Completing this quest unlocks the swim center and the ability to build swimming pools in your sims gardens! If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the volleyball pool set. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock swimming pools but you won’t get the volleyball net

Is the prize worth it? Its nice to have but once you unlock the teen mansion you get a volleyball net in the pool anyway!
Where can I find it? In the pool items tab of the outdoor section.

You unlock swimsuits after completing this quest, you need to build the costume and swim store then you will be able to buy them (these aren’t all of them!):

I cannot complete the “use the slide” task in the swimming pool challenge. I have tried repeatedly and continue to get “one or two of your sims cannot complete a task due to weather changes”
does this pop up appear as soon as you click on it? or do they start the action and it stops them, if it stops when they are doing the action I would suggest putting them on the action then going somewhere else on the game straight away until the action is complete, or you could try skipping with LPs.

I worked crazy hard to save up for the swim center, and when I finally purchased it, it only cost me 20,000 simoleons! My game did update to where I didn’t need the Pet Shop on “A Quest For Toddlers”, and I try to keep my buildings minimal until I need them, which I think helped to keep my cost so low!
Just wanted to tell you that I find your blog the most helpful source on the internet! I am checking back all the time and you have helped me soooo much with every single quest, hobby, confusion and whatever may come up next. Am on level 21 within a week or two, would never have made it that far without your valuable advice. Thanks a lot for all your efforts!

I’ll add the comment here as its pool related. Since the update today you can’t clean any size pools with a single task. Large pools take multiple cleans to clean them now.
They have been like that for a while, it hasn’t changed in this update
For a huge pool, I get up to 10 sims to start cleaning the pool at the same time. In less than a minute (seconds even)… the pool is squeaky clean before any of the Sims are even finished completing the ‘pool cleaning action’… So I can even cancel the action of all my sims and get done even quicker than it takes one sim to fully complete the task 😃

I havent completed the swimming centre quest on time and its been over a week and still wont let me build how long will it take me to do this im on level 32 so want to unlock the othet quests

you can’t miss a quest, if you definitely aren’t on an earlier quest you may need to contact EA to see if they can fix this for you.
Do you know why sometimes a sim gets paid 2525 simoleons and 2525 xp while at work at the firestation (highest level) and then suddenly the next day the same sim only gets paid 1500 (+1500 xp)? And sometimes two sims gets paid differently even though they have the same job and level? 🙂

Hi, i have a task to long ride in an inflatable toy in my neighbors but when my Sims start to enter the pool, it won’t ride the toy. It looks like the pool isn’t wide enough or something. Do you know how to get it done?
Is the pool green? If it is you will need to clean it, I can’t think of another reason why you wouldn’t be able to ride it
I did this quest for the first time after the announcement of the Royalty / Castle update last week. I’m not sure if that update changed something, but I wanted to add a little detail to your description of the Swimmingly Quest which I found interesting. During the “hijack the car in the car-park” several hours, you can actually watch your vehicle driving around in the city-scape view. And as it drives around, it leaves little car-beeps behind it (musical note icons). When you click on those icons, you get simoleon rewards or, frequently, one LP (!!!!!!). Similarly, you can drive around in your own car in the same way and click on the beeps to get usually one simoleon or five (as opposed to the five or ten from the hijacked vehicle in the swim quest). More rarely, one LP. So my point is, don’t waste that precious opportunity of hijacking the vamp truck because it gets you some free LPs 🙂 I ended up with 15 more LPs than I would otherwise have had.
Is there a way to get the money from the musical notes without having to watch the car drive around for 20 hours? They are disappearing if you ignore them (at least for me). Does anyone know?

I would just like to say that first I wanted the volleyball net, but when I read on this post that it costs 25 LP’s and that the teen mansion comes with one, I’m not worried about it and getting enough LP’s to finish tasks. Hi, it’s the Latin Villa girl again (but u already knew that) and I still have not built the swimming center. I only need like 40,000 more simoleons, and I have leveled up by TWO levels. The thing is, and I’m sorry this is in the wrong category, I keep leveling up too fast, so more quests become available. And when that happens, I feel like I have to rush, and I don’t like that. How do I slow down my leveling up?
you can’t really slow down levelling, the only way really is to not play the game!
I’m at this quest but due to the cost and fact that no one seems to have the quest done in time for a prize you can get later. I am considering delaying it so that I can build the competition center instead. Would that be more worth me spending my simoleons first?
I would definitely delay it but I probably wouldn’t build the competition center yet, I would just save up for future buildings that are needed for quests.

No, it just means you won’t get the volleyball net, you still get to build pools once you complete the quest.
Trust me it is not impossible to complete if you have many lp to speed things up. My trick always work thanks to your help. Just follow the girl who games ways to get lp by cooking and completing accesories.
I bought an adult male sim a swimwear outfit from the costume store, but wanted to have him change back to the original lavendar boxers. I’m running an older version of the game (a few udates ago) and don’t see an option for the lavendar boxers.
Is it not possible to go back to the default boxers? Thanks.
No I don’t think you can go back to those boxers once you change them

I don’t know why, but I have very different tasks from your blog. Or maybe because I don’t finish this quest on time.
This is the list that I didn’t do:
• Have 4 sims at the swim center
• Hide in swim center toilet- 1 day
• Find 1st set of diving collectibles (you need to find 3 different medals, don’t find all 3 before this goal or it won’t recognise you’ve completed it and you will have to find the next 3 aswell)
• Use vehicle in swim center car park- 20 hours 30 minutes
• Cuddle a cat at the swim center- 1 hour 50 minutes
• Give lost cat directions- 7 hours 30 minutes

I completed this quest after the DIY Home update and I noticed some changes. Apparently now the hide in toilet, find 1st set of diving collectibles, use vehicle, cuddle a cat, and give a lost cat directions tasks had been removed. I found this change very likeable as I could finish this quest 2 days earlier instead of spending tons of LPs 😉

Once you get the volleyball net with the teen mansion, are you able to purchase it in other homes?
Or do you only get one for the mansion?
you just get the one in the mansion but you can store it and put it in a different house.

I didn’t know what section to post this question in but it has to do with pools so I hope this is okay:). So I bought a new kitty and it showed up on the island inside my pool! The poor kitty has been stuck there for a day and shows no sign of swimming to mainland:). Have you heard of this and do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your help with this and the dozens of other times I’ve referenced your blog. Great work!
You could try two things:
1. click on the cat and select relocate, then choose another house for it, once at the other house you can then move it back again
2. if that doesn’t work you may have to delete part of the pool so the cat can leave the island

I can’t complete the quest. I start the Look at the diving board task and leave the game. Then I return next day and my sim didn’t even start the quest for some reason… It stops sometime in the middle of the night while I’m not playing and it happened few times in a row already…

The others I’ve not come across yet.
