- Build the community center- time and price may vary (need more money?)
- Send a sim to the community center
- Talk to wumples- 2 minutes (at community center)
- Press look upstairs button while at the community center (pulsing button in top right hand corner)
- Carve magnum opus- 12 hours 30 minutes (using workbench, can be started early at home)
- See wumples for psychoanalysis- 7 minutes
- Share ideas with wumples- 3 minutes 30 seconds
- Call home store hotline using phone: call hotline- 9 hours (this goal appears twice in this quest so if you make two sims do this option at different houses and leave one of them at that house until you get this goal for the second time you can save yourself 9 hours as it will complete the goal as soon as you go to that house)
- Browse the Internet- 4 minutes (on a computer)
- Search for bananas- 20 hours [inspired: 15 hours 10 minutes] (fridge)
- Check email- 48 seconds (on a computer)
- Creative chat with a sim- 2 minutes 48 seconds
- Call home store on phone- 9 hours
- Talk to wumples- 2 minutes
- See wumples for psychoanalysis- 7 minutes
- Have 3 sims dancing to stereo (task completes straight away)
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now add up to 5 floors to your house- a second floor costs 300,000, a third floor costs 500,000, a fourth floor costs 800,000 and a fifth floor costs 1,000,000!
You will also be able to complete the Woodworking hobby using the benches at the community center
You unlock stairs and firepoles even if you don’t finish the quest in time
Once you complete the patio, balcony and basement quests you will unlock 4 more stairs:

Is the prize worth it? Yes, there are some really nice elevators and escalators available but you do have to buy them, it also is quite tricky to complete the quest within the time limit especially if it takes you ages to save up and build the community center.
Where can I find them? In the stairs section of the home store.

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 17 before you can start this quest

Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically

The game says I have to complete the multi story renovations quest to be able to build the community center, what is the problem?
There is no problem, you have to start the multi story quest and the first goal is to build the community center so you cannot build it until you get that first goal in the quest
How do I send my sim to the community center?
Go to the community center and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker
I don’t understand what you mean when you say you can do both call the home store/ hotline goals at once to save time?
This goal appears twice so it is like being able to start a goal early that you have access to (read the question below if you don’t understand this) to do this you need two sims and two different houses:
1- When you get the goal to call home store you can set sim 1 to do the task
2- In a different house which you need to stay away from until you get the second goal you can have sim 2 also do the task
3- When sim 1 is done you complete the goal the first time
4- Wait until you get the goal again to call home store and you can go to sim 2 to complete it straight away!
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Does it matter if the banana bread burns? Will the goal still complete?
The goal will still complete even if it causes a fire
I crafted the 1st set of woodworking items before I got the task to, my game now won’t complete the goal, what should I do?
You will need to find the next 3 items in the second row to complete this goal

Hello, I am having problems with this quest. I have talked to Bree and did all the necessary steps. Bree went to the park and I guess the next step is to build the CC. However, whenever I try to click on the CC to build it, it says I need to complete the Multistory Renovations quest first. If I try to talk to Bree, it says she will talk to ke after the CC is built. I feel like I’m going in circles with this. Please help!
you need to complete the multi story renovations quest before you can build balconies. To complete the quest you have to complete all previous quests that are in your queue first.
So I’m ata level 22 and I don’t remember this quest challenge thing and i don’t know how to get it. I would kill to have more than one story in my house I just don’t know how to get it without doing the quest. Please help!!!

no you can only get stairs.

You can still get an elevator if you do the Ghost Hunting Hobby.
I apologize if this is repetitive – you’ve mentioned that you cannot get elevators and escalators (only stairs) if the quest is not finished in time. Does this apply to the fire pole as well? Thanks as always and keep up the fantastic work!

Did you know that people should beat the basement of kings on time because the day home has a singing fish from the very last leveled quest so you have your thing that inspires or you have the nightclub or the bar that’s worth 10 sps
Omg that is a lot of money i dont care if i dont finnish it in time it still takes way too long to do it and its too much i only had 150000 then i wasted it on the community center and now i only have 5000 left im poor and cant pay for a second floor im very sad

I’ve seen questions about when you get more sims around here and there, though of course when I go looking I can’t seem to find them again for replying to so I’ll just do it here. 🙂
My experience has been that you get one sim per level until level 16 and then you only get one sim on each of the even levels. This is true at least up to level 36.
So you get sims on levels: 1-16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, and 36. Which means by level 36 you could have a total of 26 sims.
Just finished the Multi Storey Renovation Quest today & I got the elevators in my Home Store! Thanks to your valuable detailed instructions. One thing that surprises me is that the task of Creative Chat was missing. I directly jumped from 1 set of wordworking to Hotline phone call. I am using Ipad. Dont know if it’s just a glitz or EA had decided to cut the tasks down. I use an alarm clock app & spreadsheet to plot the tasks time table. Schedule was pretty tight especially with 2 1/2 days allotted for community center building. It’s doable without spending LPs as long as I keep watch on the time schedules.
If you want to make a two story house, do you have to buy it, or do you just buy the stairs? Email me please.
you need to buy the second story and then the rooms then the stairs.
How do I create the first set of woodworking items?
click on the woodworking bench and do the hobby over and over until you find the first 3 items

I have done the quest and I completed it but I don’t have any tabs in the home store to get stairs and same goes for the patios and basements quest. I did them but I don’t have tabs to be BoE to build them!!!Plz help
There should be tabs for them once you finish the quests, if not I don’t know why sorry. You may need to contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you.

Hi! about what you said that i can save 19 hours for “Call home store using phone” if i use 2 sims to do that, does that apply to the 2nd “Call home store using phone task”? im seeing 2 of the same task on this quest and im wondering if i can save 38 hours in total.. i only have 3 days left to complete the task and im still at the “carve magnun opus”.. thanks!
yes you can, just put them on at the same time in different houses and stay away from the second house until you get the goal the second time around
Do you know if they’re planning on updating to allow more than 4 people living in a house? Because I don’t understand the point of spending all that money a multistory house if I still can only have 4 people living there.
probably not, the issue is to do with how much memory would be needed, most apple devices RAM is so poor they simply wouldn’t be able to cope with any more people living in a house so the devices will constantly crash
2nd and 3rd floor are expensive. What do you do to get or earn a lot of simoleons? Do you buy also from the online store?

Thanks for this great guide. Following it I was able to finish the quest on time only using 8 LP (that’s only because I got impatient). I did the 2 calls to hotline and baked the banana bread at the same time but different houses and didn’t go there until I got the task.
The game won’t let me do this quest. It says that I must build the community center first, but it won’t let me build it. I actually missed this quest and am coming back to it. So frustrating! Bree has been waiting in the park..
you can’t miss quests, it will be in your quest queue for you to do after you complete previous quests as they need to be completed in order, once you start the quest you can build the community center
This is the only quest I couldn’t finish on time. 😦 I never realized until I saw my neighbors with escalators and elevators. *sigh* if only they could sell it as some special pack, that would be the first and last thing I buy with real money. Lol.

You can’t restart the collection until you finish the hobby but you will be able to complete the goal by completing another row of the collection

no you can’t, you can only get them if you complete the quest in time

Okay, so I just finished the patios quest, and I have the community center already built, I’m on level 34, i don’t have anymore quests in my queue but I cannot seem to find wumples at the community center like I’ve go there multiple times and I’m not sure what’s going? She can take a day or longer to appear after you complete the patio quest so just keep checking back for her

I added a second story and stairs, but can’t put anything on the second floor or add windows or doors or anything. Am I doing something wrong?
when you choose an item to place in your house it will try and put it on the ground floor, press the upstairs button to place it on the next floor

Do I have to get to the 1st task of call home store using phone before I can start it using two people to help with it the 2nd time? I’m just now starting carve magnum opus, so thought I’d go ahead & start the phone task but nothing like that shows up. When I click on a phone, the longest time is 5 hrs from on hold to tech support.
Yes you have to get the goal before you find the option on the phone.

I only have 36 hours I have completed 2 sets but still not the first one! I have tried everything and have even tried using lp but nothing will work. I would of got in the time limit if this would of worked out😭😭😭😭

No, you will unlock a spooky elevator but not all of them.

Hi I have completed this quest, ages ago (not in time tho.) I have basic stairs and poles but not the 4 other stairs you pictured. (Steel and tan) I want to start balconies but Bree is not at the community centre. I think I did see her there before the Nanny update. Any advice would be awesome. Your blog is SO helpful, really appreciate your hard work!
Have you completed the patio quest? If not you have to do that before the balcony one, to complete that you need to find Bree in the park

Hello. I need some clarification here. I didn’t understand it clearly.
