YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARTIFACTS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Completing this quest unlocks the stables and horses so your sims can complete the horse tricks and vaulting hobbies. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the unicorn painting. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the stables and horses but you won’t get the painting

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Spot horses with a telescope- 5 minutes (buy from promotions r us)
- Go to the mystery island
- Spot the overgrown stables (tap on it)
- Call the mysterious number- 2 minutes
- Read a horse care manual- 9 hours 30 minutes
- Call the mysterious number again- 5 minutes
- Look up a locksmith on a computer- 8 minutes
- Build the stables- time and price varies (not enough money?)
- Send a sim to the stables
- Clean up mess in front of yard- 4 minutes
- Have 4 sims at the stables
- Clean up mess in yard with your sims (aged teens and up) (you need to repair the bathtub too) You can work on repairing all of these areas with more than one sim to complete quicker:
- Wild Grass= 30 seconds
- Weeds= 5 minutes
- Thistles= 30 minutes
- Old Tyre= 1 hour 30 minutes
- Small Rock Pile= 4 hours
- Tree Stump= 6 hours
- Large Rock Pile= 7 hours
- Water Trough= 10 hours
- Watch the horse channel- 9 minutes
- Practice brushing on another sim- 3 minutes
- Encourage a sim- 4 minutes
- Repair a stable- S30,000- 1 hour 5 minutes
- Call the stables owner back- 2 minutes
- Add a horse to the stable (S15,000 or 10SP)
- Feed the horse- 6 minutes 5 seconds

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 11 before you can start this quest

Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
Where can I find a telescope?
You need to buy one from the promotions r us store
I don’t have the promotions r us store yet, can I get the telescope without it?
No, unfortunately you will have to build the store to progress in this quest
How do I place the telescope in my house once I have brought it from the promotions r us store?
You can find it in your inventory under career and hobby items

No, you cannot build the stables until you get the goal in this quest

Just click on items when a sim is there and it will come up with options on the things that need clearing
Can I have more than 4 sims cleaning the mess up at the stables?
Yes, you can have up to 10 sims at a place so 8 sims can clear the 8 items at the same time
How do I practice brushing another sim?
Select the interaction between two sims
My game says there is something under construction when I try to repair a stable, what do I do?
Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to repair the stable (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?

Yes you have to finish it to unlock the stables and two horse hobbies; horse tricks and vaulting before you can move onto the next quest

How can you go back to a quest you did not complete ?
The quest stays until you complete it, if the quest was recently added you will get it as soon as you complete the previous quest, as long as you are on that level or over.
I’m at the “Clean up mess in yard with your sims” part of the quest, but there is no mess for them to clean. I’ve sent my sims home and brought them back, closed and restarted the game, I’m not sure what else to do to complete this part of the quest?
There is an area next to the stable that you need to clean, it has bushes and old tyres and stuff that you click on to remove.
It wouldn’t let me click on anything to clean up. I had to uninstall/reinstall twice. Thanks!

I have the same issue. The quest never asked me to “Clean up the mess in front of the yard- 1 hour 30 minutes”. It jumped straight from sending one Sims to the stable to sending four Sims. Is there anything I can do. At this point I can’t finish this quest.

Can u buy a horse for yourself
You can buy a horse for the stable, you cant buy one for a house if that’s what you are asking
That’s sly so I just wasted 15’000s on the stable 30,000s for repairing the tub and 15,000s for the horse just for a painting

Great blog! Problem-I built the stables. The quest had me bring 4 people over and then to clean the mess in the yard. There are no exclamation points over anything. When I click on the barrel nothing happens and it blocks the only way into the yard. I have tried different groups of adults and teens and tried clicking on everything. I deleted and reloaded my game 4 times but the latest save was after the problem so it does not help. I am playing on a kindle. Any ideas?

Do you have anyone standing in the way of the barrel? Move everyone out of the way and try again.
The barrel needs to be out of the way for you to access anything else in the yard 🙂
My clean up bubble doesnt come up at all
Just click on the barrel, remove that and then clean everything that is in the area 🙂

don’t panic! you aren’t late, and it won’t affect your next quests. The great thing about this game is that it doesn’t matter when you start or do a quest 🙂

Did it say you completed the go for a drive goal? If you have then the option to view horses with a telescope should have appeared but if not I would try going for a drive again

Lovely blog..:) I have the same problem as some of the people here are having for need for steed quest…Send 4 sims to clean the yard.. well I’m as well not able to click anywhere..I read in our earlier posts to remove the barrel..I’m not able to click on the barrel either… How shall I remove it? Please help

This might be a glitch as lots of people have been having trouble with this one, but the only way you can clean the area is by removing the barrel first so if there is a sim in the way of the barrel move them and try again. If this doesn’t work you may need to contact EA to see if they can fix the issue!

I was playing the sims freeplay before and I stopped playing for a while but when I returned to the game(after like a month) and when I fi fished a quest I was not on time and it continued to the other quest and the other and the other it tells me that I hadn’t finished the quest in time…. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?? Ty a lot 🙂
If you haven’t completed them in time then there isn’t a lot you can do, if you have completed them in time and its saying you haven’t then you should contact EA so they can fix this issue
If anyone finds a solution to the problem of not being able to clean the mess in the yard, please share it. I put a ticket in at the EA Zen desk 2 weeks ago but haven’t heard back yet. There is no bubble/cloud/exclamation point over anything so clicking the barrel doesn’t help.
They are working on this issue now so hopefully it will be fixed soon!

It’s not in the inventory, it’s in the furniture section under the decor tab- you have to buy it

I’m not sure how you could have missed the quest as it would have appeared once completed previous quests but the quest box disappearing sounds like a glitch so there isn’t a lot I can suggest sorry apart from contacting EA

I need to add another sim but don’t want to add a new house. I want to make a bachelor pad with some of the males I have. This will make an empty house for my new sim. But here is the thing, I do not want their last names to change when they move in. This has happened to me once before but it may have just been a fluke. Any thoughts as to how I can get this to work? Thanks for your help.
Yeah it is a fluke, it usually doesn’t work when you want it to!
I think that you may be able to change it after they move in with the ultimate makeover that costs LPs but other than that there isn’t much you can do about it
I wish EA would fix it so that names only change for sims in *romantic* relationships. That, and whichever sim proposes/initiates marriage is the one whose last name is taken (I have a lot of husbands who took on the names of their wives because they moved into her house -___-).

Yes you do, if you don’t want the reward then stay on this quest for a while and save up a bit of money for the next quest

If you don’t finish in time you just don’t get the prize, you can still complete the quest once the time is up
I am still on the Raider’s blabla quest and i started reading the big book of stuff at a neighbour’s house, it takes 19 hours but oh well.. I wanted to know if it will still count when the next quest is up or i need to read that book at my place , not at my neighbour’s in the party boat ? thanks 🙂
It won’t count if you do it at a neighbours, you can only do neighbour goals at other people towns not quest goals

I have a little (or no, actually it’s a pretty big..) problem here. When I try to clean up the mess in the yard it doesn’t work. I have tried everything. I cannot even move the oil tank. I can just walk around in the place. :c

the only thing you can do is skip with LPs
It’s part of the need for steed quest. It doesn’t give the option to skip with LPs
no that goal is practice brushing another sim which you do by getting one of your sims to select the option on another one of your sims, no neighbours are needed 🙂
How can I get my Sims to complete this quest for need of speed only can get two of my sims to go to the stables I’m unable to see the rest on my Sim tracker to send them….plzzzzzz..help me
sorry but the simtracker problem is a technical issue which I am unable to help with, you will have to contact EA for them to fix the issue for you

It won’t stay in the stable, it could be walking around outside the area, have a look all around the stables
