I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 18 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 18?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one
Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal
Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?

If i am currently “talking to a tree on an housing lot” and i have just had one of my sims start baking a birthday cake ready, i will have completed all the other tasks before its finished baking so will this count?

I’m trying to do the “talk to the tree on a housing lot” in advance, and none of my sims will talk to a tree!!! It is the ones with the talking symbols, but no action comes up when I try to get them to talk to it??
You can’t do it early, you have to wait to get the goal
How do you get your sim to a housing lot without a house on it?
click on the house. click view house, open the simtracker and click the whistle to bring your sim to the house.
I was taking my time on this quest and saving some money before I moved on. I was on the “Bake donuts” task when my game updated. After it updated, it changed to ” Grow onions.”
Not that this makes a huge difference, but I’m not sure if it was just a glitch in my game or for some reason EA changed the task. Just wanted to let you know! Maybe another follower can weigh in when they get to this quest.

I’m in the middle of the teenagers quest and I started the bake donuts early only to have the task be “grow onions” (7 hrs) instead. I just used lifepoints to finish the onion task since I had already started other long tasks coming up and didn’t want them to complete before the onions did. I guess they changed it up again and I just wanted to let you know. I wonder if it’s a variable either bake donuts or grow onions or if it is always grow onions now? Guess other of your followers may havve to chime in on that to know for sure. 😀 Thanks so much for your help. I’m an impatient person in gaming and I like to power through the quests even when I don’t have to. Knowing about those super long tasks in advance really helps me enjoy playing this game instead of just watching it, while waiting for yet another long task to finish. 🙂

How do you get a preteen to bake? I’m doing the teenagers quest right now and one of the tasks is to bake chocolate pudding, but it keeps telling me only a teenager or above can bake, so how can I finish the teenager challenge without being able to bake?
preteens cannot bake, you need to have an adult bake for this quest.

I was on the quest “Bake Birthday Cake” and my cake wasn’t ready yet but I did another quest and when it was done (in the same room where the cake was) cake was gone. And for that cake I spend my last 5LP and the quest isn’t done and I don’t have anymore LP AND even the cake didn’t get saved! Now I’m just mad and I want some food. -.- food always helps, you know? 🙂 but i’m still very sad.

I am getting a weird birthday request locked. The reason being that I have to finish the teenager quest but I am only 10% from being done. The only thing I have to do is bake the cake which I did early on in the quest so it would be ready.
if you finished baking the cake before you got the goal you will have to bake another cake
I got it to work you have to bake the cake over. Really not a biggy I just have an extra cake to make a adult into a senior. But thank you a billions for posting this quest instructions would never finish on time if it wasn’t for you.

you will have to make a new one but you can start it early, just don’t go to the house you are baking it in until you get the goal to bake it.

It can take as long as you want, you need to complete the teenagers quest before you can age a preteen to a teen, each age stage has a quest you have to complete before you can age your sim.
I’m doing the A Dance to Remember quest now and I’ve completely stopped doing this one until I make some more money. How much do you think I should save up before finishing this quest and the next few? I don’t want to finish this quest and then find out that I don’t have enough to build whatever I need for the next quest or the one after. Also, do you know a few good ways to getting lp without having to complete the quest?

Its hard to tell you exactly as building prices can vary
For the next quest you need to build the town hall (if you haven’t already)
You need the snow park for the senior quest and the bingo hall which costs 100,000+
You should be able to see how much the town hall and snow park will cost you if you were to build it now

you can’t go back, you need to complete quests in order, look in your quest queue that shows you when you can do a quest.
I have done ” grow onions ” three times and it won’t go to the next task I missing something?
I don’t know why it isn’t working, you may just have to keep trying until it works
I had the same issue. I “grew onions” literally 10 times before I realized it was garlic! The onions are purple. Haha.

So I started baking my cake early for this quest and I’m on the last piece of Sous Judgmental. I can’t open the doors because I started building the mall. I didn’t realize it would impede my progress but that’s not my question. I have all my Sims doing the teenager tasks early so I can finish it in 12 and a half hours. It will be 3 days before my mall is complete so I cancelled all the actions except bake cake since it costed LP. No you will need to stay away from that house until you get the goal to bake it or you will have to do it again

yes, as it is a goal on this quest list. Age your preteen isn’t a goal, you don’t have to do that you just have to bake the cake.
I talked to Osiris, which worked, then i grew onions, nothing happened 😦 so thought maybe a glitch restarted my tablet then grew onions AGAIN lol and still nothing…..

This seems to be a glitch, I think you should contact EA about this issue
Make sure you’re growingg onions (which are purple) and not garlic. I did it like a dozen times before I realized it! 🙂
