The Sims Freeplay- The Resolution Solution Quest

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I was hoping there wouldn’t be a new years eve quest but here it is, I just hope each day isn’t too long!

You have 4 days from the 29th December to complete this quest, you need to complete in the time limit to unlock the party pack, if you don’t complete in time you will not get the pack.

Time may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

Day 1

    • Discuss resolution with a sim- 1 minute
    • Write new years resolutions on a computer- 4 minutes

    • Complain to a sim about resolutions- 15 minutes
    • Formulate a plan on a blackboard- 2 hours 30 minutes (buy one from promotions r us if you don’t already have one)
    • Call a town meeting on a phone- 12 minutes
    • Have 3 sims in the park
    • Deliver the solution- 7 hours 40 minutes (click on the auction podium in the park) you can cancel the action for other sims to listen to the speech

  • Have a deep sleep
  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 2)

Day 2

  • Eat leftovers from a fridge- 18 seconds
  • Read a biography- 48 minutes (from a bookcase)
  • Grow some corn- 20 minutes (on a garden plot)
  • Go fishing in the park- 10 minutes (you can start this task early, when you put on the corn)
  • Use a BBQ at the park- 30 minutes (you can start this task at the same time too, but make sure you get back before the 30 minutes is up to complete the fishing task)
  • Have woohoo- 5 minutes
  • Renovate!- extend or build a room
  • Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
  • Check progress (using a computer)- 4 minutes

  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 3)

Day 3

  • Brew scientific beans in a coffee machine- 1 minute 36 seconds
  • Write a novel on a computer- 9 hours 30 minutes
  • Complain about science- 15 minutes (select interaction with another sim)
  • Prepare resolutions on a blackboard- 30 minutes
  • Have 3 sims do everything at once- 16 minutes (click on blackboard and select go! With each sim)

  • Complain to another sim- 1 minute
  • Have 3 sims do everything at once faster- 16 minutes (select go on blackboard for each sim again)
  • Have a rabid argument- 30 minutes (select interaction with another sim)
  • Send a sim to the park
  • Wait for sims on park bench (wait for help)- 2 hours 10 minutes
  • Go home
  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 4)

Day 4

  • Ask a sim what’s wrong- 5 minutes (select interaction with two sims)
  • Call 3 sims to the park
  • Emergency meeting on soapbox- 1 hour 30 minutes

  • Set up party- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on crates in the park- you need to click on all 3 with your 3 sims)

  • Call party planners on a phone- 48 seconds
  • Cheer!- 1 minute (click on party table)

  • Ask new year resolutions- 1 minute (interaction between two sims)
  • Have party- 5 hours 30 minutes (click on stereo next to party table)

imageThat is the quest finished now! If you managed to complete in time you will unlock the party pack
Is the prize worth it? Not really, its very disappointing that we still have to pay for each item, we don’t even get one each for free!

  1. I completed day 1’s tasks. For some strange reason it did not have me formulate a plan on a blackboard. Everything else was the same. Maybe I just got lucky or there are others who experienced the same thing. Very strange and thought I would share.

  7. Hey! I have two days left to complete the new years resolution. Waiting 15 hrs to go back and continue the goals. I don’t like waiting. I wonder what does the party pack include? I wish i can win it! I already got the live teddy bear for xmas 😉 though he doesnt interac much. Im at 48% finished with the party pack goals. …waiting….

  11. Hi, do you happen to know if you didn’t manage to finish the goals of one of the days, will you still be able to get the limited time prize if you complete all the remaining goals?

  12. I did not have the R U promotions store so I could not buy the black board. Yesterday I saved up money until I had enough but then it took 12 hours to build so now I am 12 hours behind the quest. Right now my sim is doing the dilivering the solution task and I still have to deep sleep. Is it even possible that I could unlock the party pack at this rate.

    • you may have to use some LPs to speed up some tasks, but if you put long tasks on over night you may be able to do it but its hard to say without knowing how long exactly you have left

  13. My problem is…I have to come back in 1 hour 42 minutes to create the rest of the resolutions, but I have to go to bed in half an hour 😦 is there any way of doing it the next day without any problems or will it not allow me to continue?

      • Sorry, I posted something but I guess it didnt get published, so anyways, i was saying that I am still not finished the stable quest for horses, but i leveled up and the quest for toddler is in queue and i heard there is a time limit for a reward and i was wondering if it still goes on the time limit or pauses until i finish the horses quest, because i really want the reward on the toddler quest (the time limit is over on the horse quest by the way) beacause It will take me a while for all those simoleons to build the stables to finish that quest and i was wondering if i would still get the timer for the reward for the toddler quest (aging the babys into toddlers) thank you u by the way for posting all these step by step quest info posts and happy holidays and happy new years eve and have a great 2015!!!🎉🎊💗🎈💝🎆🎇💖💕

      • The time limit for the toddler quest doesn’t start until you finish the previous quest
        The best thing to do is to stay on the need for steed quest until you have enough money for the toddler quest as the timer will start when you finish the need for steed quest and if you are saving up during the quest you probably won’t complete in time

  23. Wow. I live in the US on the west coast? My day 3 says it will start in about 28 minutes… Kind of weird? It’ll start at midnight… The Christmas tasks were starting at 9am…So this is gonna happen before I get to see your postings for the goals.. Makes me feel kind of lost. Lol.

  24. I’ve tried having 3 sims click Go! on the blackboard (in the same house) and have completed it twice but it doesn’t allow me to progress in the quest. Am I doing sth wrong?

  25. Hi! For the task “have 3 Sims do everything at once” on day 3, my sims just stop doing whatever they were doing before the 16mins are up. What must I do?

  27. I have a question-
    Whenever I buy a car for a sim, the game closes. When I get back in the game, I have my money back, but there is no car. I tried again, and the same thing happened.

    • sounds like a RAM issue to me
      The best thing to do is turn your device off and on again before you try buying a car, hopefully this will stop the game crashing while buying it, this isn’t a permanent fix though, you may have to do it every few days.

    • Yes, you have given some of your sims life dreams and haven’t with others, they need a personality to get life dreams so go to the wardrobe to give them one, they can all have life dreams

  39. Hi, I’m at the quest “Have 3 sím do everything at once”. I let 3 of my sims ‘Go!’ the same time and after they finished, the quest didn’t disappear. So I have to make them do that one after another ?

  40. A question on day 3, on the writing a novel on computer goal, mine takes 11 hours instead of 9 hours and 30 minutes. Why is that?

  42. They’re torturing us with (a) a timed challenge where we don’t know how much more we have to do, and (b) embedded pauses for lots of hours that stop us from continuing. But I trust that after forcing us to pause there’s enough time to get the next day’s tasks done. Still… 🙂

    • I agree, it also doesn’t help that the prize wasn’t that great!
      Yes there is enough time with the pauses included, otherwise there would be no point in having a prize if it wasn’t possible to get 😛

  46. Firstly, this blog is awesome. Thank you! Secondly, I am wondering if anyone is having the same problem as me on Day 3 task where you make 3 sims “go” faster. I have completed it twice and it will not move beyond that task. I have closed the game and sent all 3 sims to their respective homes and brought them back to where the blackboard is. Currently, I am doing it a 3rd time. Hope this does it!

  48. I am having an issue with have 3 sims do everything at once. The directions say to tap on chalkboard and select go! I have done this twice with 3 sims and it still does not go to the next quest. Any ideas?

  50. Thank you for all your putting all this information online. I am not much of a gamer, my husband is. He gets a kick out of me reading your blogs when I need help on quests. I found Sims to be fun but needed a bit of guidance on game layout. I find your detailed blogs very helpful. The house guides rock! I think I am starting to get the hang of is game!
