The Sims Freeplay- The Resolution Solution Quest

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I was hoping there wouldn’t be a new years eve quest but here it is, I just hope each day isn’t too long!

You have 4 days from the 29th December to complete this quest, you need to complete in the time limit to unlock the party pack, if you don’t complete in time you will not get the pack.

Time may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

Day 1

    • Discuss resolution with a sim- 1 minute
    • Write new years resolutions on a computer- 4 minutes

    • Complain to a sim about resolutions- 15 minutes
    • Formulate a plan on a blackboard- 2 hours 30 minutes (buy one from promotions r us if you don’t already have one)
    • Call a town meeting on a phone- 12 minutes
    • Have 3 sims in the park
    • Deliver the solution- 7 hours 40 minutes (click on the auction podium in the park) you can cancel the action for other sims to listen to the speech

  • Have a deep sleep
  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 2)

Day 2

  • Eat leftovers from a fridge- 18 seconds
  • Read a biography- 48 minutes (from a bookcase)
  • Grow some corn- 20 minutes (on a garden plot)
  • Go fishing in the park- 10 minutes (you can start this task early, when you put on the corn)
  • Use a BBQ at the park- 30 minutes (you can start this task at the same time too, but make sure you get back before the 30 minutes is up to complete the fishing task)
  • Have woohoo- 5 minutes
  • Renovate!- extend or build a room
  • Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
  • Check progress (using a computer)- 4 minutes

  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 3)

Day 3

  • Brew scientific beans in a coffee machine- 1 minute 36 seconds
  • Write a novel on a computer- 9 hours 30 minutes
  • Complain about science- 15 minutes (select interaction with another sim)
  • Prepare resolutions on a blackboard- 30 minutes
  • Have 3 sims do everything at once- 16 minutes (click on blackboard and select go! With each sim)

  • Complain to another sim- 1 minute
  • Have 3 sims do everything at once faster- 16 minutes (select go on blackboard for each sim again)
  • Have a rabid argument- 30 minutes (select interaction with another sim)
  • Send a sim to the park
  • Wait for sims on park bench (wait for help)- 2 hours 10 minutes
  • Go home
  • Come back in Xhours Xminutes- goals start again after this time has passed (time varies depending how long it took you to do todays tasks, you will not get this goal if you are behind, you will go straight on to day 4)

Day 4

  • Ask a sim what’s wrong- 5 minutes (select interaction with two sims)
  • Call 3 sims to the park
  • Emergency meeting on soapbox- 1 hour 30 minutes

  • Set up party- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on crates in the park- you need to click on all 3 with your 3 sims)

  • Call party planners on a phone- 48 seconds
  • Cheer!- 1 minute (click on party table)

  • Ask new year resolutions- 1 minute (interaction between two sims)
  • Have party- 5 hours 30 minutes (click on stereo next to party table)

imageThat is the quest finished now! If you managed to complete in time you will unlock the party pack
Is the prize worth it? Not really, its very disappointing that we still have to pay for each item, we don’t even get one each for free!

  • Party streamers (found in the door section)

  3. I made 3 sims do everything at once and when they were all finished the task it didnt do anything. What do i do?

      • I’m going to request you on Facebook too. I really need to finish some of my social goals that I’ve been caught up on cause my neighbors don’t have the items they need at their houses. I’m on the “stargaze on a neighbors telescope” right now. I am also really interested in checking out your town! I’m sure it’s great! The request will be from Leah and my profile picture is of me and my son on the beach. He’s on my back in the pic… Do I just send you a friend request and then you will be my neighbor in the game? Thank you for all of your help with this awesome blog! I visit it everyday for help with my game. It’s such a big help and you do a great job with organizing all the information!!

  7. Hello, I only got 3 days as well. Also, is there a reason why one of my 3 sims for the “Go!” part finished LONG before the other 2? I did this twice just to make sure and it happened again.

    Also, thank you for your blog. You’ve just became my go-to person for this madness. I would never have finished the Christmas quest and this is helping me with my annoyance with this current quest.

    • I dom’t know why some people didn’t have long enough :/
      Strange I’ve not heard of that issue, I’ve heard of the one where you have to do that task a few times for it to register

      You didn’t get that because you are behind, it is hard to say if you will get the prize without knowing what goal you are on. But not having to wait doesn’t mean you won’t get the prize, you just have to complete all goals in the time limit to get the prize

  12. Ugh just finished and have to say, the prize is not the best. You get 5 different items to decorate the house with and they all cost money or lp to buy. Wish I hadn’t bothered with this one 😦

  14. So my mission is to tap 3 crates at the park with 3 sims to set up party, but accidentally because i didnt read the mission i only had one sim to tap the crate! I’ve spent five hours setting the party up with one sim and i only have 9 hours left. I know that i wont complete the quest on time. My question is will the mission still be completed even with one sim setting party up?

  15. For the do every thing at once part of the quest, I always have to do it twice. It’s really annoying. Have any tips?

  16. Hello, first I’d like to say thanks not just for this post but all of yours I really appreciate you taking time from your busy life to help everyone who plays sims freeplay! I find them educating and fun, most the time without giving things away e.g in the quests with clues. But I really think EA make the quest to long! Do u agree? I mean there’s so much to do u practically have to buy coins/Lps to keep up! I’m on the second day talk scientific, do you think I’ll make it? From a adoring fan xx

      I completely agree, and a new quest came out today, after we have just finished the christmas then the new year ones! I would just like a break 😛
      I have never brought LPs I just do the cooking hobby a lot to get them 🙂
      The prize wasn’t really worth it so I wouldn’t worry too much if you didn’t make it

It says on facebook do you have any information about this or was it the party pack of so I’m very disappointed.   23. I’m finishing this up as we speak. I wouldn’t have done this quest if I knew what we were getting. It would be nice to know what the prize is and if costs are involved prior to starting the quest. Bummer

  24. Hello I was just wondering if we don’t finish it in time do we still get some sort of prize? That happened with the Christmas quest ( you got 10lp if you finish it)

      • Hi, there is a new quest, the salsa dancers, it maybe for people who didn’t finish the party quest. But I’m not too sure, only a thought since I didn’t finished

  29. Hi! Im new to ur blog. Btw thanks for uploading simsfreeplay guides for the quests theyre really helpful! Also im on the last day of the new years resolution quest and i heard that the party pack is disappointing, should i bother finishing the quest? Is it worth it?

I have completed the quest and totally agree with you I was so disappointed with the prize.Nut I did use my things for a family who just had a birthday but thought I would of got the party things free!I did complete the fireworks quest lay year and now use them with the party things to make a nice party for my sims.I have really found your blog helpfull throught this quest,thanks and happy new year!!😃😃😃😃😃😃

  42. I finished this one but was kind of disappointed also that the prize was only unlocked and nothing was awarded for free. At least it wasn’t as grueling as the Christmas one. Question though, once these have been unlocked how long do they remain in the Home Store? Do we get them for life or is a limited time offer that I would want to buy for inventory? I did notice the Thanksgiving turkey is still available to me.

  44. I didn’t finish it on time, there is no prize for it. You just get to admit that you lost so much of your precious time from the side of your family and friends. Happy new year you all.

  49. I was pretty disappointed that I had done all the quests and let the next to the last one(5 1/2hours ) and didn’t have Lp to finish before time ran out on me. Should I gave been heartbroken? Or was the junk not worth it.
