To start this quest you need to build the castle on the mysterious island. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock pet fairies! You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the castle but you won’t get the fairies
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has
- Send a sim to the castle
- Search bushes near the castle- 1 minute 20 seconds
- Say hello to the fairy- 3 minutes
- Pick flowers near the castle- 10 minutes
- Show fairy the flowers- 5 minutes
- Ask about chivalry- 4 hours 30 minutes (talk to the fairy)
- Dream about royalty in a bed- 10 hours
- Cook brisket in the park- 1 day (using a barbecue)
- Have 4 sims at the park
- Call to meal
- Tell the fairy about the feast- 3 hours 30 minutes
- Thank the fairy- 5 minutes
- Build courage on a park bench- 11 hours 30 minutes
- Catch the monster fish- 4 minutes 48 seconds each (it took me 3 times before I caught it) using the fishing rod on the pier in the park
- Tell the fairy a fish story- 3 hours 30 minutes
- Search SimList on a computer- 7 hours
- Find beans- 9 hours (fridge)
- Have two sims in the park
- Trade beans with a sim- 10 hours 30 minutes
- Return to fairy
- Answer yes to the fairy’s question- 5 minutes (select the option yes I can!)
- Encourage the fairy- 1 day
- High five the fairy- 1 second
- Ask the fairy about the bridge- 5 seconds
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now access the castle and start working on the Archery Hobby (by clicking on the targets in the castle gardens) once you complete the hobby you will unlock the royal gallery and the Jester Hobby

Where do I find the prize? In the pet store
Cost?
- Green one star fairy costs S25,000
- Blue two star fairy costs S50,000
- Pink three star fairy costs S150,000
- Purple three star fairy costs 30SP
Once brought you can find a fairy flower at the house next to the mailbox
Place in your house, the flower will then take one day to grow into the fairy
Is the prize worth it? Definitely! They are so cute and not too expensive. You can talk to them and they can do magic tricks (make your sim float) they also can find simoleons and LP around the house!

How do I start this discovery quest?

Once it has finished building the quest and time limit will begin
Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start building the castle you don’t have to do this quest at all but if you have already started building or started this quest you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
There are no plates in the park to call to a meal, help!
Cook cheese on toast at a house and you will be able to complete this goal
How do I catch the monster fish?
You need to select the option on the fishing rod in the park until you catch it
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

Yes they will

Yes you have to finish it to unlock the castle before you can move onto the next quest

No, you cannot redo quests

No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start building the castle you don’t have to do this quest but once it is built the quest will begin

I really love it that the fairies aren’t ridiculously expensive, none costs LPs! I’m going to put a lot of effort to get them once I build the castle :3
I had a little over three hours left on encouraging fairy and it made me start over. Anyone else have this problem?
that’s annoying, I haven’t heard of anyone else having this problem, it might be a good idea to stay away from the castle until the task is finished though as sometimes if you go to the place early it stops the task
I had the same problem. Returned to the fairy as time was up and had to start over. Noticed a couple of bugs since the last update. Maybe this is one. Just sucks that it happens on a task that takes so long and is timed.

I also had the same problem! But it didn’t keep me from completing the quest in time. Also, what is UP with the stupid work clothes!!!!
I repeated this 24 hour task twice and both times it made me start over. I eventually had to use 23 LPs to finish the task in order to unlock the fairies. Must be a glitch ☹ Very annoying

How do you make your sims royalty?
You can pick which sims you want to be royalty by dressing them in royal outfits which you unlock when you build the throne room, then they can issue decrees
Thank you for this! You say after you complete the archery hobby you can unlock other parts of the castle. Does this mean the castle has tons of areas to unlock like the mall again or will completing the archery hobby give you access to the rest of the castle?

How do you complete the archery hobby is there a time limit
In the castle garden there are two targets once you complete this quest, and no there isn’t a time limit
Hey, for some personal reasons i want to have 3 pet fairies in one home, can i do that?
I want to buy green, blue, and red fairies and then i will name them Thistlewit, Flittle, and Knotgrass (i took these names from Maleficent :p i think it’s a great idea, what do you think?)
So i thought it would be great if they could go together, so can i have those3 fairies in the same house?

Unfortunately you can only have two pets in one house so you can only have two fairies not three, sorry!
Can you use a BBQ in one of your Sims’ houses/yards instead of the park one? (I think it might take less time to cook the brisket on a two-star grill, but I’m not sure).
You could try, I just used the bbq in the park but it might work
I don’t have the option to cook brisket in the park or at home, but my task says to grab a plate.
I don’t know what to do.
cook something on a stove at home, then get a sim to grab that plate
I tried… Doesn’t work. You have to use the park grill.

Try serching Sereya dawn sims on facebook. She’s adding friends for those who wants to visit for social points. And she also have a pet farm! (She said she made that pet farm during the time the pet household count has a glitch) I usualy get about 10k to 20k simoleons an hour and 7 to 12 lp an hour, :)) she’s has all required items for social point tasks.

My fairy has just bloomed. It flits all over the house sometimes flying sometimes walking. It then stops and you get the exclamation mark like the cat then you receive various amounts of simmolians. Don’t know yet if it finds LPs
Hi! Every time I log into the sims freeplay it says to get the fairies fast because they’re only around for a limited time. It’s going to take awhile before I earn enough simoleons to build the castle. Do you think the fairies are going to stop being available as a prize at some point?
No, the fairies will still be the prize when you get around to building the castle, they say limited time because you have to complete the quest in the time limit to get the fairies

if you have started the dance to remember quest you have to complete that one first, you don’t have to complete that quest to build the castle and start this quest.
Do you know how to pick out sleepwear for your sims? With the new update they always take off their clothes to go to bed, which is a little strange. Lol thanks!

I don’t pick and choose. Your questions are still in moderation not ignored because I haven’t unlocked the castle yet as it opens tomorrow so I don’t know the answer until I have been able to get into the castle, when I find out the answer I can reply to you. I could just reply I don’t know if you want an unhelpful reply instead of waiting a bit longer for the answer.

I was almost done encouraging the fairy. I had about an hour left out of 24. When I went to the castle it was as if I had never even started the action. Has this happend to anyone else? Very disappointed I have to wait another day.
yes it has happened to others, all you can really do is stay away from the castle until the goal is complete
I wasn’t watching the timing, got there a couple minutes early, lost the 24 hours. Time to cough up LP. Very frustrating.
If you make a sim change clothes or something at the salon, then the action they are doing automatically restarts. I wanted to change a sim’s outfit, but they were busy, so I used the salon and that happened. Did you go to the salon?

well there isn’t much you can start early apart from grow beans, so make sure you put that on to save yourself 9 hours but its quite easy to complete in the time limit

This is the first time I’ve had to do a quest at the same time you were so it was a little “stressful” playing this quest without foreknowledge of how many long tasks were going to be given and how that would affect my finishing time for these fairies! I guess this update has huge glitch. I built castle and it wasn’t cheap. But after I finished I never got royal linage quest. It’s really annoying 😤

Hey Grrly…just wondering, if you spend more on the Fairy, do they find more money/LP in your yard? I should have asked this before I bought the Black Dragon (most expensive one). I can’t tell if he’s better than others because I only have one dragon. I guess this questions is for all “pets”.
Yes, the higher star rating (the more expensive) the pet has the more LPs they are likely to find

Hello and as always thank you for a terrific blog. I bought the faires and a dragon and I cannot see either when I return to the house. The first fairy I bought and returned to house and there was a pop up messgae but it went away accidentally when I tried to make the words bigger. Do you know where I go to activate the fairy or where I can find her? Thank you!

For the fairy there should be a flower by your mailbox, for the dragon there will be an egg by the mailbox, you move them into your house and they will grow or hatch in a day 🙂

this is not a question relating to this quest but i face many problems in completing the social tasks as none of my friends play the game and the default neighbour town has nothing.., no snow park, none of the houses has a pool. And i need social points as many things can only be bought from them…. so how can you add others high leveled neighbours.???

Does the fairy need food and water?
no
The archery hobby takes a long time to do. I have two sims doing the 7 hr 30 min task over and over. I wanted to move it along a little more quickly, so rather than waste LP’s on a lucky spin I’ve been waiting until they are just under two hours remaining in the task then use 1 LP on each to get them to complete it. That way I can get them finished 3-4 times a day instead of around 2-3. Hoping that may help someone else trying to do the same. Your blog is so super helpful and a great resource for players!

Will you be updating this page or making a new page just focusing on what the castle features are? I was hoping to know if the castle acts somewhat like a normal house that can have pets and as to what the royalty status really means with this update (e.g., crowning sim as king, is it like a career or just a title, can you give it to existing sims or must it be a new sim, is it an NPC, is the royal thing based on bloodline if LD&L quest has activated auto death in sim king, what kind of Royal decrees can be issued etc)

I’m so excited to begin this quest hopefully I can get to buy the fairies they look like so much fun ! Btw I have been experiencing problems earning LP via watching video button and the home store button… It has been preventing me from earning LP I wonder if anyone else am faces this problem?…
