This page contains links to all the main/progression, feature and discovery quests in The Sims Freeplay

MAIN/ PROGRESSION QUESTS

Main/Progression Quests have to be completed in the order they appear on this page, even if you are on a high enough level to unlock another one, the previous quest has to be completed first.

FEATURE QUESTS

Feature Quests unlock and introduce a new feature, they are shorter than main or discovery quests and there is no time limit or time limited prize available. It costs simoleons to start these quests (cost varies depending on your level) You cannot complete a feature quest if you are currently completing a discovery quest or another feature quest
  • Cars In Lots– unlocks the ability to add cars anywhere on your house lot, find Lee the mechanic at the nightclub to begin (level 26)
  • L-Shaped Rooms– unlocks the ability to build l-shaped rooms, find Lee the mechanic at the nightclub to begin (level 26)

DISCOVERY QUESTS

Discovery Quests can be completed in any order (although some will only appear once a previous discovery quest has been completed) but you can only complete one discovery quest at a time. You cannot complete a discovery quest if you are currently completing a feature quest
  • Love and Treasure– unlocks the private island house lot, build the private island to begin (level 7)
  • A Bump-y Ride- unlocks pregnancy, build the maternity store to begin (level 8)
  • Book Of Spells– unlocks spell casting hobby, build the sorcerous supplies to begin (level 8)
  • Saved by the Spell– complete the book of spells quest and find the wizard in the park to begin (level 8)
  • A Dance To Remember– unlocks salsa dancing hobby, click on the dancers next to the thinking man statue in the park to begin (level 9)
  • The Grooving Guru– unlocks the aerobics hobby, build the health hub to begin (level 9)
  • Nanny Knows Best-  unlocks new baby interactions, find the nanny in the park to begin *this quest requires a baby sim* (level 10)
  • Back to the Wall– unlocks feature walls, talk to Summer in the park to begin (level 10)
  • Vacationers Guide to the Outdoors- unlocks the campgrounds content, build the campgrounds to begin (level 11)
  • Extreme Home Takeover– unlocks the ability to submit your houses for other players to build, talk to the realtor in the park to begin (level 11)
  • A Puppy Odyssey – unlocks puppies and kittens, find the puppy in the park to begin (level 11)
  • The Sunset Mall– unlocks mall content, build the mall to begin (level 12)
  • Pretty Little Planters– unlocks a second floor to the mall, build the escalator at the mall to begin (level 13)
  • Super Toddler Secret Mission- unlocks the finger painting hobby, find the super hero toddler at the stables to begin *this quest requires a toddler sim* (level 13)
  • Strange Things In Simtown– unlocks super villain outfits for your toddlers, find the super villain at the park once you have completed the super toddler secret mission quest *this quest requires a toddler sim* (level 13)
  • Royal Lineage– unlocks the castle, build the castle on the mysterious island to begin (level 14)
  • Simtown Express – unlocks the downtown area and hospital profession workplace, build the simtown express to begin once you have completed the mysterious island quest (level 15)
  • Sims and the City– unlocks penthouse apartment templates in downtown, talk to the director sim in the park once you have completed the simtown express quest (level 15)
  • Teacher’s Pet– unlocks the Downtown High School, build the school in downtown once you have completed the simtown express quest to begin (level 15)
  • DIY Homes: Peaceful Patios– unlocks patios, find the woman wearing the hard hat in the park (Bree) to begin (level 15)
  • DIY Homes: Lovey Dovey Balcony– unlocks balconies, find Bree in the park again once you have completed the multi story renovations quest (level 17)
  • DIY Homes: Basement of Kings– unlocks basements, find Bree in the park again once you have completed the lovey-dovey balcony quest (level 17)
  • DIY Homes: All Mezzed Up– unlocks mezzanine floors (indoor balconies), find Bree in the park again once you have completed the basements of kings quest (level 17)

Frequently Asked Questions about Quests

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete a quest in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one

What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep the posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

Main Quests

I have missed a main quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in the order they appear in this post

Can I complete a main quest even though I am passed the level it unlocks at?
Yes, it will start automatically once previous quests have been completed

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish a main quest?
Yes you have to finish it before you can move onto the next quest

Discovery Quests

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Why can’t I do a discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Do I have to do a discovery quest?
If you don’t start a discovery quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started a discovery quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start discovery quests whenever you like, there is no rush!

  12. I’m doing one of the first social quests, ans it’s telling me to practice speech in a neighbor sims mirror. Do you know where the mirror is? I looked throughout the shop looking for mirrors but it wasn’t there. Do you know where to find mirrors?

    • Social tasks have to be completed in a neighbours town, so you visit a neighbour and use a mirror at their house, if none of your neighbours have a mirror you have to add someone who does or skip the task with LPs.

    • That’s strange, the quest should appear as soon as you have built the store, have you clicked on the store once it has been built?
      You may have to contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you

  24. I just got a notification about some “Ringlets of Fire” quest. I didn’t get to look at the notification before it went away. I googled the quest and it said it was a quest that had already ended. Is it comin back? How do I start it?

  25. I just received a notification that the ‘Ringlets of Fire’ quest was available. I was inactive at the time of the quest last August and understand that it was a limited time event. I was just wondering if this was a software error or if maybe they made the quest re-available to those who originally missed out on it?

  26. Ok. I am doing the quests to gain xp. How is it possible to complete some that have you go to a neighbor’s house or neighbor’s town? Example: the one that asks you to create a fashion design in the house of a neighbor in their town. Although one of my Sims is a fashion designer, I cannot get my stand to that other town to complete that quest because going into my inventory is not an option I am given. I also cannot buy another fashion stand because I am not even allowed to go to Promotions R Us in that other town. I ended up using l.p.’s to skip that quest. Now I’m given another one to show off my soccer talent and kick a soccer ball around in the yard of a neighbor but I can’t for same reason. I have a soccer ball but can’t take it with me to other towns. What am I missing ? I refuse to spend any more l.p.’s to skip another task. Looking forward to the quickest response you can give me.     • You can’t buy or add an item to a neighbours town, the only way you can complete these tasks is by using items that your neighbour has in their town, you will have to find someone who has that item or skip with 5LPs.

    • Bummer but oK. I have another question. I downloaded freeplay from a game app on my Kindle Fire and I am signed into Facebook when I play. My cousin downloaded Free play of off a FB app and plays on her cell phone. Can we become neighbor’s and if yes, how do we go about adding each other. The only option I am given is to send her a request via th FB button in my party boat. I have done that twice but she says she hasn’t received the requests. Any ideas? Thank you once again. –Jade

      • If you are friends on facebook then she should appear automatically in the party boat, but there is a problem for some where the party boat is not showing neighbours right now, this is meant to be fixed in the next update though

  28. Hi again. Ok thank you. Have invited FB friends to play but no one has. Where do I find people and let them know I need someone who has the fashion studio and the soccer ball or other items & see if they would add me as a neighbor? Also. I already spent 2,500 Simoleons to buy the fashion studio but I had to buy another one before it would give me credit for buying one. Is this how it’s going to be any time I go to complete a task for either social points or l.p. or am I doing something wrong? How is that fair to make me spent double just to complete some of these steps? Thank you again for all your help. It is very much appreciated. – Jade

    • There isn’t really any best way to earn them, you just get them randomly when you complete actions so doing anything could get you them, its hard to say what object will give you which item, sorry!

  34. I stoped playing for a bit at the beginning of the year, and the lunar new year quest has been stuck at ine point, it says “come back in 0 days and 0 hours” and wont let me do any other new quest!! Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but its still there. Any suggestions?

  35. Do you get other opportunities to re-complete QUESTS…. example the baby prize. I can’t imagine only having one baby. Tried quest twice by resetting the game. Or are there other ways to get/buy prizes?

  38. I see my friend’s freeplay level 3 and he gets haunted stuff like ghost paint and somthing like that also golden dog. im level 28 how can i get that stuff??

    • When he started the game he might have got a free dog
      And if he started playing around halloween then the haunted items would have been gifts
      You will need to build the pet store to get a golden retriever and complete the ghost hunters quest to unlock haunted items.

  41. My neighbour (I mean on the Party Boat of course XD) has a lot of pet reindeer. We’re those available for the 2014 Christmas quest? (I didn’t finish it) or were they for the year before that or something? They seem to have lots of reindeer, so I was wondering if they are really cheap too and if I might still have a chance to get them

    • we got a free reindeer for completing the 2013 Christmas quest in time but there was a glitch where every time you opened the game you got another free reindeer, that’s why some people have lots of them 😛

  42. I’m not sure why but I have no new quest appearing on my tasks area, even though the Love is In The Air and the Castle quests are promoted when I start the game.. Any idea?

  43. Loving this page! I haven’t played for ages so have build up loads of quests that I need to start. Last week I managed to open 2 quests at once and complete them side by side, but how do I do that again? It says I have 5 quests in store yet to complete so how do I kick them off? Thanks

    • What quests were they?
      Some quests are discovery quests so the book of spells, a dance to remember, the sunset mall and royal lineage can all be done at the same time as completing other quests.

  45. Hi, I have two married couples living in one house. I can’t move anyone to a new house. Do I have to divorce them, move one by one and get married again? So much work :s And if I divorce them wouldn’t they hate each other and not being able to marry again?

    • You will be able to move one of the sims out without getting a divorce, they just can’t be busy when you try to move them, select relocate existing sim on an empty house, then you can move the other partner in with them.
