On this page I have listed the most common questions I have been asked about The Sims Mobile so far, if you have any questions that aren’t listed then please ask me in the comments section- not on the post requests form!

What is my player name and how do I change it? Your player name is your username/nickname. To change it go to settings and scroll down to change player name:
Will my sims die? No, your sims will not die. When they are ready to retire they can then move out so you won’t see them anymore but they don’t die! Check out my ‘Retirement’ video here
How do I add new sims? Once you unlock a sim slot there will be a plus sign, click on this and it will say add a new playable sim, once you click this you will go to create a sim. Check out my ‘Adding New Sims’ video here
Should I pay to unlock the third sim slot with simcash? You can now complete the Roommate Race Quest from level 13 to unlock your 3rd sim slot for free! Unfortunately you still have to buy your 4th sim slot for 515 simcash
How do I access my sims info panel? Click on the sim and plumbob symbol next to your sim to open the sim info panel. From there you can see their hobby, career and relationship stories, how they are doing in the weekly sticker contest and your sims traits. Check out my ‘Sim Info Panel’ video here
How do I change my sims appearance? Click on the shirt icon down the side of your screen to access the closet:
How do I get my sims married? Once you reach level 7 and your sims are in a romantic relationship keep your eyes peeled for the propose social event, once they are engaged your sims can get married using the wedding arch. Read my ‘Getting Married’ post for more details
How do I add babies? Once you reach level 11 you can start the Baby Quest, complete the quest in the time limit to unlock the bassinet and when your sim is at a high enough relationship with another sim you can select ‘have a baby’ the sims will woohoo and half an hour later a baby will appear! Can I adopt babies? Yes, you can adopt babies by clicking on the bassinet but instead of selecting ‘have a baby’ select ‘adopt a boy or a girl’
Why can’t I play as the children? Only adult sims are playable (you can control) babies, children and elders just do their own thing but you can change their appearance! (apart from babies) Check out my ‘Making Sims Playable’ video here!
How do I change the appearance of a sim who isn’t playable?
To customise these sims click on them with another sim to interact with them and then you can see the makeover button underneath their name:
You can customise any other non playable sim in your house and non playable sims that appear around town! (pretty much every sim apart from babies and those with a blue plumbob above their head as these are other players sims)
My sim is now playable, when I try and change their outfit/hair it says ‘you don’t own those clothes or hair yet’ what does this mean? This means you haven’t unlocked those clothes or hairstyle yet so if you change your sims look you won’t be able to put those clothes or that hairstyle back on that sim
How do I move out a sim? Once your sims children have grown into adults or once sims become elders you can move them out, click on the family photo and click on the sim you want to move out, click move out and it will ask you if you are sure. Once you move them out you won’t see them again.
When will my sims start retiring? When you reach level 16 you unlock retirement. When a sim is ready to retire a pop up will appear, once they retire they will no longer be playable but will still hang around the house. You can then move them out and you won’t see them again. How many heirlooms do I need to unlock the different display cases?
- Heirloom Collection- 1 heirloom needed to unlock
- First Heirloom Display Case- 10 heirlooms needed to unlock
- Second Heirloom Display Case- 20 heirlooms needed to unlock
How do I increase my lifestyle score? Buy items for your sims home, buy clothes and by collecting heirlooms
How do I store items? Click and hold on an item until it lifts up, then click the box button to store it. Check out my ‘Storing Items’ video here
How do I place items on counters? When you want to place an item on a counter you will see coloured squares appear on the surface, these spots are where you can place the item:
How do I add rooms? Click on buy mode then on the hammer button which is build and the first tab in there is rooms. Click on this and drag the room to size:
How do I resize rooms? Go back to the room tab and click on the rotate button in the middle of the room, click and drag the white arrows to resize the room:
How do I build multi story houses? In the build tab, the second tab along is floor levels, you will need to purchase a permit to build a second and then a third floor. Once you have the permit you can then add rooms onto your new floor like you would on the ground floor- you can even build floating rooms which are rooms without a room underneath them!

How many floors can I have in total? You can have four floors in total.
- Second Floor Level– unlocks from Level 14
Costs S20,000 and takes 12 hours to get permit approved
BUT you can early unlock with 300 simcash from Level 4 (there is no waiting time if you use simcash)
- Third Floor Level– unlocks from Level 25 (you can only buy a third floor level after you have brought the second level)
Costs S80,000 and takes 2 days to get permit approved
BUT you can early unlock with 600 simcash from Level 4 (there is no waiting time if you use simcash)
- Fourth Floor Level– unlocks from Level 30 (you can only buy a fourth floor level after you have brought the third level)
Costs S200,000 and takes 3 days to get permit approved
Does buying a permit mean that all my houses will be multi story? No, you are only purchasing the permit for that house
How does the floor button work? The Floor Button can be found on your screen even without owning a multi story house but if you do you can toggle up and down to view all the floors and the roof. You can easily move items between floors using this button, just hold the item and click on the button to move floors. Check out my ‘Moving Items and Rooms Between Floors’ video here
Do I need stairs to access floors? Stairs are not required to access upper floors- your sims can just teleport but if you do want stairs you can find them in the ‘Stairs’ tab of build mode:
How do I place stairs correctly? When placing stairs you’ll see:
- White Lines– this shows you where the rooms are located on the floor above.
- Yellow Patches– these appear when you are trying to place the stairs on top of another item, if you click the green tick to place the stairs there those items will be moved to your storage. This is going to save a lot of time, rather than cancelling placing the stairs and storing those items yourself it can all be achieved in one click.
- Red– this means there is something in the way, either a wall or a sim is completing an action using an item in that area (items being used cannot be stored)

Can I place stairs outside? Yes you can, but they must be leading to a room
Can I sell items? No, you cannot sell items you can only store them
How do I unlock more land expansions? Improve your lifestyle to unlock more land expansions around your sims house:

Can I build more than one house? Yes, once you reach level 18 you will unlock new house lots. Read my ‘Neighborhood Update’ post for more information
How much does each new house cost to build?
- 2nd lot- costs S40,000 and takes 8 hours to build (but can spend 250 simcash to build instantly instead)
- 3rd lot- costs S100,000 and takes 2 days to build (but can spend 500 simcash to build instantly instead)
- 4th lot- costs S250,000 and takes 7 days to build (but can spend 750 simcash to build instantly instead)
- 5th lot (1 Landgraab Avenue)- costs S500,000 and takes 7 days to build (but you can spend 1,000 simcash to build instantly instead) (the cost to build this one doesn’t change)
- 6th lot (Edgewater Quay)- costs S750,000 and takes 7 days to build (but you can spend 2,000 simcash to build instantly instead) (the cost to build this one doesn’t change)
There is also a 7th lot called Eco Retreat, this one costs real money to purchase
What is Photo Mode and how does it work?
Photo Mode allows us to take screenshots without all the icons on the screen being in the way! The feature is only available in build mode so if you go to a party you won’t be able to take pictures but the host of the party can. In build mode you will see a camera button on the screen: 
Click this and you will see a much clearer screen:
There are a few buttons at the bottom of the screen:
1.Remove UI (icons)- this allows you to take your screenshot without anything in the way on the screen but first you can use some of the other options to set the scene
2.Pause/Play- get the perfect pose by pausing the gameplay
3.Lighting- there are 3 buttons in a rectangle:
a.Sun- set to daytime
b.Auto- will be the time of day it currently is for you
c.Moon- set to nighttime
4.Walls- allows you to toggle the walls up and down
5.Floors- move up and down the floors with this button
Once you have set your settings you can then click the remove UI button and then take a screenshot using your device (look up online how to do this if you are unsure how to take screenshots on your device) You will then be able to find the picture in your phone’s gallery and it’s as simple as that!
How do I get the UI (icons) back? Just click on the screen and the bar shown above will return and then you can click the x in the corner to exit photo mode. Check out my ‘Photo Mode’ video here
How do I join a career? Click on the pink suitcase at the workplace you want that sim to join, it will then ask you what story you want to tell, click on the picture of the story to begin the career. Read my ‘Starting and Switching Careers’ post for more details.
How do I send my sim to work? Either click on the car button under the sim info panel button and then click on the suitcase to get to the workplace or from the sim info panel you can click go to work on the career story.
Why can’t both my sims have the same job? Only one sim can be in each job at one time
How do I change my sims job? Go to the new workplace and click on the pink suitcase again, choose the story you want to tell and then it will ask if you want to switch stories, click switch, this will cost you simoleons. Read my ‘Starting and Switching Careers’ post for more details
How do I start a hobby? Click on the hobby item, choose the story you want to tell and then you can begin the hobby. Check out my ‘Starting the Guitar Hobby’ video here
Where can I find special events? You can find the pink star bubble in one of the public areas at parkside, market square or downtown. There is only one special event at a time:
Most special events are now Sweet Treat Showdown Events or Treasure Hunt Events, STS can be started from Parkside when available:
How do Sweet Treat Showdown Events work? Your sim will bake over several rounds against their opponent, a professional chef, the more skilled the opponent the more rounds there are in a challenge. Your sim needs to click the ‘Bake it!’ option on the baking station in Parkside, when they do this they will either succeed or fail (similar to risky actions) For each round they win they will add rewards to their prize basket. Those rewards are needed to unlock prizes Check out my ‘Sweet Treat Showdown’ post here
How do Treasure Hunt Events work? The aim of this event is to complete expedition and investigation events to unlock ancient relics and golden bunnies which can be used to unlock prizes! Check out my ‘Treasure Hunt’ post here
Where has my daily to do list gone? The daily to do list was replaced with LlamaZoom which has also now been removed and replaced with Sim Festival and Daily Tasks have returned
Where can I find the daily tasks? Click on the ‘Sim Festival’ button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen:
Daily tasks refresh every 24 hours and there are 5 tasks to complete during this time, if you complete all 5 you will also complete the bonus ‘complete 5 daily tasks’ task to earn extra Llama Tokens, Recycle Tokens and XP. Check out my ‘Daily Tasks List’ post here for more information
Can I still earn LlamaZoom Tokens? Yes, you can earn them from completing Daily Tasks but they are now called Llama Tokens.
What can you do with Llama Tokens? You can buy items from the home store and clothing with these tokens and land expansions:
What does Sim Festival mean? Sim Festival is an event, Sim festival events aren’t always available, when they aren’t you can still complete daily tasks to earn rewards but when a sim festival event is available it will last for 50 days and you can earn Prize Tickets by completing daily tasks and season tasks.
The more prize tickets you earn the higher prize tier you will reach, there are 60 tiers in total for each season and different tiers unlock different prizes, each season different prizes will be available. Click on the gift tab on the left of the sim festival screen to see the prizes available. Check out my ‘Sim Festival Event’ post here
Where can I find quests to complete? Click on calendar icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, there you can see all the quests you have to complete and the rewards you earn, most quests repeat once you have completed them:
How do I complete the ‘Tree of Knowledge’ Quest? You will need to complete a family event with a retired sim who previously had a career or hobby so you can find the events career mentoring or hobby mentoring and complete one of those. Your current sim must have a career or hobby to get this option and it will only appear if you have not completed another family event that day (for example the bundle of joy event with a baby)
What is the Eco Workshop? The aim of the Eco Workshop is to upcycle/repair items using materials- you aren’t really repairing anything, you just need to collect enough materials to make that item, and then you will be able to place that item in your house! The materials (thread, tape and nuts and bolts) need to be collected by completing workshop shifts, every Monday you will see new projects to complete so you have 7 day to collect all the materials and make the items before the projects refresh. How many projects can I complete? You will start with 2 slots to create 2 projects, but you can have a maximum of 4, the other 2 slots cost to unlock:
- 3rd Slot- 1,000 recycle tokens
- 4th Slot- 2,000 recycle tokens
How do I earn Recycle Tokens? Recycle tokens can be earned by completing LlamaZoom
How do I earn the materials? The materials can be earned by completing workshop shifts and your sims will sometimes earn them when they complete relationship, career and hobby events. The workshop shifts take 8 hours to complete and you have to wait for 4 hours before you can complete another shift but as you upgrade the workshop the shift time gets shorter.
What can I make in the Eco Workshop? This post contains a list of all the items you can currently make at the workshop
What are all the workshop upgrades? There are 7 stages (there are 6 levels for each stage apart from stage one that only has 1 level so 37 levels in total) this is meant to be a long term feature so there is no rush to upgrade the Eco Workshop. This post details all the upgrades
How do I give stickers? Click on a sim with a blue plumbob above their head and click on one of the stickers to give it to them. Read my ‘Guide to Stickers’ post for everything you need to know about stickers.
How do I earn fashion gems and where can I spend them? You earn fashion gems by completing your daily to do list task of giving stickers and from the weekly sticker contest (the more stickers you receive from other players the more gems you earn) You can then spend those gems at Izzy’s Fashion Shop in Parkside, he creates fabulous outfits with bonus traits for your sims to wear. What does a blue plumbob mean? This is another players sim:
What does a pink plumbob mean? This means this sim is partaking in an event:

How do I earn tickets and what can I buy with them?
Home Tickets and Sim Tickets have been replaced with Llama Tokens
Heirloom Tickets:
- Heirloom Ticket- complete family events to earn
- Super Heirloom Ticket- sell heirlooms to earn
- Luxe Heirloom Ticket- sell heirlooms to earn
Llama Tokens:
- complete Daily Tasks to earn
Recycle Tokens:
- complete Daily Tasks to earn
Tickets then can be used to buy new items for your sims house, new clothes and allows you to add new sims!
Can I change relationship stories once I begin one with another sim? No, unfortunately you can’t

Unfortunately it isn’t possible
i did it! its possible, my sims were roomies and they were chapter 4 bffs and i would always choose for them to flirt with each other with the flirty interactions, and eventually the propose event came up!
I somehow either turned my infant into a toddler before completing the nanny knows best quest.. where I’m stuck on nanny knows best quest. It wouldn’t let me do the cry to be held part to keep moving forward.. how do I complete the quest now?
Unfortunately you are going to need to add a new infant to your town to be able to complete the quest as you can’t complete it without one.
Hi! How can I send friend and party invitations to other players?
Click on the arrow down the side of the screen and click on the second tab, at the top you will see a button with a plus symbol, click on this and you can enter a players friend code into the first box. The second box is your friend code so players can add you.
I missed an eco bundle #5. Will I get a chance to buy it again?
I don’t think these packs can be purchased if you miss out on them, sorry about that
What is the list for all party themes?

My sim has sort of tears coming out of her head, is she crying? How am I to know what she needs?
Is it just an emoji in the bubble above her head? Usually these are just random and nothing to worry about.
Why don’t you make an update able to control baby’s, toddlers, kids and teenagers and make more houses

No explanation on how to sell duplicate heirlooms.
I haven’t got any duplicates yet but I guess you just click on the heirlooms collection shelf, find the heirloom you want to sell and click on it and select sell.
Is it just me or with the last update the price of stuff are really expensive
This is a glitch, they are working on a fix right now
After the sweet treat challenge has ended , they give you a certain amount of hours to cash in on your rewards.
Can you save reward tokens for the next challenges prizes instead?
No you can’t saved up tokens for the next event, they will be converted to simoleons once the event is over.

Is this a sims freeplay or sims mobile question? You cannot demolish houses in the sims mobile but for freeplay you can click on the house when it is empty and then scroll to the end of the list and select the demolish option.
when i entered izzy’s fashion shop, i create a new design but the clothes always done for male, how do i get a new design for female?
Do you have any female sims yet? If not you won’t make any clothes for female sims, you will only make clothes for male sims but it is completely random so you cannot make it so you get a certain gender.

I have two playable sims but can’t move my wife in as there is no room for her apparently… how do I change this? I also wasn’t able to ha e a child with her we could only adopt..?
Have you unlocked the space for a 3rd playable sim? If not you will not be able to move her in until their is space for her
Once one of ur playable Sims retire, then u can move her in. To have a baby, make sure there is no one else in the room. Plus, don’t have the bed next to the wall.
How often can you retire sims, and how many traits can a sim earn in a day?
I’m level 25 now and finally retired one of my first sims. Before I retired one of them, both prompted me to retire them every day since level 16. After retiring one of them, I immediately went to retire the other, and the option wasn’t there. I’m curious if there is a cool down between retiring sims?
Can you only retire 1 sim per day?
I retired 3 sims today so you can definitely retire more than one sim a day. Traits depend on how much your sims do each day so that really depends on how much you are playing.
How do I get the piano heirloom is there some trick like completing the guitar hobby and dj career before you retire?
The piano heirloom was a pack in the store that cost simcash, once brought and placed in your sims house your sim can complete the piano hobby.
What does a dull pink plumbomb mean?? Whenever they are on the same event with the other sim, it turns dull unlike having an event with another person’s sim?
The only time I’ve seen a dull pink plumbob is when that sim is completing a sweet treat showdown event

You cannot get rid of sims that aren’t yours, are they not one of your retired sims or children?
My relationship story has ended but I have a quest to begin a new story . . .can I not begin a new story with my 2 existing sims?
Unfortunately no, you cannot complete a new relationship story once you have finished one.
My Sim just got married and I’m wondering, what will happen if the other player retires the Sim before I can move them in and get all the things for a baby? Will my sim’s husband just disappear?
You might still see him around the town but unless you have another sim who is friends with him you won’t be able to invite him over but you also don’t have to retire them as soon as the pop up appears unless it is your first sim retiring
How many heirlooms do I need to unlock the heirloom shelves?
For the first display case you need 10 heirlooms to unlock and the second you need 20 heirlooms
I just got my 17th heirloom and the first shelf finally unlocked. Such an odd number lol

At the start of a new day you need a retired sim who either had a career or hobby or both at your house then click on them and you should be able to find the event to either ask for a hobby mentoring session or career mentoring
hi im please help me im stuck at level 2 😅.. i already done the barista job but when i got home i don’t know what to do next.. i only have 1 quest that is to meet neighbors.. i tried to click every one who passby but it always telling that “can’t chat now”
Usually it says that if they are currently in an event, if the sims picture at the bottom is pink with a star they are currently completing an event such as going to work so they won’t be able to talk to other sims until they have finished in the event

My woman sim recently married a guy sim. Wanting to change his hair and clothes but when I choose a new style it states” my sim doesn’t own the clothes yet”
He is playable, but would like to change his hair and clothes.how do I get the option for this?
You can change his clothes and hair, that pop up is saying that you haven’t unlocked something he is currently wearing so if you change his hair or clothes you won’t be able to put that hairstyle or outfit back on him as you haven’t unlocked it yet.
If you don’t finish the baby quest in time how do you get to do it again? Or can you buy the crib without finishing the quest?

Hello ! I have two sims that retired and moved out. I’ve invited both of them to meet with their daughter who I’ve promoted to be the sim I now control and play with. Lately the socialize button for those two retired sims has been grey while everyone else’s has been green. Why can’t I socialize with them ? I never see them around town either.
Also, will my current sims also retire and move out after its done completing task and stuff ?
The socialise button will be grey when your sims are no longer in the town, they still show on your current sims screen as they have a relationship with them but they have left so they won’t be able to visit again
Yes, a pop up will appear when they are ready to retire but you can click not now until you are ready for them to leave
What level do I get the option to add the 3rd and 4th Sims? I have finished level 40 but it still says to pay 175. Thank you
Unfortunately they have changed this so the only way to unlock a 3rd or 4th sim is to spend simcash
How do you get party cake?
To get party cakes you need to attend parties, it is one of the rewards when a party levels up
I’m in an event & earning solid pink stars. What are those for?
Those fill up the bar at the bottom of your screen, once the bar is full the event is complete.
can I still purchase furniture if I don’t have any home tickets?
It depends what you want to buy,some items don’t require any tickets but some do
Does anyone know where to find the beverage shelf? I’m being told ny Llama to do a task using a beverage shelf but I can’t find one.
I am wondering if that is the same as the coffee display shelf? That is in the wall decorations section

My sim recently married a male sim after divorcing her other partner, but her ex is the only partner in the family portrait, how can I get rid of him in the family portrait and add the new husband?
Is the ex still a member of the household? You will have to move him out to remove him from the portrait
I don’t think he is, I click on his character on the portrait and there are no options, it only comes up with ‘adult’ underneath his name, no option to remove him or move him out

If I fail to complete a special quest to unlock a job or hobby will it come back.
Yes, the internet icon quest returned to unlock the internet icon hobby so I assume they will be bringing them all back in the future.
How do I start the chance to dance career? Where should I go? What should I do to trigger the dance magic quest?
That event is not currently available, these events return so it will be back again one day

They will stay when you retire your sims

Yes there seems to be, I was trying to make a massive living room once but it was just red, it didn’t tell me that the room was too big. I didn’t make a note of the largest room size I could have though, sorry!

Is it possible to meet and then build relationship with other simmer’s unplayable sims?
For example, my friend has playable sim A and sim B, and unplayable sim C who is a (though already an adult) son of A and B. Can my playable sim meet with C? If so, how?
I’ve read around that to interact with other simmer’s sims is through a party, but it didn’t exactly specify if I would be interacting with playable or unplayable sims. And I have noticed that there are no children in parties.
If I can not interact with other simmers’ unplayable sims, does it mean that those unplayable sims is only accessible to them? Or, in other words, my unplayable sims would only be accessible to myself?
Unfortunately their unplayable sims only appear in their own house on their game so you won’t be able to interact with them so yes only you can interact with your own unplayable sims.
My tablet died, how do I play on my desktop?
You can’t, you can only play this on a mobile device.
Sims Mobile has been borked for me since the start of the Harvest event….not a chnance to finish in time!
Can new sims take old sims’ career/hobby once the old sims have retired?
New sims can start that hobby or career when a sim retires but they will have to start from level 1
Can past events come back?
It depends, a lot of them do return for example the back to school one has come back but seasonal ones for example Halloween Haunt probably won’t come back as there will be a new Halloween one next year
There is a quest called match match and I’m supposed to buy new clothes, I’ve both new clothes for both of my sims and it’s not working! Help 😦

Hello. I have a problem with the astronaut career. I leveled up my Sims until 10. However, the event to complete the career story does not appear. So my Sims cannot end the astronaut career story, and have to retired. What happened actually? How can I fix this?
So you don’t get the last story chapter once you reach level 10? That sounds like a glitch to me, I would suggest you report it on this page: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/the-sims-mobile-bug-reports-en and hopefully they will fix it for you

I just retired my first sim today. Can I play as her daughter? Also, why can’t I get the Tree if Knowledge option??
Yes once the daughter is an adult you can make her a playable sim as long as you have space in your house. You will only get the tree of knowledge option when you do family events with the retired sim, the option actually is ‘skilled career or hobby mentoring’
I am completely stuck on tree of knowledge. I tried with 2 sims to get the elder event and failed. I started the better late event. And it took me through all the levels and I completed it with 2 sims. Now I’m trying with my 3rd sim to get the mentoring hobby event. And it’s taking me through the event steps again. The only option was to start the quick hangout which I did. What am I doing wrong? My retired sim completed a hobby and career.
Does your current sim have a career or hobby? That is needed for this to appear
Has your sim completed other family events that day, for example the bundle of joy event with a baby? If you have the mentoring events may not appear until the next day
How do you get out of the park?plz help mere I am stuck!
Click on the car icon on the bottom left of the screen, this opens with 3 options, work (sends your sim to their workplace) the pinpoint (takes you to the map so you can travel anywhere) or home (sends your sim home) so click the home button to travel to your sims house

I have a question about family events with children. My kid already has a birthday cake, but I clicked on not now in hopes of doing more family events with him because he currently only has 1 star for the good upbringing trait. Do you happen to know if family events can still pop up even if the child already has a a birthday cake and you can age ‘em up anytime?
You should be able to do more family events if you don’t age them up
Ok I know I’m probably being an idiot but one of the quests says Emily would like a portrait? How do you do this, I have no clue how to do this, so utterly confused. Anybody got any ideas?

I added A new baby to a house that already has a baby and got a new crib now I cant Put either baby in the cribs to sleep there is a bubble over each crib that says I’ve reached max amount of sims and can’t add more how do I fix This I’ve already put them both in inventory and put them back still not working
I’m not sure why the babies aren’t in the crib anyway, when you add a baby it should just go into the crib. I would recommend reporting this bug here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/the-sims-mobile-bug-reports-en and hopefully they can fix this for you.
Hi!! I’ve been following all your posts for sims freeplay for a while now, you’re so helpful. I finally took up playing mobile now too. I was wondering if you knew if it was a game glitch or something I was unaware of but my Sims keep “losing weight”. I build the sim to the way I want and Ill come back to the game and the sim will be thinner! I’ve fixed it back to the way I want and it happens again. It’s driving me nuts!

I have unlocked the second lot and started building a house. I have 3 sims in my first house. How can I move one of my existing sims into the new house? Or add a new sim into the new house? When I go to the house there is no option to add or relocate an existing sim. I can only travel there but can’t move in. Please help, thanks!

My sim built a relationship to level 10 with a community sim and got engaged, but by the time I could get them married he aged up to an elder. I really don’t want my sim to marry an elder but I can’t find a way to break off the engagement to find a younger sim. I had seen elsewhere on the internet where someone just went ahead and married their sims so they could then divorce them, so I bought the wedding stuff and now I’m not getting the “get married” option anymore when I click on the fiancé (it was gray before and told me I had to buy the stuff to complete)…help?! I don’t know what to do to get out of this relationship!
Have you tried just starting them in a romantic relationship with another sim?
Why do certain objects briefly glow pink when I start a related event(like if I bought the mixer and then start a cooking hobby event, or if I bought the mismatched mug rack and then start a barista career event)?
These are items that give you a head start in that event so they will fill up the bar slightly when the event begins so you can complete it quicker.
How can we open 2nd, 3rd and 4th characters? (Example: Generously, Flirty) I want to throw a birthday party for open wedding party. But it says “your Sim needs a second character”
When you can add a second sim you will see the plus symbol at the bottom of the screen, to unlock the 3rd sim slot complete the roommate race quest: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2019/06/05/the-sims-mobile-roommate-race-quest/ and to unlock a 4th sim slot you have to pay simcash.
I started the baby quest but I cannot seem to start the baby budget event yet and when ever I click on the sim I want to do it with the event doesn’t show
