The Sims Mobile- ASOS Fashion Show Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

A time limited event has started in The Sims Mobile! The aim of this event is to earn enough ASOS tokens to buy all the ASOS clothing in the 13 day time limit!

What is ASOS? ASOS is a British online fashion and beauty store, you can shop online from many countries. On the activities tab of the asos screen you can find a code for 20% off asos online!

How do you earn ASOS points?

  • Complete the Catwalk This Way Quest to earn ASOS point rewards, there are 11 parts to complete:

1.Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show- you can find the ASOS area in the middle of Market Square, click on the a bubble and select start event:

2.Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show- you will need to wait 6 hours before you can complete the next event there

3.Complete Fashionably Fun event with a Friend- click on another sim and select start event:

4.Purchase some ASOS clothing for your sims- click on the asos button in the corner of the screen, at the top you can see how many ASOS points you have to spend and at the bottom you can see all the clothing you can purchase (anyone else think all these items look ugly?! I have never been one to follow fashion trends!) Click on the price to buy that item:

5.Complete the ASOS Fashion Designer Challenge Event- find the a bubble at the Fashion Studio and click start event

6.Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show

7.Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show

8.Buy a piece of ASOS Clothing from the ASOS Prize Store

9.Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show

10.Complete the ASOS Marketing Campaign Pitch event at the Agency (in downtown)

11.Earn the photography career from the ASOS prize store (once unlocked, place the heirloom from your storage to complete this)

The 4 events you can complete throughout this event are:

  • ASOS Fashion Show- at the ASOS area in the middle of Market Square, can be completed every 6 hours
  • ASOS Fashion Design Challenge- at the Fashion Studio, can be completed every 8 hours
  • ASOS Marketing Campaign Pitch- at the Business Agency, can be completed every 8 hours
  • Fashionably Fun Friends Event- with a second sim, can be completed every 8 hours

Buying Clothing

Click on the asos button in the corner of the screen, at the top you can see how many ASOS points you have to spend and at the bottom you can see all the clothing you can purchase. Click on the price to buy that item:

  • ASOS Western Jacket costs 100
  • ASOS Checkerboard Trousers costs 135
  • ASOS Skirt in Cow Print costs 150
  • ASOS Wool Beret in Red costs 175
  • ASOS Borg Jacket in Pink costs 195
  • ASOS Rainbow Stripe T-Shirt costs 225
  • ASOS Jacket in Cow Print costs 255
  • ASOS Bomber with Stripe costs 280
  • ASOS Western Mini Skirt costs 300
  • ASOS Check Overcoat costs 330
  • ASOS Pattern Jumper costs 400
  • ASOS Vinyl Mac costs 455

The bar at the side of this screen unlocks more prizes when you reach those milestones:

1.10 Fashion Gems

2.Cutting Edge Fashion Heirloom to unlock a new Fashion Story

3.High-End Digital Camera Heirloom to unlock the Photographer Career

4.Model Photography Heirloom to unlock a new Photography Story

To reach those milestones you need to purchase the clothing, the more asos points you spend the more rewards you will earn!

What did you think about this event?

I am happy they have changed it since the Hot Tub Event, now we can pick which items we really want rather than getting one at random. Although I really don’t like the clothes, I really like the other prizes we can unlock, I am aiming to unlock the photographer career as that sounds amazing!

The Sims Mobile- Spring Egg Hunt

The Egg Hunt has begun on The Sims Mobile, complete these tasks to find all the eggs before the time is up!

If you find all the eggs and complete all the tasks you will unlock the bunny toy pictured above!

  • Spring cleaning time! Search for the egg shelf behind the couch- 10 seconds

Unlocks the Cracking Good Shelf:

  • Spread some spring spirit! Give out 3 stickers (give stickers to sims with blue plumbobs above their head)

  • Someone must know about the eggs. Complete 2 relationship events (select start event on another sim twice)

Unlocks the Jelly Bean Dot Egg:

  • This hunt is getting a bit hare-y. Taking a quick nap should help (select dream about hidden eggs on a bed)- 10 seconds

  • Was that an egg at work? Search for it by completing 3 career events

Unlocks the Skippy Zigzag Egg:

  • Party Time? Egg-cellent! Hop over to a party- (attend a party)

  • Rumour has it that earning 10 Sim Tickets will help your quest (complete relationship events to earn)

Unlocks the Springtime Stars Egg:

  • 3 eggs down, 2 to go. Reflect on your progress at a vanity mirror (bathroom sink vanity)- 10 seconds

  • This egg hunt is taking its toll, let’s earn some Simoleons!- earn 200 simoleons by completing events

Unlocks the Pastel Diamond Egg:

  • It’s time to grow your network. Start 3 new friendly relationships (select friendly introduction and then on begin a friendship click start event)

  • Let’s give out 3 more stickers, maybe someone will know about the last egg
  • Incubate some relationships. Complete 2 relationship story chapters (complete events until you get the option to start next story chapter twice)

Unlocks the Bunny Hop Egg:

  • Egg-ceptional work! Time to admire all of the decorated eggs (once placed on the shelf click on all 5 of the eggs and click admire decorated egg)- 4 seconds

  • Hopportunity knocks. Complete 2 career story chapters (complete career events until you get the option to start next story chapter twice)

Unlocks Bun Bun the Bunny toy decoration:

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

You can find the shelf and eggs in your storage section as you unlock them, you can then place the eggs on the shelf:

 

Although this quest was easy to complete I found it fairly disappointing, the Hot Tub one was a nightmare with the repeated rewards but at least there was more of a reward to aim for. In future I would like to see more information from the creators on the game about these events as I didn’t know if I was just completing goals to earn the eggs or if there some other prize at the end of it all.

The Sims Mobile- Hot Tub Dreams Event

A time limited event has started in The Sims Mobile! The aim of this event is to earn enough ducky bucks to buy the hot tub goody bag to unlock all the hot tub items in the 7 day time limit!

How do you earn ducky bucks?

  • Complete the Hot Tub Dreams Quest, there are 9 parts to complete:

1.Dream of hot tubs- 5 seconds (select the blue option on a bed)

2.Watch the Home Hot Tubbing Channel- 5 seconds (select the blue option on a TV)

3.Complete the Haute Tub Couture Fashion Event- go to the fashion studio and click on the duck symbol and select start event (your sim doesn’t have to work at the fashion studio to do this) You can complete this event every 6 hours

4.Buy and equip the Dreamy Swimsuit- click change appearance, click on style and then on the outfits sections and buy the swimsuit

5.Check out your dreamy new swimsuit- 5 seconds (select blue option on a mirror)

6.Show off your swimsuit to friends- 5 seconds (select blue interaction between two sims who are friends)

7.Complete the Spa-Side Snacks Culinary event- go to the restaurant and click on the duck symbol and select start event (your sim doesn’t have to work at the restaurant to do this) You can complete this event every 6 hours

8.Earn a tub-load of Ducky Bucks- earn 50 ducky bucks by completing the spa-side snacks event and haute tub couture fashion event and by completing your daily to do list

9.Plan future hot tub parties with friends- 5 seconds (you need to do this 3 times)

  • Complete the Spa-Side Snacks Event- can complete every 6 hours
  • Complete the Haute Tub Couture Fashion Event- can complete every 6 hours
  • Complete your daily to do list each day to earn 10 ducky bucks

Buying Hot Tub Goody Bags

You can either buy a goody bag for 50 ducky bucks or 150 simcash. You will get an item at random each time,  you can get some of them more than once, for example you could win up to two hot tubs and up to 10 chairs:

Each item pictured has a ribbon next to it which shows you the rarity of that item, this shows you how likely it is you will earn that item so the main prize, the hot tub unsurprisingly is rare:

Once you have unlocked an item there will be a tick on that item, the aim is to unlock all the items before the time limit is up!

What can you do in the hot tub? Your sims can use it on their own or with other sims. Some of the other options require you to have items from this event placed before you can do them:

If you don’t managed to win the hot tub you won’t be able to buy it once the event is over

What did you think about this event?

I managed to get the hot tub but only after I had all but given up, I saw a few people post that they had just got a hot tub so I decided to give it one last go and I actually won it! Before that I got the same thing 3 times, a swimsuit so the second and third time it was converted to the smallest amount of ducky bucks ever!

Even using simcash didn’t help, I think if we use simcash on events like these we should be at least guaranteed an item that isn’t a repeat, I just really hope they change these events to make them fairer in the future!

The Sims Freeplay- Animal Onesie Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER

The Animal Onesie Time Limited Hobby Event is back but be quick as it is only available for 6 days! You have to complete the Internet Kitten hobby collection 6 times in the time limit to unlock all the onesies! You can not complete once the time is up. Each time you complete the collection you unlock a dog and cat themed onesie. If you have never done the Internet Kitten hobby you can find that post here (you need to buy a kitten and a kitten play box to complete this hobby as explained in that post)

NOTE: you need to have completed the A Puppy Odyssey Quest to be able to complete this event.

If you completed this event last time it was available you will not get it this time, if you got some of the onesies last time you will only have to collect the ones you have left so if you completed it 3 times before you will only have to complete it 3 more times in the 6 days

You need to firstly accept this quest, it will remove the collectibles you have already got so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the goal tab.

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have a sim in a neighbours town (your neighbours needs to have a kitten and kitten play box available to do this) so you can have 4 sims working at it (you can have 3 sims in your own town completing this hobby- you need a kitten and play box for each sim completing this hobby)

-you need to have at least one sim at level 6 or working on getting to level 6 so all achievements are unlocked- luckily it doesn’t take very long to level up with just the 1 hour 15 minute option!

-remember to click start new collection on the hobby collection list once you have got all the pieces otherwise you won’t find any new items, this post tells you how to do that.

– don’t panic! They will probably bring it back again if you don’t manage to complete it this time!

-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

Prizes: Onesies can be found in the wardrobe for adults under outfits for free

The Sims Freeplay- Mean Curls Hairstyles Review

This is my review of the hairstyles you unlock in the Mean Curls Time Limited Hobby Event, I will be ranking them from 9 to 1 with 1 being my favourite- this was really difficult as there is only one of these which I really don’t like!

If you completed this event in the time limit you will be able to find these hairstyles in your wardrobe for your adult female sims.

9. I don’t like how this one is flat at the top and the rest is curly- it just looks odd! It does look better from the back though.

8. This hairstyle is very current (it’s impossible to leave the house without seeing someone with this style) I’m just not very keen on this hairstyle!

7. Really interesting short hairstyle, looks great from the side, not such a fan of how it looks from the front. I really like it in the darker colours, I don’t think it looks as good on this sim in the natural brown but the purple really works!

6. I like this but it does look a bit like this sim has really dry damaged hair!

5. You get a surprise when you put this one on your sim as this hairstyle is braided on one side, again really modern and a nice style!

4. I prefer how it looks from the back rather than the front but I think the two tone colours work really well with this one

3. Beautiful style and it works well in all the colours!

2. Really love this, we needed some modern shorter hair! More like this in future please!

1. This is my absolute favourite, I think it works in all the colours- especially in the purpley colour (as shown in the image on the right)
