THIS QUEST IS NOW OVER

Christmas is back in simtown- update your game now to unlock new quests and Christmas items! (I will be creating a post on what is new in this update as soon as possible)
This is the first of two quests this Christmas, you have to complete this quest in 3 days to unlock all the new winter clothes for yours sims!

First set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults and teens

Call the mayor on a phone- 48 seconds

Print flyers using a computer- 4 minutes

Place flyers on lamp post in park- 9 hours 30 minutes (only need to place flyers on one lamp post)

Have a strong hot coffee- 48 seconds

Bake an apple pie (using a stove, select baking)- 40 minutes (can be started early)
Fall asleep in a bath- 2 hours 20 minutes (can be started early)
Open the package (by mailbox)- 12 seconds

Wait for part 2 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Second set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter hats and clothes for adults and teens

Call the mayor on a phone- 4 minutes
Send out carol advertising (computer)- 2 hours 50 minutes

Call sims about carolling (phone)- 4 hours

Set up camera in the park (on the x)- 8 hours 15 minutes

Have 3 sims at the park
Use camera in the park (completes as soon you start the task)

Carol for the camera- 5 hours 15 minutes (you need two sims to select this option on the camera- if you are speeding up with LPs you will need to use LPs on both sims to complete the task)

Upload carol video (computer)- 12 minutes

Open the package- 12 seconds
Wait for part 3 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Third set– complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults, teens and preteens

Have 3 sims in the park
Have 3 sims clapping- 1 minute (podium)

Have 3 sims carolling- 6 hours 15 minutes (podium)

Listen to the mayor-5 minutes (podium)

Murmur doubtfully- 15 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

Have 2 sims brainstorm together- 5 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

Play loud rock music on a guitar in the park- 45 minutes

Place a flare on the X- 1 minute

Turn on the flare (click on flare and select turn on)

Unpack the locomotive- 2 hours 30 minutes

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 13 UNLOCKS: top floor of mall and wumples play center TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: seesaw

Once you have completed The Sunset Mall Quest you will be able to build the escalator at the mall and begin this discovery quest. If you complete this quest in the time limit you unlock the seesaw. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the top floor of the mall but you won’t get the seesaw

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

Send a sim to the 2nd floor of the mall

Read the poster- 1 minute

Investigate a store- 2 seconds

Ask the plant to move- 5 minutes

Grill patties at the park- 20 minutes (using the barbecue)

Feed burgers to the plant- 6 hours 30 minutes

Clean the plant’s mess:
- Broken tile- 5 hours 30 minutes
- Trash- 1 hour 30 minutes
- Trash- 30 minutes

Call sim fashion- 24 minutes (on a phone)

Return to plant (go to the mall)
Yell at plant- 5 minutes

Step closer to plant- 12 hours 30 minutes

Search for teleport remote- 19 hours (using a computer)

Build a teleport remote- 20 seconds (using a TV)

Teleport plant- 8 seconds

Go to park
Teleport plant to the best spot- 12 hours 15 minutes (the image below shows you which spot you need to select)

Build the first store- 1 hour (costs S10,000)

Try something on (using the wardrobe)
Take selfies- 5 hours 30 minutes

Email fashion photos- 19 hours

Send 2 sims to the park
Start photoshoot- 12 hours 30 minutes (you need two sims- one needs to wait for the photographer then the other sim needs to start the shoot)

Capture photo of plant (using the camera button on the screen)

Hug plant- 1 day

Say goodbye to the sim eating plant- 10 minutes

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

You can now clean up the top floor of the mall to unlock new stores, my Guide to the Mall shows you what needs cleaning in the mall, how much the stores cost and what clothes you unlock in each store! You can also now build the Wumples Play Center which is on the second floor at the mall (mainly for toddlers)

It has two swings, a slide and a see-saw for your sims to enjoy!

Prize: SeeSaw

Cost? S30,000 or 7SP

Is it worth it? It’s cute but expensive for what it is, and there is one at the Wumples Play Center when you complete the quest

How do I start this discovery quest?
You need to complete the sunset mall quest then build the escalator to the second floor before you can start this quest

Does the time limit start when I click to build or once the building has complete?
Once it has finished building the quest and time limit will begin

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start building the escalator you don’t have to do this quest at all but if you have already started building or started this quest you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

I can’t find the poster to read, where is it?

How do I complete the photoshoot?
You need two sims, one to wait for the photographer and the other to start the shoot

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the wumples play center and second floor of the mall before you can move onto the next quest

No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start building the escalator you don’t have to do this quest but once it is built the quest will begin

The Sims Freeplay- Super Toddler Secret Mission Quest

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 13 UNLOCKS: finger painting hobby TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: cartoon hero costumes

You need to find the super hero toddler at the stables to start this quest (do not click to start this quest until you have built the stables and have a toddler sim in your town) If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock super hero costumes for your toddler sims, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the finger painting hobby but you won’t get the costumes

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

Note: you need a toddler to complete this quest

Greet Superpower Ultra- 1 minute

Accept mission- 2 minutes

Send a toddler home
Draw a plan of action- 12 hours 30 minutes (buy a blackboard from the toddler section)

Ask for milk and cookies- 2 hours 30 minutes

Give cookies to a toddler- 1 minute (using the classic wall cabinet from counter tops section)

Ask for a second plate- 5 minutes

Grab a second plate of cookies- 5 hours 30 minutes

Give cookies to Superpower Ultra- 6 hours 30 minutes

Accept sidekick role- 15 minutes

Watch cartoons- 2 hours 50 minutes

Victory dance with Superpower Ultra- 5 hours 30 minutes

Escape on a rocking horse- 12 hours 30 minutes (buy a rocking horse from the toddler section- the rocking plane works for this too!)

Return to the stables
Slowly approach horse- 2 hours 50 minutes

Look for a carrot- 11 hours 30 minutes

Give a carrot to a horse- 4 minutes

Talk to a horse- 5 hours

Return home
Take a time out- 19 hours (bed)

You can now complete the Finger Painting Hobby by buying the finger painting easel from the promotions r us store. The time limit for the hobby begins as soon as you complete this quest

Is it worth it? Yes, they are new outfits for toddlers, and they run around while wearing them

VACATIONERS GUIDE TO THE OUTDOORS QUEST – CAMPFIRE – TEEN, ADULT AND SENIOR SIMS – PRIZES: TENTS, DEER MEADOW, CANOE AND 3LP

TIME LIMITED HOBBY – TIME: 7 DAYS – TIME LIMITED PRIZE: CAMPFIRE

Once you complete the Survivalist hobby, open the bridge and clear the area (check out my guide to the campgrounds post for more information) the 7 day time limit will then start straight away, your teen, adult or senior sim needs to complete this hobby in the time limit to unlock the campfire:

When you first begin this hobby and click on the storyteller chair you will only get one option:

Tell a comedy story- 3 hours 30 minutes

You will need to find 3 different comedy stories to unlock the romance story option, once you find all 3 romance stories you unlock the action stories to find those 3, once you have those 3 you unlock the last option which is scary stories, when you find those 3 different stories you will complete the collection:

Tell a comedy story- 3 hours 30 minutes
Tell a romance story- 4 hours 30 minutes
Tell an action story- 5 hours 30 minutes
Tell a scary story- 6 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: once you complete the collection for the first time you can find the stories in any order but you will still need to do each option to find the different stories to complete each row

TIP: only one sim can complete this hobby at a time, you can send another sim to a neighbours town to complete this hobby (if they have unlocked the storyteller chair!)

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the story collectibles in that row. You still level up in this hobby but the hobby level up percentage isn’t important as the story collectibles don’t unlock depending on your level, when you finish a row of story collectibles you will unlock the ability to find the next genre of stories in the next row.

The table below shows you the level up reward that your sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?

The completed storyteller collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

The first time you complete a row you will unlock a new genre of stories to tell, further times you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

If you complete this hobby in the time limit you will unlock the campfire which can be found in the outdoor decorations section and costs S20,000. You can turn it on/off, roast marshmallows for 5 minutes or warm up for 10 minutes

The rewards for completing this collection are tents, deer meadow, canoe and 3LP:

The first time you complete the collection you unlock the tents, deer meadow and canoe at the campgrounds (even if you do not manage to complete the hobby in the time limit)

Once you have completed the Vacationers Guide to the Outdoors Quest you can then open up the picnic area:

Firstly the area needs cleaning:

Gas Bottle- 10 hours 30 minutes x2 = 21 hours
Trash- 8 hours 30 minutes x2 = 17 hours
Garbage Can- 6 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 4 hours 30 minutes x3 = 13 hours 30 minutes
Jerry Can- 4 hours 30 minutes x3 = 13 hours 30 minutes
Broken Lantern- 3 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 1 hour 30 minutes x3 = 4 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 45 minutes x6 = 4 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 15 minutes x2= 30 minutes

Total: 3 days 12 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: use as many sims as possible (max 10) to clean up quicker!

Once you have cleaned the area you can start on the Survivalist Hobby

This is a time limited hobby, you have 7 days to complete the hobby for the first time to unlock picnic baskets
Once you have completed the hobby you unlock the suspension bridge, bird feeders and lookout post
Teens, Adults and Seniors can do this hobby but only one sim can complete it at once

TIP: you can send another sim to a neighbours to complete quicker with two sims!

Click on the compass/ survival gear in the middle of the picnic area:
The only option is explore for 2 hours 30 minutes

TIP: when using LPs you can wait for half an hour to pass then you will only need to use 1LP to speed it up instead of 2!

Once you complete the survivalist hobby you unlock the suspension bridge, bird feeders and deer spring falls lookout (use the lookout to complete the goal to test the depths)

Build the suspension bridge to access the rest of the campground and storyteller hobby.

Once you have access that area it needs cleaning:

Garbage Can- 6 hours 30 minutes x2 =13 hours
Trash- 8 hours 30 minutes x5 =42 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 15 minutes
Trash- 45 minutes x3 =2 hours 15 minutes
Trash- 4 hours 30 minutes x5 =22 hours 30 minutes
Jerry Can- 4 hours 30 minutes x2 =9 hours
Gas Bottle- 10 hours 30 minutes x5 =52 hours 30 minutes
Broken Lantern- 3 hours 30 minutes x3 =10 hours 30 minutes
Oil Drum- 12 hours 30 minutes x3 =37 hours 30 minutes
Trash- 1 hour 30 minutes

NOTE: use as many sims as possible (max 10) to clean up quicker!

Once that area is clear you can start on the Storyteller Hobby

Again this is a time limited hobby, you have 7 days to complete the hobby for the first time to unlock the campfire
Once you have completed the hobby you unlock the tents, canoe and deer meadow
Teens, Adults and Seniors can do this hobby but only one sim can complete it at once

TIP: you can send another sim to a neighbours town to complete quicker with two sims!
