YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE IN STITCHES QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Completing this quest unlocks automatic ageing so your sims can age and die as well as the ability to give your sims personalities and earn orbs to build new places; the pet park, arcade, beach and carnival. If you complete this quest in the 5 day time limit you will unlock the singing salmon which makes your sims inspired! You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up but you won’t get the singing salmon
How long does this quest take to complete?
Right now you can reverse your sims back to the beginning of their life stage for FREE so they don’t have to die if you don’t want them to!
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Call a friend on a phone- 4 minutes
- Send invitations on a computer- 4 minutes
- Send 5 sims to snow park
- Tend the bar in the snow park (stay tending the bar for the next task)
- Order a cocktail at cabin (snow park)- 32 seconds (you can only do this task when someone is tending the bar)
- Ask Osiris about new inventions- 6 minutes 12 seconds
- Open the age controller (see steps 1 and 2 in the image below)
- Advance an adult sims age
- Send a sim to the park
- Examine the glowing orb- 1 day 20 minutes (can be found on the pier in the park)
- Give the orb to a senior (that sim will pass away during this quest)
- Open the life dreams menu (see image below)
- Choose a life dream
- Fulfil a life dream- you could get any one of these life dreams, I have included how to complete them (times may vary):
- I want to read Sci Fi books from a preteen bookshelf- 4 hours (Select Sci Fi from preteen bookshelf)
- I want to debunk theories of relativity while drinking tea- 13 hours 20 minutes (Select debunk theory of relativity on teapot)
- I want to write letters to sci fi celebrities on the computer- 7 hours 12 minutes (Letters to celebs option on computer)
- I want to get all Dr Whoozits memorabillia via the internet and send it to a museum- 11 hours 42 minutes (Select the option on a computer)
- I want to talk to tech support about computer systems on the phone- 4 hours 30 minutes (Select the option on the phone)
- I want to create an edible board game army by baking gingerbread sims- 6 hours (Bake Gingerbread on a stove)
- I want to read encyclopedias from bookshelfs- 3 hours (Select encyclopedia on a bookshelf)
- I want to argue with park statue constantly about the virtues of Dr Whoozits- 8 hours 20 minutes (Click on the thinking man statue in the park)
- I want to have many scientific breakthroughs in the bath- 9 minutes (Select the option on a bath)
- I want to strategize chess on a chessboard as often as possible-6 hours (Select the option on a chess board)
- I want to have marathon movie sessions on a TV- 8 hours (Select Movie Marathon on a TV)
- I want to tell a lot of sims all about Ms Vampire Slayer- 10 hours (requires another sim, select option)
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 5 minutes
- Tap on the beach, carnival, arcade or pet park on island
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 20 seconds
- Fulfil a life dream- (the same as you did before)
- Have a scientific breakthrough in the bath- 9 minutes
- Debunk theory of relativity while drinking tea- 10 hours 30 minutes
- Tend to garden- 1 hour (plant)
- Prepare family dinner- 6 hours (stove)
- Complete a cycle of life (goodbye senior sim!)
- Have 4 sims in one house
- Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
- Have a baby- 1 day (can be started early) (having a baby through the pregnancy event will complete this)

Hi started new quest though I am not sure about it. Got to 24 per cent and can’t find and open the age controller, so I am stuck. What wil happen at end of time, can I buy salmon and what will happen about the quest? Any ideas would be helpful.
The age controller should be under the tab on the right hand side that has careers and hobbies on it
If you don’t finish the quest in 7 days you won’t get the salmon but you will probably be able to buy it for real money, you can still complete the quest after 7 days. You will need to complete the quest to advance in the game.

The quest doesn’t run out of time it’s only the salmon that does. You have all the time you like to complete the actual quest
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! Once Osiris builds the Age Controller, your Sims will naturally age when they complete actions. Their age can be told be the new colored rings around their heads. Completing actions will make the rings fill up. Do not allow them to fill up if you do not want your Sims to naturally age
Eventhough i bake a ckae for them they will eventually age up without baking a cale?
You won’t need to bake cakes anymore, your sims will age automatically
Is that the little green bar circle thingy around the sims’ heads in the sims menu? Because I’ve been making my preteen do a lot of karate lately, and the green bar is getting really full. I haven’t completed the Life Dreams and Legacies quest yet, but I’m up to the task “Grow Pumpkins”
Yes it is, when it turns to red they are nearly at the end of that stage, when the stage is up a cake will appear above their head.
Your sims start ageing when you complete the goal ‘advance an adult sim’ not when you finish the quest, but it does say this in the post already.
After completing the quest is it possible to pause the growth of your sims? I see the puse button. Though at this time it’s inactive.
Yes but I think you need to use life orbs for this which you get when your senior sims die

The pause button can be found in the age controller tab, you will need to complete the quest before you can use this button.

Hi, I haven’t got this quest yet. I’m currently on the preteen quest if that matters, any idea when i will get it?
You won’t get it until you competed all previous goals, and it unlocks at level 24
My town is full but if one of my seniors dies before I have to add the baby, does it leave a space free in the town or not?
It should do, just don’t add another sim before you have to do the have a baby task

Once you get the quest you will have 7 days to finish it
I cannot find any life dreams in my life dream tab for any of my seniors, what am I doing wrong or what have I done wrong? The tab is empty and I’ve done everything up until this goal.
Well you should find a life dream for a senior sim, im not sure why you cant. Are you looking in the right place- the life dreams tab is the one with the picture that looks like a bubble, at this point you should at least have one sim in this tab, the first line will tell you what they want to do, you just need to fulfil it
I have the same situation. I see the life dreams tab, but the space is empty. My sims age and die without leaving legacies.

You have to give your Sim a Sport or Geek personality in order to give them life dreams. To give them a personality go to a dresser/armoire and choose “Browse Clothes”. From there you can choose a personality to give them. Hope this helps.

how do I complete the scientific breakthrough in the bath? I have used different sims and clicked on the bathtub, I don’t see the option.
You can only do this task once you reach this goal, if you are there and still can’t do it make sure you are using the sim that you aged

Legacy quest my aged was turned into a geek when given orb then next task said fulfill life dream but there is nothing there at all.

Are you supposed to have both the beach and arcade on the island? I have just a beach. Was wondering if this will become a problem as my senior has turned into a geek.
The beach is on one side of the island and the arcade is on the other, they are locked at the moment you have to buy them with orbs

Any tea set, you need to rotate it, it probably isnt working because the front of the tea set cannot be accessed
Make sure you are buying a teapot and not a coffee machine

I am at the end of the quest but it won’t let me have another baby. Couple is married. I click on cradle and it Says I have reached my sim limit and if I want unlock it will cost 80lp. One of my sim did die. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?
The sim that dies still stupidly counts as a sim for some reason, you may have to wait until you level up, click on the circle of the person at the top of the screen and see when the next sim unlocks
This stinks!! I have killed off 3 sims and it still says I have reached my sim limit!! Ugh! Obviously I am not going to be able to complete this quest within time allotted. What will happen? I just won’t get that fish or whatever? EA should be ashamed of themselves.

if you don’t finish within the time you just won’t get the fish, you can still complete the task after then (well, if it lets you!)
You can have only 2 kids in each family . if you already have 2 kids it wont let you have another so try another family.
Hi i thought that the part of having a baby will be free.. But it says that i have to buy it or wait until level 47 (im in 36) or spend 100 lp 😦 what can i do?
It is free, but you are at your sim limit- you can either kill of a sim or wait until you get to level 47

No, you will see the greyed pictures, you basically just need to click on one of them
Even though my sims are doing the tasks they ask on the Life Dream things, there is no progress. I have made my sporty sim go fishing like 5 times and progress is still at 0%. Is it a technical problem, or is there a reason for this? Thanks!
Are you doing the right task? The task it tells you to do you should find the option on the object, if you are then it may be a technical problem
Is anyone else having issues with sims not being inspired? All their needs are full but they are still mopping around and not glowing. I’ve tried restarting the game but it doesn’t work. Hopefully when I win this stupid fish it will fix this!
P.s if you use a life orb to pause a sim it only lasts for 7 days. Made that mistake.

I’m having the inspiration problem too, but mine was still a prob even after I got my sims together to talk about the sim that passed.
You need to do actions to fill up their needs
I’m having this same problem. They’re needs are filled but still they are upset and slow. This started today when my sim died. Some other sims’ fun dropped to red and even after filling that one, they are not inspired.

If you pause using an orb it depends what orb you use, to how long it lasts, the highest orb (i think it’s platunium but I may have made that up :P) will pause your sim infinitely
You need to talk to another sim about death. I’m not sure what it’s listed as when u try to talk to others.
I’m having the same issue with 3 of my sims, but with mine their inspiration suddenly dropped to red so I filled the bar up and they never sparkled/glowed and still walk slow and hunched over. This is annoying because if your sim is inspired you can grow beans for 1,260 instead of 840 so I’m missing out on extra simoleans 😦

They have to grieve and reminisce. Do this by approaching another similar to talk, close grieve or reminisce.
Scratch that last comment. I figured out the issue. When a sim dies their friends need to reminisce with another sim to become inspired again….is it me or is this update getting more complicated?!😖

You need to go to the baby section and buy a crib, it will then give you the option to add a baby if you have a married couple living in that house

If you go to the age control panel you can find the sim you want to age and click the first button, it will give you the option to advance your sim to death, or I think you can find death wandering around your house and you just click on your sim
HELP PLEASE?! I have 30 sims, the max amount. Well 29 now they killed one 😦 anyway i’m on level 39 and can’t have another baby till level 44. Says I’m at my sims limit. Killed off another but still won’t let me… what can I do? Obvs not getting to level 44 in two days so that’s the salmon gone but will I ever complete this task or will I have to wait till level 44? The killed sim still counts as a sim for some stupid reason so you will probably have to kill off another sim to add a baby or you can just wait for ages until you get to level 44

How do you complete the “Tend the Bar” I sent the sims to the snow park tended the bar, had sims talking. Still not complete. What am I missing? Thanks!
Click on the bar in the doorway of the cabin at the snow park to get this option, then leave that sim tending the bar to do the next task of ordering a drink with another sim
Hi! Is there a way that I can pause the ageing of one of my sim even though he doesn’t have a life orb? I do have one life orb (silver) but it doesn’t belong to the sim I want to stop the ageing. If silver orb can’t, does platinum orbs have this ability (to stop the ageing of other sims)? Thank you! 🙂
All orbs pause ageing but for different lengths of time, the platinum one is the only one that pauses their life infinitely but if you just leave your sim doing nothing they will live longer
Since I at my max for sims and can’t have a baby until lvl 50 (at lvl 46) will adopting a toddler give the same effect?
No it won’t, you may need to delete a sim if you don’t want to wait

No problem 🙂 you will need to buy the fish, it isn’t free, it should be in the decorations tab but you will probably see it in the featured section, place it in your home and then get a sim to use it to become inspired instantly!

You need to go to wardrobe to give your other sims personalities so you can get life dreams for them
for my preteen sim to blog about gaming on a computer do i just click update blog, cause i did it twice and still at 4 % she just aged from toddler to preteen.

I can’t get my Sim to order a cocktail at the cabin… when I click on the bar it says tend only. Anyone else have this problem?

I completed the goal about two days ago. Now the baby I added is a pre-teen and one of my pre-teens has grown into a teen. I have 29 sims, 20 adults, which were all set to the same age. I suspect they’re all going to die at once.
Also the Grim Reaper following the seniors everywhere they go is really creepy.
If you leave them doing nothing they will stay at that life stage longer so maybe leave some adults so they don’t all become seniors at once
I thought the grim reaper only appeared when their timer is up?
I have just got the grim reaper here at one of my seniors house and he has just over half his time left until the afterlife. I think the grim reaper appears around half the time left of a senior.

Hi. I’m currently on examining the glowing orb but before that I already did baked birthday cakes for my two preteens. And i can’t understand the circle around my sims with a green color on and its completing the circle. What is this for? I’ve read that my sims will aged eventually, but how? Eventhough I won’t bake birthday cakes my sims will age? I have 25 sims. 4 toddlers, 2 preteens, 2 teens, 1 senior and the rest is adults.
You can still use cakes to age your sims early but your sims will age automatically now so you don’t need cakes
The circle is a timer, when you do actions it slowly fills up, when it is full your sim will age to the next stage and if it’s a senior they will die

The dream from one of my sims is to calculate the max speed of a race car. How can i do this?

I do also have that kind of dreams. Mine is an adult. How can I do that? Also, is it advisable to give all mysi ms a personality even though they are adluts? It says that its better to have them on infants or toddlers.
I would have thought this would be a life dream of toddlers because they have the race track toy, maybe you could try that? I have no idea what else you could use
I meant its best to pass on life orbs from your dead seniors to your toddlers but if you just give your adults personalities they will start with a bronze life orb so it’s a good idea
Get the race track that is located under the toddler furniture.
In order to calculate you need to buy a blackboard in the hobby shop.

Yes, you can see who has the life dream in the life dreams menu, no other sim will get these options on items

My toddler sim’ s life dream is to “build sandcastle in a sandpit.” I have had her doing this over and over again for the past 2 days and she is still at 0% progress for her life dream. I even tried aging her to preteen which gave her a “study at desk” life dream and she has 0% progress towards her life dream despite the fact that she has done it several times. Any idea what’s going on? She’s fully inspired and everything when I have her do these tasks so I don’t know what the problem is.
Some other people have been saying this too, I think it must be part of the life dreams glitch that is making life dreams not appear and not increasing,hopefully EA will sort this out soon!
How do I complete the Life Dreams? One of my Sims is at 10% while the others are below 5. Do I do their life dreams over and over? Or does the percentage go up from others things such as hobbies, working etc..? I am a bit confused because my Sims percentage doesn’t rise when I do their life dreams.
You need to just do their life dreams over and over to make progress, they go up really slowly but some don’t go up because there are so many issues with this update that EA need to fix

I’m not on this quest yet, but I have the update and I really don’t want my sims to die. I don’t mind sacrificing one to complete the quest, but I don’t want any more to die. Do I need to get just one platinum life orb to pause all my sims ageing or do they each need to have one? Also how do you get the life orbs? Is it easy? Thanks in advance!
You need a platinum orb for each sim, you get orbs by doing life dreams, it isn’t hard it just takes ages
In order to calculate you need to buy a blackboard in the hobby shop
