YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE IN STITCHES QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Completing this quest unlocks automatic ageing so your sims can age and die as well as the ability to give your sims personalities and earn orbs to build new places; the pet park, arcade, beach and carnival. If you complete this quest in the 5 day time limit you will unlock the singing salmon which makes your sims inspired! You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up but you won’t get the singing salmon
How long does this quest take to complete?
Right now you can reverse your sims back to the beginning of their life stage for FREE so they don’t have to die if you don’t want them to!
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Call a friend on a phone- 4 minutes
- Send invitations on a computer- 4 minutes
- Send 5 sims to snow park
- Tend the bar in the snow park (stay tending the bar for the next task)
- Order a cocktail at cabin (snow park)- 32 seconds (you can only do this task when someone is tending the bar)
- Ask Osiris about new inventions- 6 minutes 12 seconds
- Open the age controller (see steps 1 and 2 in the image below)
- Advance an adult sims age
- Send a sim to the park
- Examine the glowing orb- 1 day 20 minutes (can be found on the pier in the park)
- Give the orb to a senior (that sim will pass away during this quest)
- Open the life dreams menu (see image below)
- Choose a life dream
- Fulfil a life dream- you could get any one of these life dreams, I have included how to complete them (times may vary):
- I want to read Sci Fi books from a preteen bookshelf- 4 hours (Select Sci Fi from preteen bookshelf)
- I want to debunk theories of relativity while drinking tea- 13 hours 20 minutes (Select debunk theory of relativity on teapot)
- I want to write letters to sci fi celebrities on the computer- 7 hours 12 minutes (Letters to celebs option on computer)
- I want to get all Dr Whoozits memorabillia via the internet and send it to a museum- 11 hours 42 minutes (Select the option on a computer)
- I want to talk to tech support about computer systems on the phone- 4 hours 30 minutes (Select the option on the phone)
- I want to create an edible board game army by baking gingerbread sims- 6 hours (Bake Gingerbread on a stove)
- I want to read encyclopedias from bookshelfs- 3 hours (Select encyclopedia on a bookshelf)
- I want to argue with park statue constantly about the virtues of Dr Whoozits- 8 hours 20 minutes (Click on the thinking man statue in the park)
- I want to have many scientific breakthroughs in the bath- 9 minutes (Select the option on a bath)
- I want to strategize chess on a chessboard as often as possible-6 hours (Select the option on a chess board)
- I want to have marathon movie sessions on a TV- 8 hours (Select Movie Marathon on a TV)
- I want to tell a lot of sims all about Ms Vampire Slayer- 10 hours (requires another sim, select option)
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 5 minutes
- Tap on the beach, carnival, arcade or pet park on island
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 20 seconds
- Fulfil a life dream- (the same as you did before)
- Have a scientific breakthrough in the bath- 9 minutes
- Debunk theory of relativity while drinking tea- 10 hours 30 minutes
- Tend to garden- 1 hour (plant)
- Prepare family dinner- 6 hours (stove)
- Complete a cycle of life (goodbye senior sim!)
- Have 4 sims in one house
- Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
- Have a baby- 1 day (can be started early) (having a baby through the pregnancy event will complete this)

Hi! I’m back from playing sims freeplay. It’s been 5 and a half months that I haven’t played my sims. I have orbs on some of my sims. How can I get all of my sims to have orbs? Is it required that all my sims have orbs? Of so, how?
To all get orbs they need to have a personality, to get one you need to take your sim to the wardrobe and select the sporty, geeky or entertainer option. You will now be able to choose a life dreams, once the life dream is fulfilled at each life stage you will get an orb when your sim dies.
They dont have to have orbs but it will make it easier when trying to build the arcade, beach and carnival as you need orbs! 🙂
Where exactly in the wardrobe are these options? Do I have to complete the quest to see the option, because all I see are clothing, hair, and eye color change choices…

They really should have more personality choices.
They seem to be adding a new one with nearly every update
I thought the orbs help make the Sims immortal? How can you build those places if you need them to keep Sims alive??
Only platinum orbs keep sims alive, but you need them also to build certain things, its your choice if you build a place or keep a sim alive with them
You can’t use the orb on every sim. Once that sim dies there will be an orb on the ground that you can use on a baby.

I’ve been told this so many times, I was going to wait until I redid the quest until I change this but it’s changed now, I wish they would stop changing things- I can’t keep up 😛

Do you have to kill off the sim you aged into a senior for the quest or can it be any senior? I only have two days left to complete it so please answer fast.. I really don’t wanna kill my favorite sim.
I think it has to be the one you aged.

The task of Debunking a theory while drinking tea is 13hours 😭
It depends what tea pot you use.
When you say tap on Beach or arcade, do I have to build it? Am asking because I want to build a house and I don’t want when the task come, am not able to do it. Thank you so much
You can build the beach and arcade in your own time, it won’t be a goal you also need orbs from completing life dreams to build them
I so much like the idea of a build a hospital and letting our Sims become ill and we have to be able to treat them…….than this automatic aging and death quest. I hope EA has heard that some us are Not happy with this quest update.

You use life orbs to build places such as the arcade and the beach, different types of orbs build different places, you need geeky orbs to build the arcade. Orbs are gathered by completing life dreams and can only be retrieved once your sim has died.

Has EA stopped this whole automatically ageing/dying thing since many people(myself included) don’t really want to see our Sims die???? I am hesitant to start this quest because of this….

Do you have to have a senior sim to do this quest? Or can you use an adult sim as the sacrifice
you use an adult sim that becomes a senior and then dies
I’m doing the pirate quest and I’m not sure whether to do the life dreams and legacies quest or not because there is so much bad stuff about it. Also do you get babies automatically or do you still have to buy them?
You still have to buy babies, if you don’t want to do it, don’t do it but remember if you don’t you won’t be able to do future quests

No sorry, you can’t buy any of the quest prizes from the online store anymore.

No it doesn’t cost anything and I have no idea sorry, there are no major things to buy though, its only like buying a cocktail and baking items.

Just letting you know….on this quest now and instead of ‘have senior grow watermelons’ which obv. Take an hour, I got ‘grow a pumpkin’ which is a 24 hour task! Gutted as already started the gingerbread baking 😒 xx
What do the coloured rings around the Sims faces mean? They have green, red and grey I think. And how long is a lifetime for my Sims?.
A grey one means that life stage has just begun, a green means its filling up, a red means that that life stage is almost over.
does this mean all of my future sims will die? i dont want them to automatically age and die, can this feature be turned off?
Yes they will die at some point, and no it can’t be turned off
I chose the movie marathon as my first Fulfill A Life Dream. Do I just go to a TV and watch a movie marathon?

Didn’t get a free fish when I finished the taskbon time. Contacted support and waiting on a response for those who have had the same issue….
Its not free it costs 8LPs and can be found in the decorations section.
So once we assign a sim an orb, we cannot change it or take it back?

You can change the personality but I think you lose the orb if you do that
You don’t need to start with a toddler, a toddler will have more life dreams than an adult, I would get all of your sims doing life dreams regardless of their age.

When a SIM dies does it leave space to add a new one? Sorry if this is a repeat. I can’t see my last post. Maybe I didn’t do it correctly.
When a sim dies the sim count goes down then you can add a new sim.
I just want to say I find your tips on the quests very helpful! Also I don’t want to finish this quest the idea of keeping up with living and dying sims is stupid! My opinion of course… Good luck everyone!

You cant skip the quest, you can just leave it but you wont be able to do future quests.

Why do you need spots for two new sims? Don’t you just add one baby?
There was a glitch where it wouldn’t remove the sim that died from the sim count so you needed an extra space.
So, I’ve spoken to Osiris and now I’m to ‘open the age controller’ – but where is it? I can’t find it anywhere!!
You know the tab with your job and hobby information? It is a new tab in that section

After completing the life dreams and legacies quest I find it really funny that one of my seniors has nearly lost her life in the bird feeding competition.
Mine they started aging by the time I opened the age controller

I haven’t opened the age controller (I have zero interest in my characters dying!), yet one of my babies just became a toddler. There was a slowly creeping red ring around their image for the past week or so, then today a birthday cake popped up (I haven’t baked one in a very long time) and it gave me the option to either age him to toddler or skip it for 1 LP. I chose the former option because I intended to do that soon anyway, however, I don’t know if this means he (and possibly the other Sims) will automatically age from now on even if I don’t finish the quest/open the age controller. I’ve never seen this happen before nor heard of it happening, have you?

If he has started aging automatically then yes he will continue and all your other sims will too, sorry but they have obviously changed it to start ageing at an early point than opening the age controller now!

No, it never ends, you have so much to do, making houses and building relationships, when the game is updated new quests become avaliable.
I have a problem! I’ve been avoiding aging up a sim bc I’m not ready, but i have the green circle over their head pics! They are running their time out & I have NOT yet aged a sim yet! Help
There is nothing you can do now, they are going to age and die
But if you have some lps to spare, you can reverse the green age circle to the beginning of their present ages. But eventually if you have some favorite sim, you should work live dreams to get platinum orbs then they won’t age anymore. But that does take awhile which I’m finding out.
I don’t mind too much the aging but I do think they age too quickly, EA should slow it down some. But can’t you make identical sims again.

Do you have to use lifestyle Points in this quest
You don’t have to use LPs in any quest
So I guess it’s safe to say that, if you can only get the orbs after the Sim dies, that if they’re given a platinum orb, you’ll never get the orbs that they earned…?
You can get orbs off of a sim that is still alive so yes it is possible

Just curious, how do YOU (or anyone) select which sims to keep at the same age? Or do you age every sim. I am focused on the adults that have hobbies that only adults can do. Like fashion design, woodworking, ghost hunter…I don’t want every sim to age and die. I guess the main priority now is to get orbs
I just age all of them now, I’ve got to the point where I don’t even change their names or what they look like in create a sim, I get them doing their life dreams then once complete they are gone and onto the next one

Oh and also do you know about when SFP first came out?
Firstly I only do that in one game and I only kill them off straight away when I need an orb to build something, on my second game I havent done that quest yet because I don’t want to have to do that.
But building houses is the best part of the game anyway.

The timer only goes up when your sims are doing a task
So the timer only goes up everytime I do a task or does it start once I do a task?

Everytime you do a task.
I will explain with a baby, if you do the 4 hour option their timer will go up by 4 hours, so you would have to do that option 6 times to fill the timer for that stage (as babies only live for a day) or if you did the hibernate for a day, as soon as they finish that they will have to become a toddler.
I was wondering how fast your sims actually age. My sims freeplay is on my dad’s I pad and I only get it on weekends. I have had this game for a while and I am on level 31. I am far behind on my quests, but for the future, I wanted to know if I should do the quest and make my sims age. I don’t think it is such a bad idea if it takes a while for them to age.
If it goes by fast, then I won’t because I only get it 2 days of the week.
Can you avoid this by just not doing the quest? I already got the update.

But they will only age when doing a task, so because you are only on at the weekends your sims will last quite a long time

This is the same unnamed person as before who only gets sims freeplay on weekends.
Also is there anyway to earn more lps because even though I will be the one paying money my dad won’t let me spend money on a game that does not impact your real life.

Sleeping is doing something, just standing around, no action.
As soon as the quest starts, the timer of 7days begin right? So if you hold off for long, you’ll not get the Singing Salmon?
