The Sims Freeplay- A Christmas Chill Quest

THIS QUEST IS NOW OVER

Christmas is back in simtown- update your game now to unlock new quests and Christmas items! (I will be creating a post on what is new in this update as soon as possible)
This is the first of two quests this Christmas, you have to complete this quest in 3 days to unlock all the new winter clothes for yours sims!

First set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults and teens

    • Call the mayor on a phone- 48 seconds

    • Print flyers using a computer- 4 minutes

    • Place flyers on lamp post in park- 9 hours 30 minutes (only need to place flyers on one lamp post)

    • Have a strong hot coffee- 48 seconds

  • Wait for part 2 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Second set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter hats and clothes for adults and teens

    • Call the mayor on a phone- 4 minutes
    • Send out carol advertising (computer)- 2 hours 50 minutes

    • Call sims about carolling (phone)- 4 hours

    • Set up camera in the park (on the x)- 8 hours 15 minutes

    • Have 3 sims at the park
    • Use camera in the park (completes as soon you start the task)

    • Carol for the camera- 5 hours 15 minutes (you need two sims to select this option on the camera- if you are speeding up with LPs you will need to use LPs on both sims to complete the task)

    • Upload carol video (computer)- 12 minutes

  • Open the package- 12 seconds
  • Wait for part 3 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Third set– complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults, teens and preteens

    • Have 3 sims in the park
    • Have 3 sims clapping- 1 minute (podium)

    • Have 3 sims carolling- 6 hours 15 minutes (podium)

    • Listen to the mayor-5 minutes (podium)

    • Murmur doubtfully- 15 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

    • Have 2 sims brainstorm together- 5 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

    • Play loud rock music on a guitar in the park- 45 minutes

    • Place a flare on the X- 1 minute

image

    • Turn on the flare (click on flare and select turn on)

    • Unpack the locomotive- 2 hours 30 minutes

  3. I just got the new update but I can’t seem to find the quest. I’ve looked all over the town waiting for it to pop up like normal.

  4. I can’t quite tell if you need to place flyers on all the posts, or just on one? I went ahead and put a Sim to work on every post…

  5. Yay finally a new update showed up! I had been waiting patiently for this long-awaited update and it did’nt disappoint me with its new feature. I love the logo, i think it’s a lot more prettier than the old one. And i also like the new plumbob animation for our sims, too. It looks exactly like the sims 4’s plumbob. Maybe one day we can have the sims 4 game graphic, too.

    I spot few changes which this update brings:
    1. The sims Freeplay new logo, you can find it on every loading screen or when you press exit button in your game
    2. New plumbob animation/graphic
    3. It seems like a sim does not have to wait for another sim to complete his/her action before he/she can do the same action on the same object, for example when a sim tries to take a book from a shelf another sim can take a book as well from that shelf without waiting for the first sim to reach the shelf and take his/her book.
    4. The LP lotus now costs vip instead real money
    5. There are new vip bonuses

    Do you think that they’ll make some rare objects available for cheaper price as holiday gifts? Like that fantasian cleaning mop i really craved for or that barn owl for my newly-buily wizard cottage.

    • thanks, I have added a few of these changes to the christmas update post
      They probably won’t make some of the timed items available to buy but you should have received a parcel at the mailbox of one of your houses with one of these in it!

  6. I’m not sure how I feel about them changing the crystal. I liked the old one, it was so shiny, not it seems kinda dull. I’m really excited about the new quest though. Happy simming for us! I love your blog and all your patience and dedication to it, it has been really helpful to me.

  8. will there be a santa quest this year? last year i bought the christmas tree as soon as it was available but got one free after the quest was complete. so i started a new game this year to get stuff i missed last time but dont want to waste lps . do they do the same hoilday quests?

  12. Hello! So I’ve completed the first set of tasks, but I haven’t unlocked teenagers yet. When I do get teens, will the clothes that I’ve unlocked for them still appear in the wardobe? Thanks!

  13. I’m actually SO excited to get new clothing for my sims. Honestly thank you so much for this blog it’s a god send for the game. Especially considering I’ve restarted it about a million times already! x

  16. I got the player designed home, and I have two toddlers so I replaced the two beds that came with it and put in two night sky beds, but the two beds that came with the home aren’t in my inventory. Are they gone forever?

  18. Is anyone else having trouble with how small the icons and text are now? It’s giving me a headache. Didn’t think I needed glasses until now. I can’t find any settings to increase it… I use an iPhone 6 Plus do my screen is relatively large.

    • This might be a technical problem with your game because I haven’t noticed the font has got smaller, you might need to contact EA to see if they can fix this for you

  20. I am having a problem with visiting neighbors ever since I updated for the Christmas Chill Quest. I have already contacted EA as well. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this issue? Or how to help? I restarted my device as well.
    P.S. I love your blog! I always check to make sure I’m doing quests right as well as get info to help when I’m stuck. Thanks so much for all you do! 🙂

    • no sorry I haven’t heard of any problems, is the game crashing when you try and visit a neighbour? If so you may need to restart your device as that may help, hopefully EA will be more helpful!

    • For example if you start the quest today and finish the first set of goals before midnight you will have to wait until midnight before the next set starts. If you start the quest today but don’t finish the first set of goals until tomorrow morning, you will go straight onto the next set.

  27. I don’t understand why your instructions say wait for the next part. Mine has immediately moved on to the next part after the previous part has finished. Zero waiting

    • Like it says in the post, you do not get this goal if you are behind, you only get this if you complete the set of goals before midnight, if you finish after midnight it just goes onto the next set.

  37. Do you only have 3 days to complete the whole thing, i started on time and have been using lps but im only up the the camera in the park and only have 20 hours left :s

  40. Hi, I don’t have any problem to play this game but after my recent update, my phone seems to have too much game data (1.12GB)
    And it also slow down the game.
    What do you think? Can I delete the Game Data for The Sims Free Play?

    I have a question: I have yet to complete the quest for teens so currently I have no teen sim, once I complete the Teenagers quest will I find the clothes for them from the Christmas quest in the wardrobe?

  43. I’ve completed the first winter quest. I’m wondering when and where I will find the portal to take me to winter wonderland ? Do I have to complete more quests ?

  44. I have recently completed the a christmas chill quest and am on level 36. I was just looking to add a ocean side residence and the Gingerbread House is listed. where the cost to build should be it says tap for details. So I did. It says the non-edible but delectable looking gingerbread house is avaliable once the Secret Winter Wonderland Quest has been complete. Does anyone know about the Secret Winter Wonderland Quest?

  49. I was a little annoyed with this challenge, when my game finally did update I only had less than ONE hour to complete a 3 day challenge!!! What gives?

  50. my Sims freeplay was just updated. When I opened it, I saw the A Christmas chill Quest it about to begin .After I’ve clicked the ” start” button , it was starting to countdown from 24 hour!. What happened to it? Where are the rest of the time?
