The Sims Freeplay- Impossible Events Aren’t Fun!

I was desperate to get the French Chateau and even though I played day and night I still was unable to complete it in the time limit 😦 I’ve noticed this has been a pattern for some time now; I couldn’t complete the Christmas event, I couldn’t complete the Ice Sculpture event, I couldn’t complete the Aerobics event but I have not changed how I play the game!

And I am not the only one who has noticed this. Holly on the French Romance Event:screenshot-2017-02-12-at-15-56-04

I need 184 social points to buy the requirements for one last pack to complete this event, do I have that many? Not a chance! Maybe if they didn’t up the price of the social point flower to 20LPs from 5 I would have used my LPs on that but that is no longer fair..

BUT I am happy you can now pause the ageing of your sims for free so you don’t end up losing all your sims during these events (I really hope this feature is sticking around!) Explained here

The Aerobics event is probably the worst one so far- that was completely impossible! (something to look forward to if you haven’t done this one yet!) You have 7 days to firstly reach level 6 in the hobby to be able to complete it AND also complete the collection 7 times in those 7 days?! I know most people had a similar experience to me with this one, I managed to complete it twice but only because I used a lucky spin to get the level 6 one I needed while my sim was still on level 5. It took 6 days to reach level 6 so I basically had one day to complete the collection 7 times! I’m not a big fan of hobby events as soon as you unlock a new hobby but at least on previous ones we only had to complete the collection once in the time as well as level up which was manageable.

I know it comes down to making money at the end of the day which they need to do but I think spending money should make it easier to complete, not make it possible! I can’t afford to spend a lot of money on this game- I am a poor student after all! £5 for Laura Craft?! I wish I had £5 to spend on lunch!

And yes I also know they bring these events back but the game stops being enjoyable when you fail every event- is there any point in trying when the odds are against you?

What do you all think?

  1. The last thing I need is the fountain but I don’t have enough money left. Can I get it another day instead I really want the house please!!!!

  2. I’m glad I’m not the only one having issues with these events. I wish in this case, either more candles were made, you could use any items to play the spin plant, or less constructor coins were required for items. It also stinks that you have to build all ite,s to get the chateau, many things I don’t want and waste constructor coins on them because we are forced to.

I’ve played this game for years and I have not had any issues in the past with events until recently and it’s sad the company makes them practically unattainable unless you want to shell out money which I refuse to do.

  3. My only other thing I want to say is – by making it still almost impossible – even after I started with almost 700 social points and spent real money – they are making me NOT want to spend money in the game. Because I might as well flush a couple 20’s down the toilet for all the good its going to do.

  4. I agree you have to play day and night and you never can complete the quest. I want them to bring back last valentines day quest the island I want the wedding venue and bungalow still. I don’t have money to spend on a game. I have to work hard for all my quest.

  5. EA are you reading about what players are writing?????

I agree with everyone else. I loved playing the game before so many changes were made, it’s not fun anymore.
I have taken so many surveys before and have always thought the game was fun and gave them high marks. I never had to spend money on the game unless I wanted to. But I have not picked it up for a while. I too am frustrated with many of the later events, they seem to take so much of the social points. I worked so hard in between events to gather as many social and life points that when the sims market events come along I don’t even play, them I don’t like them. The prizes are not worth even trying to get through one.
I have been at level 55 over a year now and all the XP that I get from completing tasks I don’t get any more because I am at the last level. I wish that I could use the XP towards life and social points or even the social point flower (also think that 20 LP is way too much). I don’t like the way the VIP perks are, some are perks are worth it but I am at VIP 8 I need about 85 points to get VIP 9 and I won’t spend on store items that are not to my liking. Sell things that are nice, the baby package was really pretty and there have been clothing packs as well as a furniture package that I liked and the prices were not that bad. I once spent $20.00 on a Social points (240) package and went through that in a half hour. Never would I do that again.
I hope EA will take what people who play the game to heart and go back to the old way. From my lips to EA Sims Freeplay EARS………….

weightlessmagic, I want to thank you for all of your hard work. I choose the events I want to play because of you and The Girl who Games website. Keep up the good work, Thanks for letting all of us vent our frustration about what is going on. I am not alone.

  6. Same here as everyone else. I’m finding the hobby events so stressful, it isn’t “fun” anymore. I don’t even want to try. The prize isn’t worth all the frustration and stress and then one still can’t complete it.

If it continues like this, I’ll probably stop playing altogether. Can’t stand it anymore!

  7. I worked around the clock on this event didn’t come close to getting the chateau. There was just no way for me to get anywhere near the amount of constructor coins needed when my spins were giving one and two coins each. This came after my failures at both the ice sculpture and aerobics events too.

I don’t take issue with a company prioritizing its bottom line but I won’t keep playing a game that requires large amounts of cash to complete every single event. There’s nothing enjoyable about that scenario. I play games to have fun and relax, not to feel stressed and know I’m being set up for failure and taken to the cleaners whenever something new comes along. I used to spend money on the game – a few bucks here, a few bucks there – but I stopped when I felt their push for revenue became ridiculous.

I think EA has lost its way balancing their customers’ enjoyment and loyalty against their profits. Either that or they’ve seriously miscalculated the likelihood of success with the parameters dictated in recent events. Either way, it’s unfortunate because it used to be a fun game.

    • Jen, you made a good point, that we play this game to reduce stress, not to increase it. Now that the Château marathon is over, I am enjoying not playing, except to send Sims to work, school or to sleep. That’s sad when a person enjoys NOT playing. 😐

  8. Hi I agree they want you to complete these events but they are ending them way to soon or really making them impossible to find ish it is unfair I hold a full time job also and u can’t play games at work. The need to either make the goals easier to reach or the cost lowered. I would hate for them to realize this after every player either leaves the game or does not even start the events at all. The market place events are even more disappointing I have yet to even complete one. I did manage the French event and Fi ished but I had to buy more social points with REAL money other wise there was no way to finish it on time. They need a way to get more of the contractor coins from the spin flowers this one at a time stuff is stupid.

    • Third line says find ish should have said finish not find ish. Brain moving faster than fingers and auto correct is faster then both.

  9. Could you please elaborate on the temporary pausing of aging? I guess I missed that.
As always, thank you for posting and helping us all deal with our frustrations. 🙂

  10. This game has become unhealthy for me. Loss of sleep and meals.. triggered my stress/anxiety/depression. Figured I can’t do anything right in real life atleast I could complete goals in the game but nooo… Very disappointed I lost out on French chateau as much time as I spent on it. I can never complete events in time regardless of how much time I spend on it.

  11. I hate the timed events ever since the island one. They aren’t fun and I genuinely look forward to when they’re done. I get the whole money thing but it’s not fair to people who’ve been playing for years. I didn’t get the house either and I’m pretty bummed

  12. I would love to see the statistics for this event when it finishes.

I figure it is their job to make the game frustrating enough for us to spend money but not so frustrating that we quit. I think they overdid it this time. Some will quit and others just won’t even try the quests. If it cost a reasonable amount I bet they’d get more. Better to get $5 from 100 people than to lose players.

I have the last 2 items to get before the house. I could get one item but I think I’ll just save the LPs for whatever comes next. I work part-time. I slept through the night without alarms. I even went out to a movie and dinner. I still feel as if my iPad was attached to my hand ALL THE TIME.

  13. I used to be happy when a new quest came about. Now I get frustrated and annoyed as I have 7 days and I completed all and collected all but one item to get the home all because I couldn’t collect enough to get the fountain. And wasted my time and money between having to work. I stayed in for the week just to get it done and for nothing. They make it not worth playing when you spend all your extra money on LP or other items needed to spin with hopes you’ll get a decent spin, only to receive next to nothing. I won’t spend anymore on this game…..so much for it being called freeplay.

  14. I completely agree with all of you. They are purposefully stacking the deck against us to strong arm us into spending money. To me, that’s no longer a fun game. For a long time I’ve considered either lessening my game play or stopping completely. I don’t like being taken advantage of.

  15. Honestly, I think this event was the final straw for me. I’m throwing in the towel and deleting the game. I have spent so much time on the past few events and have never been able to complete any of them. Not a single one. Even with setting alarms to make sure I come back as soon as a task is finishing. So even though I’ve played for years, and I’m sad it’s come to this, it’s just not worth it for me anymore. I fully understand the need to make money, but I don’t think it should be necessary for players to HAVE to spend real money in order to finish.

  16. I totally agree! I have had everyone of my sims working on it day and night and I’ve not ever completed any of the events. I’ve never been able to finish them on time and have had to spend money as well and still not finish the event. It’s discouraging and has me at the point where I don’t even want to play the game anymore. I love the game but how can we work or go to school and have fun playing the game if we have to spend 100% of our time on it and still fail that is not fun!!

  17. I only need one more prize to get the house template. I short out on the construction coin and need 88 sp to buy it and yet I only have half of it… ;(

      • Now Sims Freeplay is just being ludicrous. They just announce the Ice Sculpture Special Event for the same prize like the other day and the Chocolate Lover’s Carnival is still half ongoing. I didn’t finish the Christmas event with the ice furniture thing since I was abroad back then on holiday. Hope the event starts after the carnival event. How will the new players gonna catch up the game with this fast pace?

  18. I was able to complete the last two events, but it took a lot of game time. For the aerobics hobby I cooked to earn LPs, and then spent them when they all got to where it cost 1 or 2 LPs to finish the action.

For the French event, I work from home so I was able to use the shortest option, and then check them every 15 mins to get the most “bonus” resources I could. I would not have finished if I couldn’t have my iPad with me all day. I also didn’t spend any real $$ (I’m only VIP-3).

  19. I agree. Every single event they have had I have not been able to complete. I can’t remember how many LPs I had during the fashion Hunter hobby that I literately wasted them all trying to level up and i still didn’t reach level 6 so I didn’t even get the indoor skydiving. I almost don’t want to play the game anymore because as you said, it stops being enjoyable when every single event is practically impossible to achieve without spending actual cash (which I refuse to do). I got this game because it was free and getting packages during hobbies and events was manageable.

  20. Agreed. While I understand that they are just a company, there are better ways to make us spend. I am not sure if they are trying to bring back old events more often so that they could do less work developing new ones, or if they are simply trying to make people spend more on this game. Either way, I wish I knew about the poor odds of completing these events before beginning the monotonous and arduous non-stop clicking for days and nights.

A game should be made for fun, not hijack our lives. Nor should it make people spend by rendering them in a very anxious and desperate position.

This game is marketed as FREEplay. Even if they would like to reposition now, they should not sneak in designs that are more lucrative for them but less, or no, fun for players in this way. Besides, even for the people who spent real money, they were not always happy with what they bought apparently…

Anyway would like to say thank you for your wonderful blog. It really has been very helpful all along. 🙂

  21. I am sorry to say, I did buy Laura, but she didn’t add anything. Only that you could get a 6 hour thing in 8 hours. Also, I understand 5 is a lot for some people, but comparing it to a Lunch makes it indeed sound like you’re buying a Car. School is expensive as gold in some country’s.
Anyway here is my review, sort of. Yes, the Social Point’s are expensive, but that system is build upon having lots of neighbours and sending a Sim any part of the day to get those free SP. But even that part is broken, for it only working for Apple tab/phone players and not having a good version for Android users. ( I am not going to add Random strangers to my FB just to get more neighbours, thank you )
Than again, the game is 5 years old and that means the CEO people want more interest to the game. I meen it started as a Side project in the time of the 2 FB games ( That is how I originally started 1.0 of Sims Freeplay, Adds in the FB game )
The Events are indeed no fun for people lower than lvl 28-34 that don’t have more than 50% of the main quest done. ( And have an no time limit Main one current active )
Anyway, the Ice sculp I completed because I did the Christmas one of 2015 ( Re, started in October of that year and was indeed lucky I didnt have a Time limit Main Quest active ) The one this year… Well I think I got 2 – 3 of the area’s active, do have the Valentine of 2016, was more easy than indeed this one.
Also, SP quest sometime’s have an 2 hour XP quest in them, followed by an 4 hour one that does give SP. Whats up with that. I do like that SP quest longer than 10 hour give you 2 SP ( sometime ). but still that is waiting 1 hour so you dont have to spent 10 LP to skip the quest. ( also some are 12 hours and skipping them with 10 LP is better than waiting 3 hours )
To answer the Question: Why do SP plants now cost 20 LP. Thats the fault of the Community having Animal farms and that the Cooking hobby gives the Fastest LP gen.
Ps. I still like your Blog, its amazing to see a girl your age keeping this up while having to study and the effort you have put in it gave you Beta Access and Interviews. Keep going add it.

  22. Your not the only one I never get a chance to finished any of the challenges and I’m not buying life points just to do so. What to do???

  23. It’s so frustrating, and I’ve even spent money on LP and STILL can complete these events!! I hope they take notice of these complaints and fix this for future events.

    • They won’t take notice because people in the google play and apple store keep rating it 5 stars despite commenting that the quests are impossible. Star ratings are what matter for apps. I don’t know why people don’t rate lower stars when they are not happy so that EA will take note.

  24. I completely agree. I had actually deleted the game for almost a year for exactly this reason. The last Xmas event I played – the ice palace one – I told myself not to even expect to get the final prize: Just to be happy with the packs that I unlocked and turn my primary house into an ice palace. I downloaded the game again in time for the last four days of the valentines event and have used the same approach: hope to get as many decoration packages as possible and not even expect to come anywhere close to the French chateau. The problem is, I’ve noticed that this is a trend amongst free to play games. The Family Guy Quest for Stuff’s events have been getting progressively harder (I’ve just re-deleted that game out of disgust), and I even picked up The Simpsons one again, and I played it for all of three days before I lost patience with it. It seems as if game creators have noticed that the harder they make the events, the more people tend to buy, so they’ve been upping the difficulty progressively in the hopes of “growing” their business. If they even notice the complaints from the non-paying players (/customers), they ignore them because they don’t matter to them. The only way they might sit up and take notice is if they suddenly lose players en masse, or if their games ratings takes a sudden nosedive. The irony is, I always make a point to watch all the in-game ads to support the games in a way I can afford, but that just isn’t enough. If you want to make a difference start writing terrible reviews and giving them one star ratings, and get your friends (and commenters on your blog) to do the same. If we hit them in their pocket books, they might ease up on doing the same to us.

    • Exactly!! It amazes me when I look at the reviews how people state how unhappy they are with certain aspects of the game, yet they rate it 5 stars! If everyone rated it to match their comments, EA would take notice.

  25. I agree. I was really excited about getting the French Chateau. I played day and night. I’m really tired of working and working and not completing

  26. I’m losing completly the fun in this game. Just in the moment I saw the lovely château I thought “what will they invent this time to ruin it” and yes: impossible again 😒 That’s no fun anymore! Also the second floor mission from the supermarket is to less time, it’s also stupid! 12,5 hours to see I choose the wrong place for the plant. 12hours here, 19 hours there, 1 day again… NO FUN AT ALL!!! I understand that they want to earn money, but I really can’t understand they are so aggressive to get them! I would spend money, if it is for some extra like furniture, clothes or haircuts, but not for a part of the gameplay! And not that much as they ask!!! 43€ for winterclothes??? It’s more than I spend for myself – in real life! For 50€ I bought Sims 3 and I got a whole game without time limits… Who makes these prizes???

If I play again, I want to know:
What I have to do with the stations now? Sell them or keep them? You write that the event comes back, how does this work? It was my second event, both without success.

Thanks for your help and your fantastic blog! Good work!

    • I would just store the stations so you can use them when the event returns. There isn’t a set time when it comes back but when it does you will only have to collect the resources to purchase the prizes you have left, you won’t have to buy all the prizes again but you will start from zero resources as they don’t carry over from this time to the next.
      You’re welcome!

  27. I agree with everyone else on here. About not being able to have enough time to finish any of the things they offer. I have my Sims going 24/7. I just recently lost my whole game that I had been playing for 2yrs. I had over $457,000,000 dollars and 1465 LP and 945 purple points. When I updated my game it lost my whole game it was all gone…I was so mad. I had spent so much time and my own money to get extra stuff. I sent emails and got no answers. I love playing but it’s just not right.

  28. I’ve been playing since 2012, and I noticed that with all of these new quests and challenges things have gotten progressively harder and not in a challenging fun way. I shouldn’t have to set alarms to collect items and spend rediculous amounts of money just to complete a challenge on “free” game. This was just something that was supposed to be fun and now not so much. There’s too many quests and events that I can’t complete and then it feels like a giant waste of time when I don’t complete them.

  29. I wholeheartedly agree! The tasks over the past year have been impossible to complete. We shouldn’t have to wait for it to come around a second time to achieve the goal. I do play for fun, to relax, to detach from a stressful life but it’s extremely frustrating when playing all day and all night, without cheating or having to spend money to win the quest. It takes the fun OUT of the game!!! Why play knowing that you will not win. It’s disappointing. The game did not start out this way. I played more in the beginning than now due to impossible quests. I know the saying, “Can’t win them all” but not win at all just stings. EA, bring back the fun!!! Allow those who play your games to a chance to win!!!

  30. Honestly I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even really know why I play the game anymore.

I used to want to build homes, and unlocking new things was a driving force, but everything is so prohibitively expensive that it sucks all the fun out anyway. Second floors, basements, balconies, stairs, patios are all just too much.

I think I just convinced myself to stop playing..

  31. I absolutely agree! I am completely obsessed with this game. I have stayed the course even through 2 crashes where i have lost everything, losing all my lp’s to keep my sims alive, spending an inappropriate amount of money that I cannot afford to spin lp’s (only to repeatedly get 5 or 7) only to use them on hobbies and events that i never finish. I play every event or hobby night and day with the max of sims and i have yet to complete them. I have spent so much money that i am on vip level 11. I refuse to do so any longer. This game started as a therapy for me. Something i desperately needed. I’m not a gamer, I’m not savvy…but i am poor and i can’t spend more money and because of the way this game is unfortunately seeming rigged i don’t know how much longer i will have my therapy. Makes me sad. I love the game but not the greed.

  32. Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one! I thought I just wasn’t trying hard enough. It’s very encouraging to find out that I’m not the only one.

  33. This game is great fun over all but its perhaps the greediest game financially I have ever played. One thing about spending money is that you should actually be able to get something with it – its ridiculous that you could spend say £20 on SP’s to try to get through it and still not – hence the spend was a total and utter waste of money. Timed events that mean that your whole life is disrupted to try to gain something means that a lot of time is spent not actually having fun on the game at all – rarely can you just spend the day playing with the sims and houses without worrying about trying to gain something… they really should take their foot off the pedal once in a while and make getting something like the chateau actually possible. I, like you played 24/7 and still needed 314 SP’s to get the chateau – so that’s gone now having spent all that time and energy trying. So I’ve used up all my hard earned SPs and LPs for nothing. Very unfair. I currently have some chocolate event pending which I’m not even going to open I am so despondent.

  34. Hello weightlessmagic!

I’m actually glad you devoted a post to sharing your frustrations about the enormously difficult quests EA has put together like the recent French Romance one. Some of the quests I love more than others, and I do experience disappointment when I cannot get most of the prizes, let alone all of them. The tropical island one that happened last year was so fun, but I did not get to unlock 2 of the island locations without the resources to spend that they needed.

So, I just wanted to say thanks, thanks for being real, showing clips of other player’s comments too, and most of all for continuing this blog! It’s nice to be connected, even if it’s over Sims.

    Rachel

  35. I agree also they don’t give you enough time to complete the events. I thought i was the only one also. I was doing the things every couple hours and had multiple desks and still unable to complete it. And why does it have to be so expensive for everything

  36. I Agree with you! I bought the stupid Laura( or whatever ger name is) and i still didnt make it. I feel at this point they have made the game all about the money and Its just not fun anymore. The only reason i havent deleted the app is because i already spend some money on it and i hate to admit it was a waste. They should just charge upfront for the game and stop doing these stupid events that are impossible. Even as i keep advancing in the movie studio, its impossible to do the whole shift in the eight hours, and one day i even put up alarms so i would not miss any time. I havent finish one of thse stupid events yet and im tired of making an effort.

  37. I totally agree with your statements….Imoossible limits on special events are no fun. I have not been able to complete many of the events. I really would have loved the Chateau, but like you, I’m a poor person….retired homemaker with no real income to speak of. I was down to only needing 55 SP for the Painting, and would have to pay to finish the last one. What bothers me is the spin flower never (or al least rarely) gives out the maximum (3 Crickets, etc) I don’t think I ever saw 10 crickets the whole event….and usually never more than 2 at one time. I wasn’t able to finish the Romantic Island, or the Fairy Island wither…and didn’t even try to finish the Aerobics as I knew it would be impossible for me to finish.
I have tried so hard on the Ice Sculpture and French Chateau. Quests but to no avail. Yes it’s a free game, but Ihave put some mone to get to where I am in the game. If the limits weren’t impossible to reach and were within reason, I would spend a little more….but that’s not the case, is it? I have had the maximum number of sims working on these events 24/7 for the events and STILL haven’t completed them.
It’s frustrating to see all the “New” Items and know there is no way you’ll be able to get them.

  38. I too feel the exact same way. They’re making it simply impossible unless you pay money to help with social points etc. and I think that is their intention. If so, I’m quickly losing interest in my most favorite game. It saddens me because I’ve played and invested in this game for YEARS!! I hope they change this. 😔

  39. Hi I totally agree. I didn’t complete the last couple of events I work full time and only had the evenings. This one I was determined to and followed all the tips but in order to succeed I had to use real money far too much for a game I’m embarrassed to say. So agree EA have made it impossible unless you use real money which isn’t fair. I won’t be spending any more money on game as it is only validating their tactic and spoiling the fun for players me included this was suppose to be fun downtime for me not turn me into a broke wreak!!!

  40. I was saying the same thing to my sister we play this game too & since she doesn’t have a job she does my events and hers and still we don’t get it all the time. However this time I really wanted that french chateau so i used my human money to buy some extra SP points. Which I hate because i feel like this is a game, i’m not suppose to use real money and you’re right this has be happening in all the recent events and it sucks. You work your butt off and you half the stuff or none at all like sims is definitely NOT what it used to be and I really don’t like it.

  41. If they hadn’t upped the social points flower to twenty LP this one would have been manageable. From what I’ve seen most people could get all the other items but the arbitrary spin flowers were what killed everyone. They set those costs ridiculously high with no real means of collecting near that many.

  42. Thank you for writing about this! I found this event absolutely exhausting and no fun at all. I thought the Chateau would be a lovely addition to my town, but despite having a healthy lp and sp balance at starting the event and working around the clock to earn more, plus doing the shortest time tasks to earn more resources for each hour spent I was still short at the end. This wasn’t helped by the fact that the game kept glitching and resetting, which lost me all the resources I had gathered during a collection period no less than 7 times. I tried the fixes suggested on ea’s facebook and twitter page but they did not work and it continued to glitch.

I did manage to get the chateau eventually because I only had 57 sps to make to get it within the 3 days grace. When I say easy it wasn’t really, as others have pointed out the 20 lp cost of a sp spin which often only gives 3sps is ridiculous. I most definitely won’t be doing any more of these events, none of them, the work related ones, this type or more traditional ‘quests’ if they bring them back. I just can’t handle the stress, and am not prepared to constantly pay out quite large sums of real life money for a ‘free’ game, which ends up being more expensive than the better bought version (sims 4 or whatever).

I’ll continue to play, but ignore any money grabbing options that keep coming up. If they make the game even less enjoyable (like the horrific gift of death they gave us with the age quest thing) I’ll probably sadly walk away from something I’ve enjoyed for a number of years.

  43. What good is a simulation of the world if your sims don’t die? If they don’t die how can you have ghosts? My solution is just just don’t get so attached to any one sim.

    • I gave up getting attached to my sims long ago, if I have no intention of pausing them I don’t even bother renaming or customising them as there is no point but the problem with all these events was your sims were constantly working on the events and ageing and not being able to complete their life dreams so I was just saying its good that they now allow you to reverse them to the beginning of their life stage for free so they can complete their life dreams once these events are finally over!

    • Good point (about the game not simulating life unless your Sims die), but I work full-time and can’t devote as much time to sustaining my Sims as I would if I had unlimited time. I didn’t want my Sims to die, and haven’t figured out the whole orb thing yet, so I never completed the Life Dreams and Legacy part. Just my preference, but I don’t necessarily want a perfect simulation of real life, in my game. I play to escape real life, so I want my Sims to live virtuallu forever. If I want to stop playing for a few weeks or months, then pick it back up someday, my Sims may still be there. Hungry and tired. But not dead. 🙂

      • I agree with you, I think an accurate simulation of real life would be fairly boring for a game! But don’t worry if you did complete the life dreams quest and don’t play for a while they won’t die as they only age based on the time an action takes so completing longer actions will age them quicker than shorter actions but not playing won’t cause them to age 🙂

  44. I think you are absolutely correct in what you are saying. I am especially frustrated because my phone crashed and I had to start over from the beginning. Different game, seems like. The clothes that were free then are no longer free, etc. And, I still have not figured out how to add the different departments to the police station, the hospital or the movie studio without spending cash. Ready to stop playing for good.

    • Is it telling you you need VIP 7 to upgrade or build a workstation? Just wait for the previous workstation to finish upgrading or building and then you can build or upgrade the next one 🙂

  45. I play on my Kindle, I don’t have space on my phone and I don’t have neighbors who play so I always have few SPs, I think Another Sim Town should have more, so social quests can be completed.

I was short too many coins for this event. I got all the resources, but was never able to get 125 coins on a spin. I agree that it’s frustrating and not fun now.

  46. I too feel like I wasted a lot of time and still didn’t finish. It does seem like they are deliberately making it difficult to encourage us to spend real money. I won’t. Besides, they get most of their revenue from the ads. That’s why it’s supposed to be free.
