Once you have completed the Multi Story Renovations Quest and DIY Homes: Peaceful Patios Quest you will be able to find Bree again in the park to begin this quest (you will find her 24 hours after you have completed both of those quests) If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the planters and decorative privacy screens, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock balconies but you won’t get the planters or screens

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating the item has

Say hello to Bree- 2 minutes (at the park)
Ask Bree what’s up- 5 minutes
Watch a DIY homes marathon- 15 hours (on TV)
Research competitors on a computer- 10 hours
Go to the DIY home (call the cab on a phone)
Brainstorm with Bree- 5 hours 30 minutes
Have 2 sims at the DIY home
Explain role to another sim- 35 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Examine the cameras- 13 hours 30 minutes (select option on one camera at the DIY home)
Have 2 sims rehearse flirting- 10 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Make out on a couch- 16 minutes (using the make out couch in the basement at the DIY home (if won in patio quest you can do this at home) one sim selects wait for partner, the other sim selects make out for 16 minutes
Have 2 sims waltz together- 21 hours 30 minutes (select option on stereo with two sims)

Court another sim- 6 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

Kiss another sim- 1 minute (select interaction between two sims)

Hide behind a bed- 12 minutes (select option on bed)

Chat with grim- 45 minutes (click on the grim reaper)
Read the original play- 1 day (DIY home bookshelf) 19 hours if done on a 3 star bookshelf

Offer grim a new role- 5 minutes (click on the grim reaper)
Act out the scene with the grim- 12 hours 30 minutes (click on the grim reaper)
Reshoot kissing scene- 5 minutes (select kiss on another sim)
Comfort grim- 10 hours 30 minutes (click on the grim reaper)
Email scenes to the network- 36 minutes
Build a balcony at home (on a two story house)

To build a balcony, touch and drag anywhere within the highlighted areas

Like building a room, green means you can build, red means that there is something in the way, you can also resize a balcony by dragging the white highlighted edges.
And like building a pool you can join balconies together

Wrap things up with Bree- 9 hours 30 minutes

Have all sims leave the DIY home

How do I start this discovery quest?
Once you have completed the multi story renovations quest and the patio quest you need to wait 24 hours then you can find Bree (the woman in the hard hat) in the park to start this quest

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

How do I call a cab to the DIY house?
Using a phone

The goal court another sim is stuck, what can I do?
You may need to use an LP to speed up this goal

I selected listen on Grim rather than chat now I can’t cancel this, help!
Force closing the app and leaving it a while before checking back in usually fixes this issue

How much does it cost to build a balcony?
The cheapest is S6000 for 2×1

I had all sims leave the DIY home but it didn’t complete the goal, why?
Try and have all your sims not doing any action, this sometimes makes the game recognise you have completed that goal

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Planters and decorative privacy screens

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the ability to build balconies before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it

Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep these posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

I have finished this quest but I can’t start the basement quest yet, why?
You need to wait 24 hours after completing this quest before you can start the basement quest

CASTLE – JESTER’S CHEST – ADULT SIMS ONLY – PRIZE: THRONE ROOM AND 3LP

Once you complete the Archery hobby and unlock the gallery one of your adult sims can complete the jester hobby.

To complete the jester hobby you need to click on the jester’s chest in the castle gallery (that you unlocked in the archery hobby) and select the option:

Dance- 4 hours 30 minutes

When you start you will only have this first option, you need to find all 3 different dance moves to complete the first row in the jester collection to unlock the mime option on the chest, you then need to find the 3 mimes to unlock the tambourine option and find the 3 tambourine moves to unlock the final option which is flags to find the last three to complete the collection

Dance- 4 hours 30 minutes (first row)
Mime- 3 hours 30 minutes (second row)
Tambourine- 4 hours 30 minutes (third row)
Flags- 5 hours 30 minutes (last row)

Once you complete the collection for the first time you can pick an option on the chest in any order but you will still need to do each option to find the different moves to complete each row

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the jester collectibles in that row. You still level up in this hobby but the hobby level up percentage isn’t important as the jester collectibles don’t unlock depending on your level, when you finish a row of jester collectibles you will unlock the ability to find the jester moves in the next row.

The table below shows you the level up reward that your sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?

The completed jester collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

The first time you complete a row you will unlock a new option to find the next row of jester moves, further times you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

The rewards for completing this collection are the throne room and 3LP:

The first time you complete the jester collection you unlock the throne room which costs S300,000 and takes a day to build, this unlocks the upstairs of the castle, once built you unlock royalty clothes and the ability to issue decrees on the royal throne on the second floor of the castle ( read my castle post for more information)

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 3LP

This quest unlocks patios to begin you need to find the woman wearing the hard hat in the park called Bree. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the make out couch, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to add patios but you won’t get the couch

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating the item has

Talk to Bree- 1 minute (woman in hard hat)
Ponder in a chair- 2 minutes 24 seconds
Call a friend- 4 minutes
Call a cab to the DIY home (select option on a phone)

Question Bree- 3 hours 30 minutes

Join Bree for an interview- 18 hours 30 minutes
Watch the interview at the DIY home- 4 minutes 30 seconds (TV)

Read the DIY magazine at the DIY home- 7 hours 30 minutes

Have 2 sims at the DIY home
Discuss patios with a sim- 10 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

Present ideas to Bree- 45 minutes

Measure patio space- 18 hours 30 minutes (go to a sims home and click on the x near the mailbox)

Finalise the patio plan- 6 hours 30 minutes (talk to Bree)

Source materials (phone)- 10 hours
Prepare lemonade at the DIY home- 3 hours 10 minutes (fridge)

Clean the DIY home- 1 day (cupboard)

Buy outdoor decorations (spend S5,000- you can buy items such as fire pit, bamboo lamps or garden screens that cost in total at least S5,000)
Fall asleep in a bath- 2 hours 20 minutes (can be started early)
Hang out with a sim- 1 day (select interaction with another sim)

Call Bree- 4 minutes (phone)
Build a patio (go to the home store and open the patio tab): To build a patio surface, touch and drag on the grass
like building a room, green means you can build, red means that there is something in the way, you can also resize a patio by dragging the white highlighted edges.
And like building a pool you can join patios together.

Have 3 sims at DIY home
Have 3 sims party with Bree- 8 hours 30 minutes (outdoor stereo)

Talk to Bree- 5 minutes
Have all sims leave DIY home (use the simtracker to send them home)

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

STARTING THE LOVEY DOVEY BALCONY QUEST: you need to have completed the multi story renovations quest then you will find Bree at the park 24 hours after you complete the patio quest!

Prize: Make Out Couch

Cost? First one is free after that they cost S7,500 each

Where can it be found? It can be found in the living room section, teens can snuggle (one sim chills out- 8 minutes and the other selects snuggle- 16 minutes) adults can make out (one sim waits for make out partner- 8 minutes and the other selects make out- 16 minutes)

Is it worth it? It’s nice that teens can now cuddle together but it’s a strange prize for this quest! It’s different but I wouldn’t worry too much if you don’t complete in the time limit

Even if you don’t complete the quest in the time limit you will still unlock these patio tables and chairs:

All of these items can be found in the outdoor furniture section and the chairs can also be found in the dining room section

The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

I can’t complete the goal to buy outdoor decorations, why?
You need to buy from the outdoor decorations section only

How much does it cost to build a patio?
The cheapest is S3,000 for 2×1

The Sims Freeplay- The Castle

This post shows you what the castle looks like on the inside and how to issue decrees.

Before you can see inside the castle you need to:

Build it
Then complete the Royal Lineage Quest
Once you have completed that quest you need to complete the archery hobby to unlock the royal gallery.

Then you complete the jester hobby to unlock the throne room

Castle Gardens– complete the archery using the targets

Build the statues by completing the archery hobby to unlock the royal gallery

The gallery costs S200,000

The Royal Gallery– complete the jester hobby using the chest

Throne Room– complete the jester hobby to build the throne room

The throne room costs S300,000 and takes a day to build

Once built you can access the top floor of the castle:

And new royalty clothes become available in the wardrobe

Issuing Decrees

Teens and Adults can issue decrees, to do this they first have to be wearing a royal outfit (one that you unlock when you build the throne room)

Then click on the throne to issue decrees or rule (they will just sit on the throne for 4 hours)

Decrees

They sit and issue the decree for 4 hours, once issued it will come into effect for 24 hours (if you have a decree that isn’t mentioned please let me know so I can add it to the list)

Some are useful like making new friends faster and some are just for fun like snow day!

Snow Day- snows for 24 hours
Friendship Day- sims will make new friends faster for 24 hours
Walk Like Zombies- sims walk like zombies for 24 hours
Rainy Day- rains for 24 hours
National Hat Day- all sims wear hats for 24 hours (you don’t have to put a hat on each sim, it happens automatically)
Lover’s Day- sims will fall in love faster than normal for 24 hours
Friendship Day

You cannot cancel a decree, if you want to start a new one while another one is still in progress you will have to speed up with LPs

ROYAL LINEAGE QUEST – ARCHERY TARGET – TEEN AND ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: CASTLE ACCESS, JESTER HOBBY AND 5LP

Adult and Teen sims will be able to complete the archery hobby using the targets in the castle grounds once you complete the Royal Lineage Quest.

There are 2 targets so two sims can complete this hobby at one time, once you have completed the quest click on one of the targets and select:

Practice Archery- 7 hours 30 minutes

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the archery shot collectibles. Every time your sim practices archery your sims hobby skill level up percentage will increase, once you reach 100% you will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the archery shot collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.

The table below shows the level up percentage:

For example you would have to practice archery 4 times to reach level 5 from level 4

The next table shows you for each level what archery shot collectibles you unlock (so you can then find those ones too) and also the level up reward that a second and future sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

NOTE: only the first sim completing this hobby needs to get to level 6 to unlock all the collectibles, future sims will be able to find any collectible even if they are only on level 1 in this hobby!

The completed archery collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

The first time you complete a row you will unlock one of the statues in the garden, you need to complete the collection and build all 4 statues to be able to open the Castle, to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles. After the first time you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the collection.

The Statues:

First row unlocks the Archers statue which costs S35,000 and takes 4 hours to build
Second row unlocks the Jesters statue which costs S50,000 and takes 6 hours to build
Third row unlocks the statue of the Prince which costs S75,000 and takes 8 hours to build
Fourth row unlocks the statue of the Princess which costs S125,000 and takes 10 hours to build

Once you have built all the statues you will unlock the gallery which costs S200,000, once built you will be able to enter the castle and begin the Jester Hobby
From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 5LP
