The Sims Mobile- Izzy’s Fashion Shop

This post is going to explain all about Izzy’s Fashion Shop. You will find Izzy’s Fashion Shop in Parkside, click on it to start creating items:

It costs 20 fashion gems to create a new design:

Click create and Izzy will come up with something at random, the design will consist of a piece of clothing in a certain colour, a special effect and a trait.

We can see below Izzy created the Flirty Long Sleeve of Fortune which is a long sleeve top in coral with the heart effect and the lucky trait so a sim wearing this will have a bonus lucky trait:

Click claim if you want to keep the piece, if not you can click retry design and Izzy will create a new piece but this will cost 16 fashion gems.

Earning Fashion Gems– UPDATE: The daily to do list is no longer in the game so the only way you can earn stickers now is to attend parties and be seen by other players to receive stickers from them, the more stickers you receive from other players the more fashion gems you will earn at the end of the weekly sticker contest, read my guide to stickers post for more information

Pin Items– If you like one of the items but not the rest you can pin it and then retry the design keeping that item, it will cost 21 fashion gems to retry once you pin one item instead of 16. If you want to pin two items it will cost you 35 gems

You can find Izzy’s items in the style section under Izzy’s Special Creations.

A sim can only wear one of Izzy’s creations at a time and only one sim can wear that item at a time.

Items are gender based so only females can wear the female items and males the male items:

The Sims Mobile- Hot Tub Dreams Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

A time limited event has started in The Sims Mobile! The aim of this event is to earn enough ducky bucks to buy the hot tub goody bag to unlock all the hot tub items in the 7 day time limit!

How do you earn ducky bucks?

  • Complete the Hot Tub Dreams Quest, there are 9 parts to complete:

1.Dream of hot tubs- 5 seconds (select the blue option on a bed)

2.Watch the Home Hot Tubbing Channel- 5 seconds (select the blue option on a TV)

3.Complete the Haute Tub Couture Fashion Event- go to the fashion studio and click on the duck symbol and select start event (your sim doesn’t have to work at the fashion studio to do this) You can complete this event every 6 hours

4.Buy and equip the Dreamy Swimsuit- click change appearance, click on style and then on the outfits sections and buy the swimsuit

5.Check out your dreamy new swimsuit- 5 seconds (select blue option on a mirror)

6.Show off your swimsuit to friends- 5 seconds (select blue interaction between two sims who are friends)

7.Complete the Spa-Side Snacks Culinary event- go to the restaurant and click on the duck symbol and select start event (your sim doesn’t have to work at the restaurant to do this) You can complete this event every 6 hours

8.Earn a tub-load of Ducky Bucks- earn 50 ducky bucks by completing the spa-side snacks event and haute tub couture fashion event and by completing your daily to do list

9.Plan future hot tub parties with friends- 5 seconds (you need to do this 3 times)

  • Complete the Spa-Side Snacks Event- can complete every 6 hours
  • Complete the Haute Tub Couture Fashion Event- can complete every 6 hours
  • Complete your daily to do list each day to earn 10 ducky bucks

Buying Hot Tub Goody Bags

You can either buy a goody bag for 50 ducky bucks or 150 simcash. You will get an item at random each time,  you can get some of them more than once, for example you could win up to two hot tubs and up to 10 chairs:

Each item pictured has a ribbon next to it which shows you the rarity of that item, this shows you how likely it is you will earn that item so the main prize, the hot tub unsurprisingly is rare:

Once you have unlocked an item there will be a tick on that item, the aim is to unlock all the items before the time limit is up!

What can you do in the hot tub? Your sims can use it on their own or with other sims. Some of the other options require you to have items from this event placed before you can do them:

If you don’t managed to win the hot tub you won’t be able to buy it once the event is over

What did you think about this event?

I managed to get the hot tub but only after I had all but given up, I saw a few people post that they had just got a hot tub so I decided to give it one last go and I actually won it! Before that I got the same thing 3 times, a swimsuit so the second and third time it was converted to the smallest amount of ducky bucks ever!

Even using simcash didn’t help, I think if we use simcash on events like these we should be at least guaranteed an item that isn’t a repeat, I just really hope they change these events to make them fairer in the future!

The Sims Freeplay- Adding Mezzanine Floors (Indoor Balconies!)

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys

Once you complete the DIY Homes: All Mezzed Up Discovery Quest you will be able to add mezzanine floors to your houses! Mezzanine floors are partly open floors or indoor balconies, this post will walk you through how to add, resize and delete them.

1.Firstly you need to have rooms in your house to be able to add a mezzanine to, you need to have a room below the room which you want to build a mezzanine. I added a basement, a room on the ground floor and a room on the second floor:

2.Go to the house section and find the mezzanine tab:

3.Click on it, the tab says:

To build a mezzanine, touch and drag anywhere WITHIN a room. Ensure there is a room BELOW the room which you want to build the mezzanine. Green means the mezzanine can be built white red means it can’t.

4.Drag in a room to place the mezzanine

Click the green tick to place it there, click the red cross if you want to try again:

5.I built two mezzanines, one on my ground floor and one on my second floor, to build one on the ground floor you need to have a basement (click here for my adding basements guide!)

NOTE: There must be a room below where you want to place the mezzanine but you cannot place one between rooms

The white dotted line shows you where the rooms are located below, you cannot place a mezzanine over these lines:

You can only place up to these lines:

What is the cheapest mezzanine? A 2×1 mezzanine will cost S4,800

Adding Railings to a Mezzanine

Once you have built the mezzanine you can change the railings by going to the railings section and clicking on the mezzanine you want to change:

Resizing a Mezzanine

If you want to resize the mezzanine, go to the mezzanine tab and drag the white arrows on your existing mezzanine, click the green tick to accept the changes or the cross to go back to your original mezzanine.

Deleting a Mezzanine

Go back to the mezzanine tab and click on the one you want to delete, click the red simoleon button to sell that mezzanine:
