LEVEL UNLOCKS: 15 UNLOCKS: penthouse apartments TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: celeb fashion outfits

Once you have completed the Simtown Express Quest you will be able to find the director in the park to begin this quest to unlock penthouse apartments in the downtown area. If you complete this quest in the time limit you unlock the celebrity fashion outfits for your female adult sims, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the apartments but you won’t get the outfits

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has 

  • Send a sim to the park
  • Ask Miss Director what’s wrong- 30 seconds

  • Offer to help Miss Director- 12 seconds

  • Demonstrate touring ability- 1 minute 36 seconds (thinking man statue)

  • Watch simtown stars- 5 hours

  • Answer call from director- 48 seconds

  • Send 3 sims to the park
  • Request an autograph- 2 minutes

  • Offer Prim a tour- 7 hours 45 minutes

  • Present the thinking man- 1 minute 36 seconds

  • Tell a story of the park (I don’t think it matters which option you select so I went for the one with the shortest time!)- 10 hours 5 minutes

  • Send a sim home

  • Boast about a visitor (click on Prim, again I don’t think it matters which option you select so I went for the one with the shortest time!)- 13 hours 45 minutes

  • Celebrate simtown diversity- get 5 sims in one house
  • Take a selfie with prim- 2 minutes

  • Gossip with Prim- 1 hour 35 minutes

  • Place a decoration (buy from decoration section)

  • Confess plan for fame- 11 hours 45 minutes

  • Ask where to start- 2 minutes

  • Clean strange slime from fridge- 17 hours 30 minutes

  • Query random acts of kindness- 1 hour 35 minutes (click on Prim)

  • Order donuts- 8 hours (phone)

 

  • Give donuts to a stranger- sim needs to NOT be a friend or romance with that sim- 2 hours 25 minutes

  • Talk to Prim- 19 hours 45 minutes

  • Hug Prim- 4 hours 45 minutes

  • Say farewell to Prim- 1 day 2 hours 45 minutes

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

How much does it cost to build a penthouse apartment? The cost varies depending on how many other houses you have already built

 

You also unlock new penthouse related items:

  • Flat roofing (roofing section)

Is it worth it? I don’t really like these outfits so I am not bothered about completing this in the time limit but you might really like them!

How do I start this discovery quest?
Once you have completed the simtown express quest you can find the director in the park to start this quest

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker

Does it matter what option I choose for ‘tell a story of the park’?
No but I went for the one with the shortest time!

Does it matter what option I choose for ‘boast about a visitor’?
No but again I went for the one with the shortest time!

What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

Help! I can’t give the donuts to a sim, why?
You need to find two sims who are strangers to be able to give them the donuts, they can’t have interacted before

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
You unlock celebrity fashion outfits

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the penthouse apartments before you can move onto the next quest

What do the penthouse apartments look like?

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 13 UNLOCKS: super villain toddler outfits TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: outdoor cinema and bean bags

Once you have completed the Super Toddler Secret Mission Quest you will be able to find the super villain toddler in the park to start this quest with a toddler sim. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the outdoor cinema and bean bags. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the super villain toddler outfits but you won’t unlock the outdoor cinema or bean bags

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Note: you need a toddler to complete this quest

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has 

  • Use a telescope (you can buy a telescope in the promotions r us store)- observe strange lights- 2 minutes

  • Splish splash in a bath- 4 minutes (you need a toddler and an adult to complete this task)
  • Have a toddler pretend to sleep- 9 hours 30 minutes (bed)

  • Send a toddler to the park
  • Boldly approach the hero- 2 minutes

  • Hide behind a bench- 4 minutes 30 seconds

  • Apologise to Mini Masterforce- 10 minutes

  • Accept mission- 10 hours 45 minutes

  • Tame the ducks of doom- 12 minutes (ducks in park)

  • Practice evil laugh- 14 hours 45 minutes

  • Ask about mission- 5 minutes

  • Sneak back home (use the house with the arrow button on the simtracker to send your toddler home)

  • Consult teddy bear- 9 hours 30 minutes (using tea set from the toddler section of the home store)

Once you complete this quest you will find the super villain costumes in the wardrobe under outfits for your toddler sims to wear:

Prize: Outdoor Cinema and Bean Bags

Where can I find them? Bean bags can be found in the living room and preteen section and the outdoor cinema can be found in the outdoor decorations section

Cost? First one of each is free, after that the bean bags cost S750 each and the outdoor cinema costs S30,000 each

Is it worth it? Definitely! Who doesn’t want a TV for your sims to watch in the garden?!

The Sims Freeplay- The Grooving Guru Quest

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 9 UNLOCKS: health hub and aerobics hobby TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: activewear

Once you have built the Health Hub this discovery quest will begin, you can find the health hub next to the pet salon in simtown. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock activewear for your adult sims, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the aerobics hobby but you won’t get the activewear

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest


HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has 

  • Visit Health Hub

  • Research Gym Etiquette- 5 minutes (computer)

  • Train on the cross trainer- 15 minutes

  • Clean up the kitchen- you need to clean up 3 things:

  1. Broken tiles- 5 hours 45 minutes
  2. Trash- 5 hours 15 minutes
  3. Leaky Roof- 10 hours 25 minutes

TIP: have two sims at the health hub so you can clean up the trash and tiles at the same time, you can’t fix the roof until the trash is out of the way!

  • Refresh with a drink- 5 minutes (fridge)

  • Watch ‘Barry’s fitness bonanza’- 1 hour 12 minutes

  • Kick over a trashcan- 2 seconds (if the trashcan has already been knocked over, clean it up and then you will get this option)

  • Investigate the music (go to the park)
  • Meet the dancing man- 5 minutes

  • Dance with Skippy- 2 hours 30 minutes

  • Tell Skippy the time- 6 hours 15 minutes

  • Snore in bed- 9 hours

  • Revisit the health hub
  • Set up new machine- you need to unpack two boxes- 19 hours 45 minutes each (get two sims to unpack these at the same time)

  • Use the rowing machine- 15 minutes

  • Flex for a neighbour- 5 minutes (select the interaction between two sims)

  • Call Skippy on the phone- 6 hours

  • Send dance party invitations- 5 minutes

  • Have a dance party- 8 hours 30 minutes (it doesn’t actually say how many sims you need for this but its not a party with one person so I had two sims doing this, one selected dance party and the other join in)

  • Ask Skippy for advice- 5 minutes

  • Comfort Skippy- 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Agree to help Skippy- 13 hours 15 minutes

  • Return to the health hub
  • Help set up the aerobics space- you need to clean up 3 things:

  1. Leaky roof- 10 hours 25 minutes
  2. 2 Packing boxes- 19 hours 45 minutes each

TIP: have 3 sims completing this task at the same time!

  • Say farewell to Skippy- 5 minutes

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

Once you complete this quest the Aerobics Hobby Event will begin, there is a time limit of 7 days and each time you complete the hobby collection you will earn another activewear outfit for your male and female adult sims- there are 7 packs to earn. I’m not sure why there is a time limited hobby event as soon as we unlock the new Aerobics hobby- usually when we unlock a new hobby we just have to complete it once in a time limit to earn an extra prize so this is very difficult!

You can also now clean up the bathroom/changing room at the Health Hub:

  • Leaky Roof- 10 hours 25 minutes
  • Trash- 5 hours 5 minutes x2
  • Trash- 5 hours 15 minutes

Prize: Activewear

Where can I find it? In the wardrobe, under outfits for a male and female adult sims

Cost? Free

Is it worth it? I always love new clothes but if you don’t manage to complete in the time limit don’t worry as you can earn more activewear in the aerobics hobby event!

This quest unlocks the aerobics hobby event, does the time limit start straight away once I have completed this quest?
Yes, the time limit for the hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down

The Sims Freeplay- The Prince and The Pocket-Sized Princess Community Event

THE EVENT IS NOW OVER

The Christmas update this year is very different because instead of a normal quest we have another community event!

This event is available for 16 days (make sure you have the latest version of the game!) and the aim is to collect enough flowers from the new giant flower blooms (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event!

For the community part of this event, these are the flowers everyone collects- you do not need neighbours this is everyone who plays the games progress! The progress we all make is added together and we unlock new chapters and items when we have collected so much (the furniture we will unlock can be seen in my early access post)

 

Place a flower bloom (find in the events tab of buy mode- you can only buy 4)

Collect some flowers (click on the giant daisies to collect)- 10 seconds

This takes you to the personal progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the fairy event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have unlocked the rainforest ticket!

Buy the magical rainforest ticket (go back into the personal progress tab and click purchase)

Visit the magical rainforest (go to the sea voyage boat in sim town)

NOTE: you will see two destinations on the boat, if the Tropical Romance Island is locked then you will have to wait for them to bring that community event back again before you can go there but you can still access the Magical Rainforest for this event!

 

Use the event spin flower (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the community progress (click on the fairy event button and find the community tab)

Check the daily goals (click on the fairy event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards to earn constructor coins!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see a flower appear above that sims head, click to collect bonus flowers!)

Continue collecting flowers- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting flowers to unlock everything before the time is up!

If you want to speed up a collect flowers action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus flowers as well if you speed it up!

1st- Free

  • Collect 315 Daisies- 3 hours 30 minutes

Click the fairy button in the top corner of your game to see your progress

Daily Goals

Check on the first tab every day because if you complete all the daily goals you will get additional rewards

NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coin and free daisies each day!

How do I claim or buy a prize to complete a daily goal?

You need to buy one of the personal progress items that you have unlocked (once you have all the flowers and constructor coins needed for it you can click purchase) or on a community prize you click claim to complete this

TIP: if you have already claimed or brought a prize that day maybe wait until the next just incase you don’t have enough flowers or coins to buy or there isn’t one to claim the next day, this way you will still be able to complete all the goals and earn your bonus constructor coins!

I can’t believe the last constructor coin reward is only 10!

If you manage to build everything you will unlock the Magical Wings area at the rainforest (This is free! I didn’t manage to build everything as I couldn’t get enough constructor coins and I’m not wasting all my social points on it!)

ONCE THE EVENT IS OVER YOU CAN STILL ACCESS THE MAGICAL RAINFOREST EVEN IF YOU DO NOT UNLOCK OR BUILD ALL THE AREAS

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously I have used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 Daisies for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare Daisies) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amount you earn is less than from the Mega Spin Plant

Community Progress

The community progress is the combined progress of all players flowers collected to unlock new chapters which unlock new items for all of us!

NOTE: You DO NOT need neighbours for this- this is everyone who plays the games progress NOT your neighbours progress

This community event is different because each chapter we unlock is part of a quest, once we finish that chapter we unlock the furniture you can see in my early access post. I will be added information and pictures of all the goals and the prizes as we unlock them.

NOTE: you will need to click claim in the community tab to be able to start a chapter:

1.Tiny Travels- complete these goals to unlock dining items

 

  • Call a sim to the magical rainforest (use the sea voyage boat to get there then click on a whistle on the simtracker to bring a sim)
  • Approach a forest sprite- 1 second

  • Inspect the area (click on the x)- 3 minutes 5 seconds

  • Place the bouquet (click on the x)- 4 seconds

  • Unlock the next chapter- when we all unlock the next chapter you will be able to do the next set of goals!

4.Stranger Times- complete these goals to unlock lighting items

 

  • Politely meet the princess- 1 minute

  • Discuss with the princess- 1 minute
  • Examine the door- 1 minute

  • Offer to help the princess- 1 minute
  • Examine the book of spells- 1 minute (bookcase)

  • Make a bloom potion- 48 seconds (stove at a sims house)

  • Pour the bloom potion on the sealed door- 5 seconds

  • Reassure a sprite- 1 minute

  • Read the strange notes- 1 minutes

  • Give the notes to the princess- 2 seconds
  • Unlock the next chapter- when we all unlock the next chapter you will be able to do the next set of goals!

7.Missing Love- complete these goals to unlock reading area items

 

  • Ask a sprite about the prince- 1 minute

  • Solve the sprites riddle:

‘Prince Finn once said his favourite hobby is to sit down with a good adventure’ what was he doing when he disappeared?

If you don’t know the answer is: Reading!

  • Examine the staircase- 14 seconds

  • Make a bloom potion- 48 seconds (using a stove at home)
  • Use bloom potion on the stairs- 5 seconds

  • Talk to the grumpy sprite- 30 seconds

  • Talk to the princess- 1 minute

  • Ask the princess what to do- 1 minute
  • Send a sim home
  • Think about Prince Finn- 48 seconds (on a seat)

  • Unlock the next chapter- when we all unlock the next chapter you will be able to do the next set of goals!

10.Fairy Fright- complete these goals to unlock bedroom set

 

  • Call about the prince- 48 seconds (using a phone)

  • Check under a bed- 48 seconds

  • Call a sim to the magical rainforest
  • Ask about the prince’s personality- 1 minute (ask princess)

  • Guess a comfortable place for the prince: ANSWER- reading area- 5 minutes

  • Send a sim home
  • Place a reading chair (buy a chair from the home store)
  • Analyse the setup (click on the chair)- 48 seconds

  • Unlock the next chapter- when we all unlock the next chapter you will be able to do the next set of goals!

  • Send a sim to the park

  • Send a sim home
  • Brew a shrink potion- 48 seconds (using a teapot)

  • Give Prince Finn the potion- 6 seconds

  • Say the magic words- 1 minute (Finn)

  • Return to the magical rainforest
  • Ask a sprite what is wrong- 1 minute

  • Tell the Princess what happened- 1 minute
  • Unlock the final chapter-  when we all unlock the next chapter you will be able to do the final set of goals!

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 15 UNLOCKS: simtown express, downtown area and hospital profession workplace TIME LIMIT: 5 days PRIZE: toddler train conductor outfit

NOTE: if a pop up appears about this new quest click NOT NOW, if you do click YES and it takes you to downtown DO NOT BUILD THE HOSPITAL! Go back to simtown and build the simtown express first. If you build the hospital you will not be able to get back to downtown to complete construction on the hospital and will be unable to build the simtown express as the hospital is being built. If you have built the hospital early contact the makers to see if they can fix this issue for you

To begin this discovery quest you need to build the simtown express (this is located on the bottom left of town next to the restaurant) If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the toddler train conductor outfit, if you don’t complete in the time you will still unlock the simtown express and downtown but you won’t get the outfit

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

  

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has

  • Call the train company- 48 seconds (using a phone)

  • Meet Thomas, the tiny conductor- 15 minutes


  • Ask about safety lessons- 2 hours 15 minutes (Thomas)

  • Read a book about trains- 8 hours 30 minutes (using a bookshelf)

  • Find a snack for Thomas- 1 hour 50 minutes (using a fridge)

  • Ask for safety lesson 1- 5 minutes (Thomas)

  • Demonstrate single seating- 10 hours (click on a seat)

  • Ask for safety lesson 2- 5 minutes (Thomas)

  • Send a sim to the park
  • Watch the train demonstration- 14 hours 45 minutes (train set in park)

  • Ask for safety lesson 3- 5 minutes (send a sim home and find Thomas)

  • Stand behind the yellow line- 16 hours 45 minutes (appears at the front of the house you are at)

  • Search for the train key- 1 hour 50 minutes (bed)

  • Apologise to Thomas- 6 hours 15 minutes

  • Give cookies to Thomas- 1 minute (Thomas)
  • Ask for final lesson- 5 minutes (Thomas)

  • Practice holding on- 1 day (click on Thomas)

  • Guess Thomas’s age- 1 hour 15 minutes (I don’t think it matters which one you pick but he does say he is 5 and 3/4 earlier on!)

Now you have completed the quest you can take the Simtown Express to the Downtown Area! In the Downtown Area you can find the Hospital, Downtown High School and Penthouse Apartments!

How do I start this discovery quest?
Build the simtown express to start this quest

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Help! I have built the hospital before the simtown express now I cannot build the simtown express, what should I do?You will need to contact the makers so they can fix this issue for you

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start building the simtown express you don’t have to do this quest at all but if you have already started building or started this quest you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

I can’t complete the train demonstration, why?
Thomas needs to be at the park to be able to complete this, if he isn’t, go back to the house he was last at, find him and then go back to the park. If he still doesn’t arrive at the park, click on the whistle on the simtracker to bring him there.

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Toddler train conductor outfit, the one that Thomas wears in this quest

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the downtown area and hospital before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start building the simtown express you don’t have to do this quest but once it is built the quest will begin
