Completing this quest unlocks the restaurant once unlocked you can repair the restaurant like you repair the stables and then it will be ready to use! If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the chef outfits for your adult sims. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the restaurant but you won’t get the chef outfits

- Be nice to the Grouch- 4 minutes
- Taste the Grouch’s special dish- 1 minute (click on grouch)
- Complain to the Grouch- 2 hours 10 minutes
- Call the first judge on a phone- 3 minutes 12 seconds
- Take Wumples’ order- 5 minutes (he will appear at the house you are at)
- Cook any dish for Wumples’- 1 minute (cheese on toast)
Select cooking on stove, pick dish, click on bubble above sims head when dish is ready

- Investigate what the Grouch dropped- 5 minutes (blue X will appear at front of the house you are at)
- Have a sim make a mud pie- 3 hours 30 minutes (using a garden patch)
- Go to the restaurant
- Give mud pie to Grouch- 4 hours 20 minutes

Click on a stove and select cooking, pick the dish (cheese on toast is the quickest but you will need a toaster) wait for it to be cooked and then click on the bubble that appears above your sims head when the dish is ready
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it

Click on the plates and select the option
I cannot find Wumples/Santa/Grouch! What should I do?
Firstly restart your device then try looking around all your houses in simtown for them, they have got to be somewhere!
Pizza is locked, how do I cook it?
Your sim needs to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave at that house

Your sim needs to be level 4 at cooking and have a 2 star fridge and stove

You don’t see the mud pie, just click on the Grouch and select the option to give mudpie
My game says there is something under construction when I try to open the front door, what do I do?
Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to open the front door to the restaurant (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)

Hey I’m on lvl 14 nd I missed the bread winner quest (ik you answered) but does it have to be a main quests or a weekly because I have done weeklys but I’m stuck on the horse stables one…is that why it hasn’t popped up yet?

When my SIMS aren’t at work making money I always make them plant or bake something to earn as much as possible (obviously they need to sleep/ eat as well!)

After cooking the quiche, the grouch is nowhere to be found! I click on the plates, select ‘serve grouch’ and all the sims show the footsteps alert bubble and nothing happens…

On this quest you only get 6 days and how do you complete these quests because I have school so you lose a lot of time?

i just finished serving the grouch and the blue x didn’t pop up. I went to the resturant and back to my house and a couple hours later I saw this and got back on went to every house I have built and still can’t find it. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or if this is a glitch ?
Where did you serve him? It should have appeared at the house you served him at as soon as that task was completed, it may be a glitch then if you can’t find it, maybe you should contact EA

You need to complete quests in order, you probably are on an earlier quest, have a look in your quest queue to see which quests are coming up

I cooked for wumples but when I click on “serve” the bubble with the footsteps comes up and I can’t serve it to him! Tried it in like four different houses, different dishes but all the Sims can’t bc of the footstep thing…. Grr

My restaurant cost 300,000! Not fair! I had to save up for weeks even though I read this post in advance, so I could plan it. I don’t even have that many houses! Or the car yard or supermarket! Why is it so expensive? Now with the multi story renovations quest, it’ll cost even more!

i cant complete the mud pie quest coz i dont have any toddler…my toddler already grown up into preteens….and now how do i complete the quest if i dont have any toddler around…adopting another toddler will cost real money…please help me out
you need to make a new one, there is nothing else you can do to complete it, sorry!
To build the the restaurant it costs me 275,000 simoleons mind you my town is values at just over 3,000,000 guess I won’t be getting those chef outfits
Hey WeightlessMagic I am on level 24 and finishing the preteen quest (I got behind On quests There Are So Many!) and the Sous Judgemental Quest is next for me and can you estimate how much buying the restraunt is? Again I am on Level 24 and was just trying to see around how much money I need to save up My sims work as athletes and don’t make much sadly, the average money I usually have after saving up for a little whole is 250,000

I had plenty of time to complete this quest, including spending 3 LPs on a baby, and 5 LPs (and a whole day) to age them into a Toddler. Just completed it with 1 hr. 15 minutes to spare! Your info definitely helped. I had trouble finding Wumples once his food was made; he was at another Sims house and wouldn’t follow me back to the house his quiche was at. I saved and shut down the game, and he was at the first house I went to after restarting. Thanks for all your help and information!

I have 2 different towns on iPhone and iPad and finished the quest in time. I’m sure it said I could get the chef outfits at the Costume store (which I never built and now costs 300,000!) OR ‘any wardrobe’ but I can’t find them in any wardrobe. Any ideas?

A toddler must bake a mud cake , but I don’t have a toddler…what now

So I have been saving up for the mall which is250,000$ but I just got this quest and my restaurant is the same amount…. I still need like 15,000$ to get to 250,000 but I can’t decide if I should do the quest or the sunset mall cuz I have been saving up for a while for the mall, advice?
I would build the restaurant if you are on this quest and want to get the prize, the mall will still be waiting when you save up enough money for it
Aww poop. I literally JUST aged the one toddler I had. Now I’m “making” another baby, but by the time I get to aging it the 3 days left to get the prize will be over. And as a fairly new player I kinda want whatever I can get. Oh well. I guess that was more of a rant/complaint than a question. What level are you on and how long has it taken you? I’ve been playing for a few months and I’m only on the swimming quest but on level 17!
On my latest game I am on level 41 and it has taken me 8 months to get there

yes you can still play, you add more sims and earn orbs to build the arcade, pet park, carnival and beach, the game doesn’t end

No it isn’t a place you can work, but you can do the cooking hobby there.
Is there a maximum number of Sims that can live in 1 house because my house has got 4 Sims in and apparently there is not enough room for another baby!

The fastest way to earn simoleons is to bring as many Sims as possible to one house (I think the max is 10), and have them all plant the 30 second bell peppers repeatedly. It’s time consuming and boring, but not unbearable if you put on Netflix or something.
The bell peppers are free, bag you §4 every 30 seconds (that’s a max of §480/hr X 10 Sims = §4800/hr if you’re relentless). The real key is that the constant finishing of tasks will get you major bonuses from the Riches of Terra. Give it a try for a few minutes and you’ll see what I mean.
Major extra money can be earned if your temporary farm has a resident pet Fairy. Those little guys find money constantly if you’re there to collect it, and fairly large amounts. I’ve only had the two cheapest Fairies, but both have earned me thousands.

The fastest way I’ve found to earn LP is to complete the cooking hobby, then reset it for extra rewards. Each time you complete it again, you earn 5 LP. I set up 3 stoves and 3 toasters and set 3 Sims to cooking the quickest recipe. Use one additional Sim as a dish washer so you don’t become overwhelmed by plates.
I can usually complete the cooking hobby in 20-25 minutes. Not exactly fun, but I really wanted that unicorn! Once again, do this in a house with a Fairy to defray the constant §5 cost of the recipe. You’ll come ahead by thousands.

For SP, I take some of those hard-earned LP and spend them on the Social Point Flower. 5LP gets you a minimum of 5SP, max of 400SP.
Since I don’t have any friends on the party boat except the built in one the game gave me, I haven’t had much luck with the Social quests. My fake friend doesn’t have the equipment (pool, foehag, telescope, etc) for me to complete the quests without using the “skip” option, which costs 5LP and only gives 1SP in return. The new Flower is a much better option.

Did you delete your post on when to construct buildings in town? It was super helpful and described which buildings were more important than others, which buildings you would need to build for quests, which buildings weren’t as useful/necessary that you should wait until later to build, etc., so the more important buildings wouldn’t be as expensive or take as long to build.
I’m currently on the preteens quest with no time limit/prize, so while I’m still on this quest I want to save enough money for the next few quests so I can get everything done in time – I didn’t have enough money to build the pet store or the children’s store on the quest for toddlers and it took me forever to make and save enough money to build them both (I don’t know how/why but I didn’t have to build the children’s store for the two & a half sims quest or anything else, I had to build it literally just so I could buy the dollhouse during the toddler quest). Having to wait for two businesses to be built during just one quest totally killed any chance I had of finishing in the time limit and getting the prize (which was actually a good prize, so I’m still a little bitter).
So now I’m trying to figure out which buildings I’ll need to build soon so I can have an estimate of how much money I need to have saved before completing preteens and starting the sous judgmental quest. And also so I’ll know when there are no more buildings for quests that I’ll need to plan & save for. So did you delete your post on when to construct buildings in town, or move the info somewhere else or something? I’ve searched your site looking for that post and I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks!

Hey, on the preteen quest and wanted to ask some things:
When I tap on Costume and Swim Store, it says it will cost $200,000, so the restaurant will cost the same. I have to build the school for a hundred thousand. Will this affect the price of the restaurant because I want to finish that quest in time.
Other people are talking about a Grouch glitch. In the need for steed or hidden unicorn, other people were also talking abut a glitch in that quest, but it didn’t happen to me. However, I experience the normal glitches such as the changing into work clothes. Do you think it is likely I will get the Grouch glitch?
Those are my two questions, and I have a tip for everyone:
If you have spare time left on a quest and are on the last goal, wait until morning to do it. If you do it that night, you will lose time for the next quest. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way 😐
