To begin this discovery quest you need to build the private island, you can find the island next to the bridge to the mysterious island. Completing this quest unlocks the private island which is a new house lot. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the private island villa lot to build on the island. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the island and build a house on it you just won’t unlock the villa

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

The cost of the private island varies depending on how many houses you have already built

Where can I find it? Click on the private island and click on the Island Villa to build it

Is it worth it? The island villa has a platform that you cannot build yourself but if you don’t manage to complete in the time don’t worry as you can still build a house on the private island using the private island empty lot

TIP: if you want to build your own but finished in the time limit, build the island villa anyway and store all the furniture as most of the villa items cost SPs and LPs

Cost? The first one is free, you can only build one house on the private island!

Frequently Asked Questions about the Private Island Villa:

What can I build on the Private Island? You can only build the empty private island lot or private island villa
I want to move the platform underneath the house or extend it! The platform cannot be deleted, extended or put in the inventory, you also cannot move it. To be able to edit something similar build the empty private island and add a balcony instead- this can be edited as shown in my video here
Can I put different stairs on the platform? The stairs that come with the villa are the only ones that are compatible with the platform, they can be moved, placed in your inventory but cannot be sold.
I cannot find the villa stairs after storing them, where are they? You can find them in the exterior stairs tab, check out my adding exterior stairs post if you are unsure how to place them
Can my sims walk on the platform? To walk on the platform there must be a balcony connected to the stairs. If you have not completed the DIY Homes: Lovey-Dovey Balconies Quest you will not be able to edit or delete the existing balcony.
Can I edit the platform? No the platform cannot be edited.
Can I build a basement on the island? Yes you can!
Can I build a multi story house? Yes you can, click here to see my two story villa I created
Can I put the platform in my inventory and use it on another home lot? No, it cannot be stored
Can I build a patio? Yes you can!
Can I move any of the items on the island such as the shower or towels? No you cannot as these are outside of the grid.
Does the private island have access to a car? No- I think we should be able to have a boat! That would be so cool!

Once you have completed the Simtown Express Quest you will be able to build the downtown high school to begin this quest. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the teacup pig pet, you can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock downtown high school and the class clown hobby but you won’t get the pig pet

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

The price of the high school varies depending on how many other businesses you have already built (your teens won’t be able to go to school here)

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has

Note: you need a pet to be able to complete this quest so make sure you build the pet store if you haven’t already

Visit Downtown High (send a sim to downtown high)
Phone the Principal- 1 minute (select the option on a sim)

Clean up the front of the school:

Branches- 2 hours 30 minutes x3
Weeds- 1 hour x4
Weeds- 30 minutes x1
Small Rock Pile- 5 minutes x1

TIP: You can work on clearing all of these areas with more than one sim to complete quicker

Play with soccer ball- 5 minutes

Clean the sports field:

Trash- 2 hours 30 minutes x3
Trash- 1 hour x5
Trash- 1 hour 30 minutes x3
Trash- 4 hours 10 minutes x1

TIP: Again have more than one sim clearing all these areas to complete quicker

Phone the Principal again- 1 hour 40 minutes

Say hello to Vernon (pig)- 3 hours 20 minutes

Feed Vernon- 6 hours 40 minutes

Lie down on a school bench- 2 hours

Search the field- 10 minutes

Send a sim to the park
Search the fountain- 7 hours 5 minutes

Answer the call from the principal (oink like a pig)- 2 hours 30 minutes

Check coach’s email on a computer- 8 hours

Photograph ‘Vernon’- to complete this task you need to buy a pet from the pet store and select the option on them to photograph pet- 13 hours 30 minutes

Adjust photo on a computer- 3 hours 20 minutes (apply filters)

Return to the park
Follow the trail of rubbish in the park (it will take you to one of your sims houses)

Have 2 sims in a house lot (2 sims at a house)
Have your sim lie to another sim (select the interaction between two sims)- 8 hours 20 minutes

Watch a sports event on TV- 9 hours 30 minutes

Sit and think of a solution- 1 hour 12 minutes (couch)

Confess to 5 sims- 5 hours each

TIP: you have to do this 5 times so have 5 PAIRS of sims completing this action at the same time to complete quicker!

Workshop a solution (select the interaction between two sims)- 14 hours 10 minutes

Send 5 sims to downtown high sports field
Perform sports activities at the downtown high sports field using 5 sims- 18 hours 20 minutes (if you want to speed up this task you have to speed up all 5 sims separately)

Hug Vernon- 22 hours 30 minutes

Build the classroom- takes 10 seconds and costs S500

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

Once you complete the quest you will have access to Downtown High School, also the 7 day time limit for the Class Clown hobby will start straight away which is completed in the classrooms in Downtown High School

Prize: Teacup Pig Pet

Where can I find them? You can find the pig pet in the pet store

Cost? The first one is free after that they cost 100LP each

Is it worth it? Yes! It is soo cute! You cannot feed the pig though, you can only scratch the pigs tummy and pet the pig and there are no items currently for a pig to use

Once you have completed the Simtown Express Quest you will be able to find the director in the park to begin this quest to unlock penthouse apartments in the downtown area. If you complete this quest in the time limit you unlock the celebrity fashion outfits for your female adult sims, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the apartments but you won’t get the outfits

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Ask Miss Director what’s wrong- 30 seconds

Offer to help Miss Director- 12 seconds

The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

Help! I can’t give the donuts to a sim, why?
You need to find two sims who are strangers to be able to give them the donuts, they can’t have interacted before

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
You unlock celebrity fashion outfits

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?

Once you have completed the Super Toddler Secret Mission Quest you will be able to find the super villain toddler in the park to start this quest with a toddler sim. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the outdoor cinema and bean bags. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the super villain toddler outfits but you won’t unlock the outdoor cinema or bean bags

Once you have built the Health Hub this discovery quest will begin, you can find the health hub next to the pet salon in simtown. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock activewear for your adult sims, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the aerobics hobby but you won’t get the activewear

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has

Visit Health Hub

Research Gym Etiquette- 5 minutes (computer)

Train on the cross trainer- 15 minutes

Clean up the kitchen- you need to clean up 3 things:

Broken tiles- 5 hours 45 minutes
Trash- 5 hours 15 minutes
Leaky Roof- 10 hours 25 minutes

TIP: have two sims at the health hub so you can clean up the trash and tiles at the same time, you can’t fix the roof until the trash is out of the way!

Refresh with a drink- 5 minutes (fridge)

Watch ‘Barry’s fitness bonanza’- 1 hour 12 minutes

Kick over a trashcan- 2 seconds (if the trashcan has already been knocked over, clean it up and then you will get this option)

Investigate the music (go to the park)
Meet the dancing man- 5 minutes

Dance with Skippy- 2 hours 30 minutes

Tell Skippy the time- 6 hours 15 minutes

Snore in bed- 9 hours

Revisit the health hub

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

Once you complete this quest the Aerobics Hobby Event will begin, there is a time limit of 7 days and each time you complete the hobby collection you will earn another activewear outfit for your male and female adult sims- there are 7 packs to earn. I’m not sure why there is a time limited hobby event as soon as we unlock the new Aerobics hobby- usually when we unlock a new hobby we just have to complete it once in a time limit to earn an extra prize so this is very difficult!

You can also now clean up the bathroom/changing room at the Health Hub:

Leaky Roof- 10 hours 25 minutes
Trash- 5 hours 5 minutes x2
Trash- 5 hours 15 minutes

Prize: Activewear

Build the health hub to start this quest

Does the time limit start when I click to build or once the building has complete?
Once it has finished building the quest and time limit will begin

Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start building the health hub you don’t have to do this quest at all but if you have already started building or started this quest you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

How do I send my sim to the health hub?
Go to the health hub and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker

The trashcan has already been knocked over, what do I do?
Select the clean up option then you can knock it over

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Activewear outfits

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the aerobics hobby before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start building the health hub you don’t have to do this quest but once it is built the quest will begin

This quest unlocks the aerobics hobby event, does the time limit start straight away once I have completed this quest?
Yes, the time limit for the hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down
