Is the prize worth it? Yes! This is such a great thing to have, you can find it in the toddler section and when placed in the home your toddler can dress as a robot, panda, dinosaur or bee! If you use the chest they walk around acting like the character which is cute but you can put them in an outfit permanently using the wardrobe or costume and swim store

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 12 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 12?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
I have watched a documentary but it hasn’t completed the goal, why?
You will not be able to complete this goal until you get the goal when the quest starts
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
The dress up chest
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the ability to age your babies to toddlers before you can move onto the next quest

I would just like to say thanks for all of your brilliant blogs, they really help me! I would also like to know how long have you been playing sims? I first downloaded it around half a year after it came out, and I got to a really high level on it, but last Christmas I got an iPad mini and transferred all the data onto my iPad but all my in-app data was lost! It also seemed to all be erased off my iPod too! Anyway I am currently on the mysterious island quest, nearly finished it just building the bridge 🙂

On the toddler quest, can you start goals early and still complete them, for example, baking rocky road?

It wont be up for a while yet, I’m on the first goal to build the swim center at the moment and I’m saving up then it takes 36 hours to build, sorry!

Have you heard about the new update that’s coming out on March 13th that allows your senior sims to die? It also brings back personalities, but only two of them – sporty and geek. They say more will come in the future. I’m not sure I totally agree with sims dying, but at least they are adding everything possible to the game.
Yeah I have, I don’t want my sims to die! Hopefully we get to choose and they don’t just go on their own

Something interesting I noted about the building the pet store. It initially said 30 hours to build, but I did not have the 100,000. When I got the 100,000, I went to build it and the time showed 36 hours, which would be 2 days from now. While scanning the city for XP bubbles, I saw the Pet Store was 3/4 way done. I checked now and the remaining time is 9 hours, I had to get someone to start burning the rocky road!
Do you ever see building times change in the middle of a build?
Strange, I’ve never noticed that before, it only usually changes when you build other buildings
When I went to the pet store, the greyhound was free! I thought why not, so I bought him. Then I bought the Golden Retriever for 22 LP. I really like dogs in a color you can see them in the yard. Yesterday I went back to the pet store to see if they had anymore FREE dogs/cats. There weren’t any, but it might be worthwhile every now and then to check for free animals.
Also, I put those 2 dogs on my community plot where I keep everyone congregated for farming. In 15 minutes, the Golden Retriever made $305 with 1 LP and the Greyhound made $222 with 1 LP. Over on the first dog that was free – Black Lab – he made $134 no LP. Interesting to note, they basically dig every minute. However, it seems like the more people you have at that location, the more they dig. Maybe the people get them excited! (Don’t you know the developers laugh at all our theories!)
If you have time, I would love for you to write a post about the quests specifically if finishing within the time limit is really worthwhile in your experience. Are there some quests that you really want to finish on time to get the bonus, or if it is a bonus that does not really amount to anything – either now or down the road. Sometimes it may be beneficial to just slow things down to accumulate more money before moving onto the next quest where you are going to need tons of money.
They don’t give you free ones all the time, the first one you buy is free- that is a goal in this quest!
I won’t be creating a new post for each of the quests I have already wrote about because I just don’t have the time to be wasted on that but I will add to each of the quest lists about whether the prize is worthwhile.
Oh, ok – when you said the first one was free, I thought you meant the dog we get when we start the game.

strange! I don’t recall all these quests when I first started playing (swimming quest? Toddler quest?). Were they implemented in the past year?
Every so often they change the quests and how the game is played
I’m stuck on this quest for a while, any hints on finding a fancy coffee table
It’s not a fancy coffee table, you just use the coffee machine to make a fancy coffee
FYI there’s a major bug in the swimming pool quest. If you get to the slide down the slide for 3 1/2 hours part and get a message that says “your sim was interrupted due to the change in the weather” then the only was to complete without using LPs is to keep it on that screen the entire time. What I did was turn off the auto lock on my iPad plug it in then do the slide and leave my iPad on the counter until it was done. Hope this helps anyone else who encounters this bug.

Im currently baking the rocky road.. so I tried to get started on the “get serious advice from the park statue” but it’s telling me that I need a senior to do this. I don’t have one yet. . What do I do?
You don’t need a senior to do this you just can’t do this task early

I have gone along and finally bought the player designed house. It is worth it to wait until you can buy the “player designed” house for your new family. It has many, many toys for the toddlers, a kiddie pool, a swingset, trampoline, and twin beds. It even has a dog house for the dog! Just make do with what you have until you buy that house.
is it possible to change a neighbor’s baby’s diaper .. coz i have put mine on hibernation ?

Yes it’s possible, but it won’t get you the task completed. I’ve tried to do tasks on my neighbors if I can’t do them in my own town, and it doesn’t count.
What was the prize for completing the raiders of lost artifacts? I didn’t notice that I ran out of time before I even finished it.

the price may be different for you but it will probably be around 100,000S, you are never going to get that much before getting to the level though so you may not be able to complete the quest in time if you don’t have the money to build the swim center
Does anyone else find it strange that you are able to leave your baby alone in the house without adults home? What happens if you try to leave your toddler home alone? Thanks for the blog, I have yet to complete a quest within the specifies time. I don’t even know how it is possible without knowing what task to do next….?
You can leave toddlers home alone too, they have introduced this since the latest update incase a child is left alone when their parents age and die I guess!
No problem 🙂 if you want a tip the best thing to do is start really long tasks early to get the quest done during the time
I know this is a different quest I’m asking for but I don’t seem to find where I can ask, I’m stuck on a social task I need to mellow out at a neighbours poolside what exactly do they need to mellow out on and where do I find it ??
You could have posted in the questions section but its okay. You need like a poolside lounger, the kind you would just to sunbath, your neighbours may not have one

The cake thing is stupid. I finished the quest. Why do I have to pay LPs to get my toddler now. I completed it in time.
Because you get the ability to age them by completing this quest and you got the prize of the chest so the cake isn’t part of the prize. You only have to buy cakes until you complete the life dreams and legacies quest which automatically ages your sims

I wouldn’t do it in the main house because you don’t want to finish baking it before you get this goal or you will have to start again

Have you looked at the different pets you can buy, the cheapest one is probably the only one that’s free

I can’t get advice from the statue in the park, it says incorrect age need to be a senior but that isn’t until I complete this task and level 21. How do I do it then, please help?
You don’t need to be a senior you just need to be an adult, are you using an adult?

The quest thing is a newish addition to the game, I never had to chest when I first started, I did get it on the second game I started recently though, there is no other way you are going to get it other than paying real money for it or starting a new game

I have not built either yet and was not sure if the pet store was the same price as the other buildings or if it is cheaper.
It probably won’t cost the same but if you click on the grey circle above the pet store or grocery store it will show you how much it will cost at this moment, it may change when you level up or build more buildings

I think the chest is free (I got it ages ago so it may have changed since then) if you complete the quest in time, if not you can buy it for real money

The price of the pet shop increases as you build other buildings such as houses so if you have lots of other buildings the price is probably right!

You can’t build the pet shop until you get the goal to build it

Is the dress up chest an action and they can only wear the costume for a certain amount of time, or is it more like a wardrobe and they can wear the costume for as long as they want? Thanks:)
It’s not really a certain amount of time, if they wear it from the chest they will walk like the character they are meant to be but they can wear it all the time from the wardrobe and they walk normally 🙂
What mean ”Change diaper” ?
You need to get an adult to click on the baby and click change diaper, which will change the baby’s diaper/nappy to increase the hygenie 🙂

You just need to keep planting and send your sims to work to get as much money as quickly as possible, you may not get it done in time though if it is so expensive. You can buy the chest for real money in the store if you don’t complete in time.
I only have 2 days and 22 hours left but I’m working building the pet store and it cost $100,000 and I only have 41,348 this moment and
I did the math on my galaxy tab calculator ($41,348 + 480 for bean plant × 9 sims) and It says it will take 8 days to get $100,000

You can get more money from gardening if the sim is inspired (all their moods are full) or by going to work or baking, but you are probably not going to get the quest done in time, sorry!
Hey I love your blog! But I’m saving up for the toddlers quest. However my question is as I am sending my sims to work continuously to gain a lot of simoleons. Do you have an idea of how much (hit machine level 5) for musician pays? Because I’ve seen your last post but the amount of money has increased since then like 1350 for roadie, 1435 for busker and so on. So I was wondering how much the last level pays so I can have an idea on how much more days I have to save up for. Thankyou:)
Sorry but I no longer have a level 5 musician- he is now a senior so I have no idea! Everytime they update the game they seem to change the salary

no, don’t buy it early, you will have to buy another one

Yes you can, just make sure you do it in a different house and only go there once you get the goal to bake rocky road
Would it still work if you just don’t click the icon once the rocky road is finished?
No because it says goal complete just by going to the house after its made, not when you click the bubble
Hi.. love your blog. I’m on this quest. And my pet store cost $200000. I only have 4days left, build the pet store takes 1day and 18hrs, and I think I cant make it on time cuz I only have $73000 now. Actually guys you Can saving $ n make more money. I made $150000 in 2or3 days… just keep your sims planting, buy the seed from supermarket its cheaper. Keep them planting before and after they work (after they work make them grow onions or beans, simoleons sprout,) n dont forget keep them inspired, send your sims to work (mine at lv 4 and 5). Collect money from houseboard party, weekly task, daily reward. Dont buy anything thats not important.

How many houses have you built? The price increases depending on the amount of buildings you have, so I’m guessing you have a lot!

OK question I wanted to move two of my married Sims that had a baby so I made the husband move away ( bad choice lol ) and moved the Sim that didn’t move away into the new house THEN I couldn’t move the baby! When they are toddlers can they move into a new house? And is it strange that a baby can just live by it self with out parents there?
They should be able to move when they are a toddler but you may have to move the other family members back to that house if you can
They can live on their own now because their parents may die so they will be left alone

You can have a max of 2 pets per house so you can have 2 cats or a dog and a cat
