A DANCE TO REMEMBER QUEST – JUKEBOX – ADULT SIMS ONLY – PRIZES: BREAKDANCING HOBBY AND 5LP
TIME LIMITED HOBBY – TIME: 7 DAYS – TIME LIMITED PRIZE: LATIN VILLA
Once you complete the A Dance to Remember Quest the time limit for the salsa dancing hobby will start straight away, to begin this hobby you need to buy the jukebox from the promotions r us store for S5,000 and place it in one of your sims houses:
I cannot place the jukebox, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the jukebox in one of your sims houses.
If you complete this hobby in the 7 day time limit you will unlock the Latin villa from the quest:
You will need two sims to complete this hobby at one time, the first sim selects wait for partner and the second sim selects one of the hobby options:
- Quick Salsa- 1 hour 30 minutes
- Extended Mambo- 7 hours 30 minutes
NOTE: you can only buy one jukebox the first time you complete this quest and 4 sims can use a jukebox at one time (2 couples) after the first time as many sims as you want can complete this hobby as you can buy as many jukeboxes as you want
After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the salsa dancing collectibles. Every time your sims complete one of the options above their salsa dancing hobby skill level up percentage will increase (it increases for both sims), once they reach 100% they will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the salsa dancing collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.
The table below shows the level up percentage for each option:

NOTE: it says 188% but you will start from 0% at level 2
The next table shows you for each level what salsa dancing collectibles you unlock (so you can then find those ones too) and also the level up reward that a second and future sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

NOTE: only the first sims completing this hobby needs to get to level 6 to unlock all the collectibles, future sims will be able to find any collectible even if they are only on level 1 in this hobby (and they can do the shortest option to try and find the collectibles quicker!)
You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?
The completed salsa dancing collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):
You will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles
If you complete this hobby in the time limit you will unlock the Latin Villa, the first one is free after that on a standard it costs 125SP and on a premium it costs 175SP. More information on the villa can be found in my house guide part five
You also unlock:
The latin paving for patios, balconies and pools
Latin Mosaic, Latin Concrete and Latin Shapes flooring 
Latin Exterior Stucco Tile (exterior walls)
Latin Red Stucco, Latin Blue Stucco and Latin Tile Mosaic walls 
The rewards for completing this collection are the breakdancing hobby and 5 LP:
- The first time you complete this collection you unlock the breakdancing hobby (even if you don’t manage to complete in the time limit) this is another time limited hobby, you need to buy the breakdancing boom box from promotions r us to begin the hobby:
- From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 5LP

Hiya, I can’t seem to get an any from anywhere about my issue. I had the task to eat hors d’ovures at the villa, I can get to the villa but the roof is still on and it won’t let my sim in. Now the dance to remember quest has past its 7 days and without doing it I can’t build the mall etc!!! Can you HELP !!! 🙂

No you cannot, you have to complete in the time limit to unlock the villa.
Hi. I’ve been trying to complete the salsa hobby for months and months. I can’t unlock the last trophy! Literally all my other hobbies I’ve completed and started again and again and also managed to build my whole town and complete all quests but this one hobby I can’t finish. Do you think there could be a glitch as it’s taking soooo long?
No its probably not a glitch, some just seem to take forever sometimes, all you can really do is just keep going, you will get it one day!
This issue needs to be fixed. You have 7 days, it took me 4 months of 24/7 dancing. It makes no sense, that was the beginning of the end for me. I very rarely open this app anymore and that was how it started. Not to mention you spend time and simoleans building a huge restaurant, disco, mall, ski resort, etc and you can’t have more than 10 Sims at a time in any of them. The death phase makes me feel really creepy when a Sim transitions. I’m pretty much just over this game.
Me too! I have been doing the salsa and figure skating for months and cannot get the last medal/trophy 😔. I even had to stop my figure skater from growing old it’s been so long. I had 11 Sims get old in the course of 3 days! 11! That means they are all going to die at the same time too 😩. Anyone know if you get free babies when they do? I am not going to make any money since no one can work. I think I’m about done with this game too. I no longer care about my characters, I can barely figure out who they even are since they have changed into an old people. Not cool,EA 😠.

It’s not a quest, you just click on the jukebox to start the hobby.
I am doing the dance to remember quest now, I think I will cry if I don’t completely the hobby in time to get the villa ha! Is the LP’s at the side of the hobby square lines for the lucky spins? Or can you actually buy the ones you need? I don’t want to click on them n waist my money.

Hello! I have a problem with my Spanish villa house since the latest update. When I first got the villa the sim, George Clooney:) could do anything inside and practiced salsa dancing all day. Since the newest update he is stuck standing in front of the front door (inside) and he won’t move anywhere. He can go to work and can be called to another property and then move about. I called another sim to the villa and he was dropped outside on the patio by the pool. He could move around until he got inside near George and then he wouldn’t go. I would assume there is something blocking like a piece of furniture but I have not moved or rearranged anything in the villa. It’s exactly the same as I bought it except and singing fish. Have you had anyone else with this problem? I’m guessimg it’s a glitch that they need to fix but maybe you have a suggestion I can try in game?

When trying to complete the salsa dancing hobby within the 7 days, is it best to choose the shorter dancing time (to get more tries at a new trophy) or does the longer dancing time have a better chance of a new trophy?
do the longer options to level up faster but once you are at the highest level do the shortest option

I already missed this timed quest and the prized Villa and until now, , for over a month now of dancing salsa, I still couldn’t complete the Trophies for the breakdancing to be unlock! This is getting annoying … Any tips for being able to complete the trophies?
All you can really do is just keep going, unfortunately they seem to have made this hobby harder to complete in the time limit
You could use LPs but as you missed the time limit prize I don’t think you need to waste LPs on it

If you have already started it then yes the timer will go down while you are away
I’m 2 days since reaching level 6 and can’t get last row of tropies. I dance for 1.5 h and can’t get it. Tried 7.5 h and got it and next day got the save trophy with 1.5 h but I can’t get others…
there is nothing I can suggest to help, you just have to keep going, you will get them eventually

Hi, I’m trying to complete the salda dancing hobby but I can’t seem to make any progress after level 1. Whenever i get 100% on level 1, it would start all over again. Do you have any idea why this might be happening? Contacting EA are pointless because they have never answer my inquiries.
Sorry I don’t know why its doing that, it sounds like a glitch to me, only EA would be able to fix this problem for you as I can’t sort out technical issues unfortunately

What a stupid way by EA for the alloted time limit of 7 days for a non-worth it prize. I just want the Sunset mall! Why does it take 3 days long for the part from Movie Marathon to Leave the Villa?

Do you achieve it faster if you choose the hour and half dance or the longer dance? Or doesn’t it matter?

The Latin Villa is for sale in the shop for $0.99, does anyone know if you actually get the house if you purchase this or are you just unlocking it to buy with SPs? I did not complete the hobby in time (still working on last trophy weeks later) but regret not getting the Villa

This Salsa Dancing hobby has really put a damper on a lot of my enthusiasm for this game. I threw a bunch of LPs at this hobby to speed it up and try to get it finished within the time limit, and that still didn’t work. So, I paid the $.99 to unlock the Villa, and I still don’t see it show up as a build option on my lots. I contacted FireMonkey, but at this point, I honestly don’t care. I’ll probably continue playing the game for now, but I’m not going to waste anymore time, simoleons, LPs or real world money to reach goals or add nice touches to the game. I’ll just get to things as I can. I’ll probably shelve the game for a while after the holidays. It seems as though they’ve made it super difficult to actually finish this hobby in the allotted time. I think that’s a mistake on their part, because that will leave a sour taste in people’s mouths to the point that they don’t want to play anymore. If a player puts in the time and/or resources (LPs, simoleons, etc.) to complete a goal, then they should be able to complete the goal. Bad form, EA.
if you go into settings and click restore purchases you should be able to find the villa in the house options, hope this makes you feel a little better

It should be in the promotions r us store, if you can’t find it there try restarting your device and looking for it again

I’m having problems with my a dance to remember quest. It popped up when I was visiting a friends town and I stupidly accepted it. The first task is to watch the dancers in the park. But there are no dancers in my park at all, and yes I have checked beside the statue. And if your wondering they’re not in my neighbours park either. So what is wrong? I keep checking back every day to see if they’re there! Now I’ve only got 4 days left please help 😖
Not sure why they aren’t showing up for you, have you tried restarting your device? That may help, if not I don’t know what else to suggest sorry but you may need to contact EA

No, it costs SPs if you win it, if you don’t win it you won’t be able to build it in your town.

No as you can only send one sim there at a time and you need two sims to do this hobby.
How do you get the latin inspired wallpaper and flooring? I am level 47 and i have completed the dance to remember but don’t have the floors/wallpapers.
If you complete the salsa dancing hobby in the time limit you unlock the villa and the wallpaper and flooring.

Do you know if both sims have to be level 6 to gain a level 6 trophy? I had two sims at level 6 and only one trophy to get, but then one sim aged and can no longer salsa dance…:( (this is my second time completing this hobbie) thanks!

I completed this hobby in a matter of 3 says or so but on my first day of the hobby I logged in and I got a message saying my time was up to get the villa…on the first day!! This also happened with other timed quests and hobbies. I get messages saying that my time is up when I’ve just started it. I’m done with the hobby and still no villa. I contacted ea days ago and have yet to hear from them. Is there anything else I can do? I like the game but I’m getting frustrated that all my timed items are being taken away before my time limit is up and its making me want to quit the game. Anyone else have this happen?
There isn’t much else you can do unfortunately as only they can fix technical issues, if you don’t hear back from them in a week or so try contacting them again, sorry! A lot of people have been having this problem on this update though

You mean the dance to remember quest? It wouldn’t be a nightmare but you wouldn’t get the prize for completing in time and you wouldn’t be able to do another discovery quest until you finished it.
Where is the Villa? I am supposed to have 5 sims in the Villa and I have no clue where it is.

That is correct, firemonkey handle the technical issues for the game.
I’m having a super hard time getting the last two “trophys” for the salsa dancing hobby. I wasn’t able to do it in the 7 days, but I’m still trying to get the last two “trophys” in the fourth and last set.. (the one where the prize at the end says 2,000xp) I have been trying with the same two sims for over a week! using both the short and extended versions. I have tried everything I think. I’ve switched the two to have the one wait and the other sim join, I’ve rushed with LPS. and I still cannot get the last two trophy needed to complete the hobby. help please? I will try anything! thank you so much.
I would recommend that you stick to the short version so you find a trophy quicker than doing the longer version, the longer version only really needs to be used to level up for the first time in a hobby
Have you tried using the lucky spin? When you open the hobby collection you will see the LP symbol next to the row that contains the collectibles you still need to get, click that and it will find you one in that row at random

I did not complete the hobby in the 7 days. So I thought I could keep going until I finish it and just not get the villa. But the whole entire quest is gone. It’s not on my quest bar or anything. Is this normal? I really wanted to move on to the break dancing quest.
You can still keep going, just keep doing the hobby, it won’t be in your goal tab as you didn’t complete it in time but you can still finish it.

No, the only way to wear the salsa dancing outfits is when you complete the hobby
I am trying to complete the quest but on the part where you Cheer On the dancers, the jukebox is apparently blocked and the 👣 sign shows up. What should I do??

If they are still in the park you won’t be able to complete this goal. Have all sims leave the villa and go back to the park, restart your device and hopefully the dancers should have left the park. Go back to the villa using the car to cheer them on
Fun fact I discovered today: salsa dancing counts as a “dancing to a stereo” task. I was surprised to finish A Quest For Toddlers by making my sims salsa dance.

I just finished the salsa dancing timed hobby, and got the option to build the Latin Villa for free x1 (standard or premium lot). Not sure if this is a change with the recent update or a glitch, but thought I would leave a comment since your blog has been so helpful in completing quests 🙂

One question not asked or answered above. How many sims can do this hobby at once? Can you do four couples dancing at the same time? Which would be eight sims. Or is it only two sets of couples?
This is answered: You can have 2 couples dancing at once.
2 couples= 4 sims
I need a jute box but I can’t get one because it’s not an option at the shop idk why I just can’t buy one because it’s not a choice to buy what do I do?

Did anybody get the Latin House? I was close to finishing the quest and had a couple of days left on the timer. Then I woke up the next day and the quest was gone. Really sad about missing out as the house was beautiful.
I think you should contact EA about this issue, they may be able to fix this for you.
I’ve managed to finally get all 12 trophies with 3 days left….phew. Unfortunately, I didn’t recieve the latin villa. :-(((( I still get notifications telling me I have one day left but I have ago the salsa trophies and most of the break dancing too.

Hoya i tried to do the hobby in time and got all trophies except the final row 2 weeks on and god knows how many attempts im still yet to complete it despite having 2 sets dancing the hobby on quick salsa 5 times a day
What am i doing wrong its 3 weeks now and lost the villa but still have the bottom row empty, all 4 dancers are on level 6
You aren’t doing anything wrong, some of these hobbies just take longer to complete than others, this one is tricky to complete in the time limit, it seems you have just been really unlucky with this! I would like to know whether the first Latin Villa I build after completing the Salsa Dancing hobby is really free? You say that in an update above, but in the comments I rather gain the impression that you still have to buy it for this really high price mentioned several times. Just want to know whether it’s worth completeting the hobby in the time limit. If I still had to pay that expensive price I wouldn’t find it worth it…
