The Sims Freeplay- Bingo Hall

During the Seniors Quest you build the bingo hall, this post explains how you use it.
The bingo hall can be found on the mysterious island, it is a bit like the Competition Center, you cannot enter the bingo hall building but you send a sim there for 24 hours and they have a chance of winning S15,000!

To use the bingo hall:

1.Click on the bingo hall and a pop up will appear saying the prize is S15,000 if your sim wins, click select sim:

2.Only senior sims can play bingo, if they are busy the option will be greyed out, click on the sim you want to play bingo:

3.Your sim will be playing bingo for 24 hours, during this time they cannot do anything else and you cannot visit them:

4.Once the time is up you will need to go back to the bingo hall and it will tell you the results of the bingo contest:

You may lose:

but you could win:

Previously when I entered I never won but now it looks like they have increased the odds of winning!

Is it worth it? I rarely use the bingo hall, it is a good way to make a few extra simoleons but there is a chance you won’t win and it does mean your sim cannot do anything else for a whole day.

The Sims Freeplay- Community Center

You will build the community center during the Multi Story Renovations quest.

This building is two floors so you need to click on the floor button at the side of the screen to look upstairs:

Ground Floor:

community-center-ground-floor

First Floor:

community-center-first-floor

Ground Floor:

On the right hand side of the ground floor there is an area for your preteen sims to complete the Ballet hobby using the record player and the ballet barre.

On the left hand side of the ground floor there is an area for your preteen sims to complete the Karate hobby using the sparring dummy and the wooden karate boards.

Why doesn’t ballet or karate show up with a collection in the hobby tab?

They do not show up because you don’t unlock a collectible each time you complete the hobby, you only get rewards when you level up for the first time (these can be found in the ballet and karate posts) You will receive no other rewards.

There are also toilets, a coffee machine and a sandpit (for toddlers)

And there is also a bench and a lot of chairs around the community center!

First Floor:

The whole of the first floor of the community center is for the Woodworking hobby. On the right of the upstairs there are 3 woodworking benches (you can buy more from the promotions r us store to place in your sims houses) and on the left is pipework that is used for the minigame of catching the dolls in this hobby.
How do I catch a doll when completing woodworking at the community center?

imageThe doll will run to the pipes on the machinery to the left of the screen- your sim will rush to a window. You need to get the doll to the window your sim is at, if it is going the wrong way you can tap on it to change the dolls direction (if you do it at home you don’t need to chase the dolls!)

Once the doll is running towards the window where your sim is- stop tapping, your sim will catch the doll and you will receive the item for your collection!

Outside the community center:

Once you complete the Bird Feeding Quest you will find the Bird Feeding bench at the entrance to the community center so your senior sims can complete the Bird Feeding hobby:

You will only be able to find the third row of birds for the hobby at the community center, go to the other locations to find the other birds:

Why can’t I build the community center yet?

You cannot build the community center until you reach the goal in the Multi Story Renovations quest to build it.

Thanks for reading!

The Sims Freeplay- Tropical Romance Island Community Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER!

ONCE THE 14 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO BUILD ANY AREAS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore fruit or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

This is the second time this community event has been available, it is only here for 14 days and the aim of it is to collect enough fruit from special new plants (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock the Tropical Romance Island and build all the places on the island.

If you completed it last time you will not get this again as you have already unlocked all the prizes. If you started it last time but didn’t complete it you will start from where you got to, so you will only have to collect enough resources to build the places you have left.

The community part of this event is, the fruit everyone collects (you do not need neighbours this is everyone who plays the games progress) is added together and we unlock new items when we have collected so much

There are a few goals to complete first that show you how this event works:

Plant a banana tree (find the banana tree in the events tab of buy mode and place in one of your sims gardens- first one is free)
Collect some fruit- 12 seconds (click on banana tree)

This will take you to the personal progress tab in the island event progress button that can be found in the corner of the screen:image
Here you will see you have unlocked the island ticket!

Buy tropical romance island ticket- go back to the personal progress tab and click purchase on the island ticket
Visit the tropical romance island (click on the boat in simtown and select tropical romance island)

NOTE: you will see two destinations on the boat, if the Magical Rainforest is locked then you will have to wait for them to bring that community event back again before you can go there but you can still access the Tropical Romance Island for this event!

Use the event spin flower (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin flower option, the first time is free, after that it will cost you 450 bananas)

Check the community progress (click on the island event button and find the community tab)

Check the daily goals (click on the island event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the fruit appear above that sims head, click to collect bonus fruit!)

Continue collecting fruit- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting fruit to unlock everything on the island!

If you want to speed up a collecting fruit action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus fruit as well if you speed it up!

Daily Goals

NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coin and free bananas each day!

How do I claim or buy a prize to complete a daily goal?

You need to buy one of the personal progress items that you have unlocked (once you have all the flowers and constructor coins needed for it you can click purchase) or on a community prize you click claim to complete this

TIP: if you have already claimed or brought a prize that day maybe wait until the next just incase you don’t have enough fruit or coins to buy or there isn’t one to claim the next day, this way you will still be able to complete all the goals and earn your bonus constructor coins!

Personal Progress

The personal progress is how far you have got on this event, the more fruit you collect the more places on the tropical island you can unlock and build.

NOTE: the bar at the top of the personal progress tab shows you how close you are to unlocking an item, the more fruit you collect the more the bar will fill up. Once you have unlocked an item on the bar at the top you will be able to use the fruit you have collected and constructor coins to purchase that place on the tropical romance island.

Personal Progress Items and Places to unlock by collecting fruit

Some pictures and information are from the previous time this event was available, I will be updating as I unlock each item

NOTE: when you build a place on the island it will take the fruit required as currency (for example if 4000 bananas are required, they can only be used one so will be removed from your inventory, you will need to earn more bananas to build the next place)

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Community Progress prizes

Coin Flower Patch

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 bananas on the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare bananas) which will earn you constructor coins but you will earn less than you earn using the Mega Spin Plant

Once the event is over you will earn simoleons for any resources you have left over:

The Sims Freeplay- Ageing UPDATE!

LAST UPDATED APRIL 2020

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest your sims will begin to age automatically. Previously once the circle that appears around their face was full and red you needed to either age them to the next life stage or use LP to reverse them back to the beginning of the life stage they are currently at.

For example, if your adult sim was ready to age you would have had to make them a senior for free or use LP to reverse them back to the beginning of their adult stage.

Now, instead of costing LP you can reverse your sims back to the beginning of their life stage for FREE!

How does it work? To reverse their age all you need to do is wait until their time is up and the birthday cake appears above their head. Click on the birthday cake and the growing older pop up will appear, just click no if you do not want them to age. It will then ask you if you are sure you want to reset them to the beginning of that life stage, click yes if you do. Once you click yes the circle around their face on the simtracker will be empty ready for them to start ageing again!
This change is a great move as I know a lot of people were using far too many LP to keep their sims at the age they currently are- mostly so they can complete events! Although it does sort of make earning platinum orbs to pause your sims at their current life stage a bit pointless!

How many times can you reverse them? You can do this as many times as you want!

How long does a sim last in each stage before they automatically age?

  • Baby- 5 days
  • Toddler- 7 days
  • Preteen- 8 days
  • Teen- 12 days
  • Adult- 24 days
  • Senior- 9 days

A sim will only age when you are on the game and these times do not mean your sim will age after its been that many days, they need to do the amount of actions that add up to that many days first.

NOTE: You can still reverse your sim for free in 2020

The Sims Freeplay- Impossible Events Aren’t Fun!

I was desperate to get the French Chateau and even though I played day and night I still was unable to complete it in the time limit 😦 I’ve noticed this has been a pattern for some time now; I couldn’t complete the Christmas event, I couldn’t complete the Ice Sculpture event, I couldn’t complete the Aerobics event but I have not changed how I play the game!

And I am not the only one who has noticed this. Holly on the French Romance Event:screenshot-2017-02-12-at-15-56-04

I need 184 social points to buy the requirements for one last pack to complete this event, do I have that many? Not a chance! Maybe if they didn’t up the price of the social point flower to 20LPs from 5 I would have used my LPs on that but that is no longer fair..

BUT I am happy you can now pause the ageing of your sims for free so you don’t end up losing all your sims during these events (I really hope this feature is sticking around!) Explained here

The Aerobics event is probably the worst one so far- that was completely impossible! (something to look forward to if you haven’t done this one yet!) You have 7 days to firstly reach level 6 in the hobby to be able to complete it AND also complete the collection 7 times in those 7 days?! I know most people had a similar experience to me with this one, I managed to complete it twice but only because I used a lucky spin to get the level 6 one I needed while my sim was still on level 5. It took 6 days to reach level 6 so I basically had one day to complete the collection 7 times! I’m not a big fan of hobby events as soon as you unlock a new hobby but at least on previous ones we only had to complete the collection once in the time as well as level up which was manageable.

Jenn on the Aerobics hobby:screenshot-2017-02-12-at-15-53-59

I know it comes down to making money at the end of the day which they need to do but I think spending money should make it easier to complete, not make it possible! I can’t afford to spend a lot of money on this game- I am a poor student after all! £5 for Laura Craft?! I wish I had £5 to spend on lunch!

And yes I also know they bring these events back but the game stops being enjoyable when you fail every event- is there any point in trying when the odds are against you?

What do you all think?
