QUEST IS COMPLETE!
If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the sink, towel rack and 10 fashion gems:
The Backyard Beautification Live Event is back again for 9 days on the 7th August, complete in the 9 day time limit to unlock furniture, decor and planters for your sims gardens! If you completed this event last time it was available you will not get it again, if you started it last time but didn’t complete it you will start from where you got to last time, for example if you only had one prize pack left to buy you will only have to collect enough resources to buy that prize pack to complete the event.
NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event
Can’t find your arts and crafts stations?Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!
Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)
Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds
This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the planter event button in the corner of the screen)
Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the Plantable Rose Starter Kit! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!
Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SP or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time
Buy the Plantable Rose Starter Kit pack (click on the planter event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)
Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)
Check the daily goals (click on the drinks event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)
Remember to claim your rewards each day!
Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)
Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!
If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SP, you will get the bonus arts and craft items as well if you speed it up!

20.Social Points
21.Constructor Coins
22. Designer Backyard
You will only unlock the designer backyard if you manage to buy all the other prizes in the time limit, the first one built is free after that they will cost simoleons.
What is the difference between the standard and premium residence? The house is exactly the same, the only difference is the garden:
Personally I don’t like this house template, if you want to unlock items from some previous events then you can find loads of them in this house but I think I will just be building my own! This house is also the same as the Brilliant Backyard house template so if you completed that live event you already have this house, the only thing that is different is the garden.
Earning Constructor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LP, I can then turn the LP into SP using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LP- the social point plant now costs 20LP so you may want to try the option below first instead:
Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant
What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500
Now on the coin flower patch you can see the chances of getting the different combinations on each spin plant, click on the green i button to see:
Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles, 300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.
Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future. I personally don’t ever buy her, if I don’t manage to earn enough items or coins in the time limit I just wait until the next time the event is available!
If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.
How does it work? The host of the show Patty Cakes will guide your sims through the event which you can start if one is available from the ‘activities’ tab in the event button in the top right of the screen or by clicking on the baking station in Parkside:
Your sim will bake over several rounds against their opponent, a professional chef, the more skilled the opponent the more rounds there are in a challenge. Your sim needs to click the ‘Bake it!’ option on the baking station in Parkside, when they do this they will either succeed or fail (similar to risky actions) For each round they win they will add rewards to their prize basket.
If they succeed, the rewards from that round are added to their prize basket and the challenge continues or you can choose to collect the content of their prize basket and end their run (earning you the prizes)
TIP: You don’t always have to try and make it to the end of a challenge, you can play it safe and end their run to get the content of the prize basket rather than losing it on your next attempt
If they fail, they get the option to either take a consolation prize or ask for Patty’s help to fix their dessert (which costs simcash, the amount varies depending on which round you fail on) If Patty fixes the dessert your sim can continue the challenge.
Can I see if they are likely to succeed or not?Yes, at the bottom of your screen while completing the challenge you will see your success chance, you will also see this when you click Bake it!:
How often can I do the Sweet Treat Challenge? You can store up 3 attempts which means you can do 3 challenges in a row (if you succeed on a round you continue, if you fail this counts as an attempt so if you failed 3 times in a row you will need to wait) and then you will have to wait 8 hours for another attempt.
How can I improve my chances of winning a round? Your sims can complete prep actions around the bakery location, these will show how much they will boost your chance of success, you can complete these actions until you are confident to attempt the ‘Bake it!’ option.
Other prep actions give rewards such as Sweet Treat Tokens, Royal Treat Tokens, Fashion Gems, Life Tickets or Simoleons- these rewards can’t be claimed right away though, these will go into your prize basket so you have to win a challenge or claim them after a round.
What are sugar cubes for? Sugar cubes are like energy, these are required for the prep actions. Your sim gets a full bar of sugar cubes at the beginning of each challenge but it doesn’t refill over time or at the start of a round. You can purchase more sugar cubes for simcash and some prep actions award sugar cubes.
How do I collect the rewards from my prize basket? The contents of your prize basket can be claimed by winning a round and select ‘collect and quit’ or you will automatically claim the prize basket if you win the final round of a challenge.
What do I spend my prize basket tokens on?You can buy prize boxes with these, there are two prizes boxes the Sweet Treat Box or Royal Treat Box, you can find these in the rewards tab of the event button:
How do I open the prize boxes in the Sweet Treat Showdown? There are two prize boxes the Sweet Treat Box which can be opened with Sweet Treat Tokens and there are a certain amount of prizes to collect and the Royal Treat Box which can be opened with Royal Treat Tokens, there are a certain amount prizes to collect from that box (the amount of tokens needed to open the boxes and amount of prizes available varies depending on each event):
Can I get duplicates from the prize boxes? No these boxes don’t give duplicates (yay!) so once you have a prize you won’t get it again- you can also buy multiples from buy mode once unlocked
How do I earn Sweet Treat Tokens and Royal Treat Tokens? You can earn these by completing the Sweet Treat Challenge or other events in the ‘activities’ tab of the Sweet Treat Showdown screen (button in the top right)
How do I earn the grand prize? You can earn the grand prize once you have earned all the prizes within the Sweet Treat and Royal Treat Boxes (you can see your progress on the Sweet Treat Showdown screen)
I don’t want to finish a Sweet Treat Challenge how do I stop it?If you click on the ‘view’ button next to your sims picture you will see the option to forfeit so you will earn the consolation prize. I would suggest you just click ‘Bake it!’ as you might win and be able to collect your prize basket but if you fail you still get the consolation prize:
Recent Changes:
You can now purchase the Pro Ticket for real money every time there is a new Sweet Treat Event:
Comes with access to the Pro Mixer which has ‘better actions’ but only on rounds 1,3,5,7,9,10 (so you can earn more % and tokens than the normal actions)
You will get 6 extra sugar cubes for each challenge (so 36 in total)- if you purchase mid challenge you will get an automatic refill
Stores up to 6 attempts (so you can complete 6 challenges in a row)- if you purchase mid challenge you will get an automatic refill
Get 25 Royal Treat Tokens and 1,200 Sweet Treat Tokens extra
This only lasts for one Sweet Treat Event so if you wanted these perks every time you would have to purchase it each time a new event becomes available.
You can now watch adverts using the knife block on the sweet treat bench:
Watching adverts can:
Give you extra rewards in your prize basket
Give you an extra chance in that round
You can only watch one advert per round but they seem to appear every round
Firstly sorry that it has taken so long to make this post, as you probably know it takes a very long time to upgrade all the monuments! In this post I will be covering the resources needed to upgrade each monument on the Mysterious Island (including the cost to buy them with LP) what each upgrade looks like and also what happens when all your monuments have been upgraded.
What are the monuments and what level do I unlock them?
A pop up will appear when you have enough resources to upgrade a monument, once you do head to the mysterious island, click on the monument and click ‘upgrade now’:
How long does it take to upgrade when you click ‘upgrade now’?
The upgrade is instant
Where do I find the resources needed to upgrade the monuments?
Your sims will receive these randomly when they complete actions, you will see the resource symbol appear above their head when they earn one:
Some resources are rarer than others so it will take you longer to find:
Gold (The Riches of Terra)
Magma Embers (The Flames of Wisdom)
Essence of Wind (The Tempest of Bliss)
Pearl (The Springs of Fortune)
Your sims will still earn these at random but they will find them less than the other 8 resources:
Pickaxe and Granite (The Riches of Terra)
Igneous Rock and Bronze (The Flames of Wisdom)
Onyx and Bamboo (The Tempest of Bliss)
Limestone and Chisel (The Springs of Fortune)
I can’t find a resource, what should I do?
You could use LP to buy a resource if you are stuck, each resource you need will cost 3LP so if you need 2 Gold then it will cost you 6LP (the tables below show how many LP you would need to buy every resource) However I would suggest you keep reading first to see if it is really worth spending all your LP on!
What is the point of upgrading the monuments?
Upgrading the monuments earns you a bonus or perk which is different for each monument:
The Riches of Terra- simoleon bonus when gardening, baking and working
The Flames of Wisdom- bonus XP after using objects, gardening, baking and working
The Tempest of Bliss- decreases rate in which sims motives drain (their needs bars don’t decrease as quickly so they stay happier for longer)
The Springs of Fortune- increases chance of getting XP and simoleon bonuses from Riches of Terra and Flames of Wisdom
The bonuses are given randomly when you complete actions (it will appear above your sims head or on the pop up when they finish work) so you won’t get them for everything your sims do but the more you upgrade the monuments the higher the bonus and the more often you will receive it (especially when you start upgrading the Springs of Fortune)
How many resources do I need for each upgrade and what do I get when I upgrade them?
The Riches of Terra:unlocks at level 10
simoleon bonus when gardening, baking and working
The LP amounts in the table below show how much it would cost to buy the resources with LP (it costs 3LP for each resource needed)
Visual Upgrade is when the monument looks different (see the picture above to see how it changes as it is upgraded) and Houseboat Unlocked is when you unlock a houseboat plot so your sims can live on a boat!
bonus XP after using objects, gardening, baking and working

What happens when you upgrade all the monuments to level 25? When you reach level 25 you unlock the Volcano which is really disappointing, all you get when the volcano ‘erupts’ every 24 hours is S750 and 500XP:
Do I need to upgrade the monuments past level 25? You don’t need to as level 25 is when you unlock the volcano but all the monuments can reach level 70, upgrading them to this level gives you the highest perk which means:
You could earn 625 bonus simoleons when your sims complete actions (The Riches of Terra)
You could earn 575 bonus XP when your sims complete actions (The Flames of Wisdom)
The rate your sims motives decrease would be 57.5% (The Tempest of Bliss)
Your chance of earning bonus simoleons and XP from The Riches of Terra and The Flames of Wisdom when your sims complete actions increases by 164% (The Springs of Fortune)
The patch notes for the first Firemonkeys Sims Mobile update are here, these explain what is happening in the Quality of Life Update that is released on the 6th June.
The link to the post is here but you can also read it below with a few of my thoughts added:
Sul, sul!
You’ve asked, Sims Mobile fans, and we have heard you! Our Quality Of Life Update goes live today [6th June]– YAY! Everyone on The Sims Mobile team here at Firemonkeys Studio was absolutely thrilled to hear how excited you all were to get this one in your hands!
[I am beyond excited for this one!!]
Here are the full patch notes of the changes we have made:
Wumples’ Quests
Wumples, the sassiest Sim in the land, has arrived in town with all-new special quests. [Wumples will be dropping in from The Sims Freeplay very soon to see what all the fuss is about in The Sims Mobile!] Each quest will come with new and exciting prizes, and prizes earned from these quests will unlock multiples of that item – which means you can purchase extra copies of the item for your Sims’ homes.
[I am really glad that we will be able to purchase more of these items rather than just unlocking one of them, you really cannot decorate with only one of some items!]
Storage Categories
Brand-new Storage Categories allow you to browse everything you own with ease! We’ve added sorting categories to Storage, which means items will be much easier to find, and recently used or earned items will appear in a special ‘recent’ category!
[I cannot wait to build now! You will be able to see the last 20 items you have unlocked in this tab]
New quest for 3rd Sim slot unlock
Expand your Sim family by adding a third Sim to your posse! You now have an extra chance to unlock your third Sim with the new quest “Roommate Race”. Complete the quest and unlock the third Sim slot. The quest is available at player level 13.
Surprising choices adjustments
We made some adjustments to Surprising Choices to ensure there’s always a neutral option available, and removed some of the outcomes that have drawbacks.
[I really hate the surprising choices so this is good news, it will be great to see some neutral options so we can just close it and get on with the game]
LlamaZoom adjustments
We made a variety of tuning adjustments to the LlamaZoom system to make it more enjoyable:
The amount of tasks required by LlamaZoom has been reduced for high level players. This change affects players from approximately level 35 and up – with level 50 players receiving the largest reduction
The effort required to complete a LlamaZoom is now less variable. Previously each LlamaZoom could differ quite largely in effort required – they are now more consistent and predictable
Any stack of tasks will now always begin with a task that asks for events to be complete (say that five times fast!). This is to help those of you who enjoy preparing for LlamaZoom by having Sims do events before Emily arrives
Rewards have been rebalanced – including extra Simoleons upon completion. The rewards have been increased overall.
Hobby and Relationship rewards
The amount of Simoleons awarded from Hobbies and Relationships has been increased. The rewards are more on-par with Career rewards now.
[It is great that the rewards are finally going to be similar to what you get from careers]
Event Duration Surfacing
Events now clearly showcase the exact duration that they will take to complete. Now you can plan your Sims’ routine more easily.
[I believe this means that we will be able to see a timer for events now but I am not really sure!]
Create-a-Sim variant pricing
Clothes and other items within Create-a-Sim have had their variants re-priced. All variants of an item will now share the same price, rather than varying from each other.
[This does make a lot of sense, why were they different prices for the same item just in a different colour?]
Photography and Influencer [Internet Icon] Quests
These two quests have been added to the level progression. You now have the opportunity to play the Photography quest once you reach level 8, and the Internet Icon quest when you reach level 15. These quests will trigger retroactively for those of you who are already above these levels
[I am planning on creating posts and videos for these as soon as possible, I never received the photography quest as I brought the heirloom before the quest was included in the game so I will be completing both of these on my second game when I get the chance- I know I have an internet icon post but it is really out of date!]
Some quests are now structured in Chapters
The first chapter begins unlocked
Each day a new chapter will become unlocked
Chapters will continue to unlock, even if you haven’t finished the previous one
The goal is to give players a chance to take a break and not need to go “full speed” from day one until the end of the quest
[So if you are behind then you won’t have to wait, you will go straight onto the next chapter once the previous chapter is complete. The Roommate Race is a good example of this, read my quest post here to see how chapters work]
Heirloom Shelves
The maximum number of heirloom shelves has been increased from 3 to 6
[I don’t think there needs to be a limit at all but at least this is progress!]
Aaaaaaand that’s a wrap on this update! Download it now! ❤
Until next time, enjoy Simmers!
