This is a list of things that Sims Freeplay players would like to see in future updates, if you would like to add something to this list please read it first before posting the same suggestions then leave a comment below!
Opening game
Stop the bombardment of pop ups when you open the game:
- Stop saying when bingo and competitions are on, they are always on
- List everyone who has to go to work or has finished work together so we don’t have to click on several different pop ups
Sims
- More outfits/ clothes/ shoes:
-“because it seems like everytime I get more outfits from completing a quest in the time limit or something it’s just outfits that they deleted from the game in the past”
-Bring back some of the clothes you took away from adults but gave to teens
- More hairstyles:
-‘better hair styles like longer hairstyles and Katniss hair.’ Not just by completing the quest!
- Be able to have more than 4 sims living in one house.
- Be able to have more than 10 sims in one place
- Maybe make sims be attracted to other people like when they see someone they like they have a heart bubble over their head
- Different sizes and body shapes
- Different heights
PregnancyDONE!– maybe even with twins?Different range of face shapesDONE!- More personalities
- Sim limits should be per level as you get higher up the game
Higher Sim limitDONE!- Ability for Sims to talk with others while sitting down

- Interact the way they should ‘Like if two sims are married they should randomly kiss or when their both sleeping in one bed, they should snuggle or something’
Sims should change into PJs when they get into bedDONE!Sleep underneath the sheetsDONE!- Add ability to meet all needs in less than a minute in each of the community lots so you don’t have to send them home to inspire them. For example, it should be simple to add “wash hands” as an option to public restrooms and “eat snack” to the vending machines without having to add additional items.
- It would be nice to have some tasks that take longer than 1 minute when doing relationship building. Maybe something like “have heart to heart talk” that takes 5 or 10 minutes.
- Your sims should have the option to woohoo FOR BABY then the woman would get pregnant as a result of that(or it could sometimes be unsuccessful to make game more interesting, like the sims 3)
More things for teenagers and preteens to do:
- Teenagers and preteens should be able to babysit (so adults can go to work)
- Teenagers should be able to have jobs, maybe at the supermarket
- More things for preteens to do. Toys for them to play with, etc. Why does the spaceship just sit there, why can’t my preteen play with it? Why can’t they play with some of the toddler toys the way they can use the swimming pool?
- Preteens/ teens work at a hourse riding studio
Let more than one sim play the teen idol instruments.DONE!- Stop preteens skipping.
- There should be the ability for a preteen to be able to carry her/his sibling(etc, a baby or toddler) under supervision of an adult
- Preteens should be able to be romantic to teens and other preteens!
- Be able to play video games on TV
Toddlers:
- Letting the toddlers play together with toys, at the sandpit in the community centre.

- More ways to earn money because just planting and baking seem… unrealistic. Part time jobs? In real life, we usually do part-time jobs such as working at a library/restaurant/salon… or babysitting, writing novel…
- Timings to be more realistic, not take so long to do things forcing you to use LP’s.
- The building times and prices go up far too steeply between levels, change this as I feel it would keep people more interested in the game.
- Easier ways to earn money
Actions
- I want to be able to queue actions. By that I mean some things have to be done at certain times. Mainly sims job start times. That conflict with real life schedules. I want to be able to tell it to send my sim to work at that time when I am able to play the night before or what not. But this can also be a do this now and then this after. Like how the PC game we could queue 5 or 6 tasks. That would be beneficial for short tasks such as needs maintenance.
- Minigames ‘For example for the store we could bag groceries or for school do simple math problems like two plus two or five minus three. For the club we could mix drinks. For the stadium we could play a game of soccer or something. Just to name a few. These could be optional like a window would pop if u wanted to play or not. Or a seperate bubble for the minigames. The prizes could be mostly money but occasionally lifepoints.’
- I’d like to see that when you different actions with the same appliance that it looks different. For example when it you select the microwave to do pot noodles the sim sits and eats what looks like a hamburger! Exactly the same as if you select microwave hot snack! shouldn’t be like this!!
- More realistic book reading times
- Able to have a party and decorate house
- Able to keep a photo album in the game (like in deluxe sims)
Quests
Houses or items as goals to work towards when doing weekly quests/tasksDONE!
- During the tutorial stage of the game there are some aspects of the game that go untouched after it is over. I can’t quite put my finger on what is missing other than inter-sim relationship building.
- When you get a goal that says something like ‘go fishing at the park’ you should be able to click on the goal and go straight to the park (will be helpful for those of us whose game crashes on the town map)
New quests:
- Driving instructor
- Hobby tasks, this should be like social tasks line no time limit to finish a variety of tasks associated with hobbies and mixed up such that it doesn’t feel too repetitive.

I wish you could see how many xp before leveling up. Like 500 earned out of 1,000 needed.DONE!

- More special content unlocked through hobbies (a way to add that extra customization). I do like getting LPs, obviously, but maybe if it alternated every collection, one earns LPs then the next gets a new set of furniture or clothes.
- More than one hobby for each sim

Gardening and Baking
- Make the later-unlocked veggies and baked goods make sense. It’s been a while since I unlocked anything that’s actually a better deal than the ones I already had.
- Stop the sit and wait mode, e.g. do some short stuff for 5 minutes give or take then this big long wait for 24hr give or take. And with all those other sims left there is basically just farming to do. Which makes me feel like there is no more to the game than that. Seeing as this is a quest/goal oriented game perhaps the solution to this area is more simultaneous quests/goals (without more simultaneous time limits). I’m in a farming cycle or get to next long task and put all my sims to work farming until that long task is done. So that I’m only popping in game for 1 minute give or take to set sims on 2-9 hours at a time farming until long task is complete. Rinse an repeat.
- cakes less expensive to bake.
- Plants should constantly regrow- like in real life so you can go away for a few days, even weeks, it would be fine cos you’d always have something growing so it will always be ready to harvest.
Buildings
- No dead zone buildings like schools work etc. all buildings can be visited.
- The supermarket should be given the ability to give you the items straight away, instead of waiting for instance 1 day for a birthday cake, this would help with tasks and growing up.
- I think that it would be great if Fire Monkey and EA added colleges so that adults/ teens can work on their careers/hobbies. Their could be three different colleges: 1 star (costs less money but the sims get a better education,) 2 star (costs more money than 1 star and a better education,) 3 star (most expensive but best education.) The better the education, higher tour skill level goes up each time you go to college. You could go to college for your personality (I haven’t done the quest that unlocks the orbs yet so I am not to familiar with how that works) or for your hobby or even where you work. At some work places, you should be required to have a college education.
New places:
–A horse stable DONE!
-A zoo (where you can work and pay to visit!! That could be a whole task in itself to put on the island!)
–Have a restaurant as we have a nightclub but no other social establishments. DONE!
-A nursery for toddlers to go to like school they earn the town money
-Icons on town map for player generated public spaces, a museum?
-Church and decorations to buy for houses, e.g. crosses
-The survey they did mentioned a Harry Potter-like area with magical careers and hobbies. I’m all for that!
-An airport
New worlds: Maybe magic, alien, or supernatural? (like in other sim games!)
Social Points and Neighbours
- Get rid of social points or make them easier to earn
- Message board when you visit a neighbour
- More than one sim being able to visit another neighbourhood
- The ability for sims to go on holiday to another sims world and for the other person to be able to interact with you
- Stop all sims looking depressed when you visit another town, there is no point to this
- The GIVEN neighborhood, Another Sim Town ought to be set up with most if not all things in case a person playing doesn’t know others or didn’t want to connect with facebook or game center or not want to add strangers
- Be able to connect via twitter or just online (for those who don’t play on an apple product facebook is their only option- some people don’t have facebook or any friends who play)
Life Points
- Free LPs for every achievement unlocked
- More activities to generate LPs
- Earn LP for babysitting
- Easier to earn LPs
Fixes to life dreams and legacies update:
Stop automatic ageing- “I want to be able to decide myself when my sims should age/die.”DONE! (can reverse their age for free)
- Longer ageing time
- Faster ways to complete the life dreams and upgrade life orbs because it takes forever
Stop the grim reaper from following our sims around, why can’t he just appear at the end?DONE!
- Option to stop a sim’s aging indefinitely for a reasonable # of LPs (5 or 10? Even 20 would be ok, just not an orb that requires killing off several sims to get.)
Make life dreams easier to achieve (go up by more than 0.something%)DONE!
- Make life dreams all with exact options (for example, don’t just say ‘go snowboarding’ but instead do ‘tricks til tomorrow’)
- Make age stages longer so we are able to get further in jobs and hobbies
- We need a graveyard or urn when a sim dies, they can’t just leave nothing behind.
- Have life dreams achieved by doing variety of things, e.g all sporty actions should increase the life dreams %
- Adult sims should be able to get higher than a silver orb, don’t say they have completed their life dream- what about trying to get a gold or platinum? If they have time to do it, why not let them!?
- family tree- remember the departed
- Go up in years maybe, not stages of life?
Store
- Specials, half price sales on simoleon/LP packs.
- Fix bugs with store

There is only one thing I REALLY, REALLY want: a way to disable the automatic aging. I would like to update my game, but I can’t, because I don’t want my sims to age.
You can update, just don’t do the quest. That’s what I’m doing – letting the quest sit there untouched until I see if they fix this mess in the next update.
None of it matters because your sims die. This game is ruined!

Also scrolling through 30 life dreams of senior sims that look alike takes forever. So a simtracker page that gives all the info for the currently selected Sim- career, hobby, dream

I always want a cross in the store so I could build a house whose I’d be use for a church. And let senior do the auction job, so it would be like the senior is the priest. You know they’re already gave us wedding dress, but without priest and church, they won’t be fit. Honestly I already built a church like house, but it’s full only with christmas decorations, not church one. They already gave us buddha statue, so why not cross and jesus decoration added. It’s weird to have western style wedding dress but married in a buddhist temple. And yeah, stop those ageing updates. I quit doing task before enter life dream quest and currently don’t get affected yet, but still, it’s quite disturbing for me, that I can’t get the next update items and locations.

I prefer the game stay as secular as possible. I don’t want to dig past torture devices in the store. If they add a cross, would they add a noose or guillotine?
Nothing religious, please. Not everybody’s Christian. I’m an athiest, and I would not like to see religious items in the home store, or even a church on the map. Save your religious practices for real life.

I really agree with everything you have stated here. It’s really annoying to have my sims aging…and there is just not enough time to get them to finish their life dreams, that’s all they doing. Takes all the fun out of the game. And I knew all my sims and each one had their own life which is great… Right now they all old and waiting for them to pass on and hopefully another update will come and this aging will be gone.

Honestly I would like to see no more automatic aging and something more for the babies. High chairs, walkers, crawling, etc something so they aren’t just laying in the crib all day. A baby/toddler nursery or daycare would be awesome.
I have left some comments on your blog before and I think your blog is GREAT! I am so glad to see that you have poled us the fans and told EA DIRECTLY what we ALL think of this latest Update Life Dreams & Legacies. Let’s face it – most of us are women who play this game (I myself am disabled & to me my “Sim World” is a way to escape my depression) so a lot of us are home most of the day & this is a way to relax & get away from the worries of the world. So – WHY on earth would we want to have to face death & dying by losing our Sim Families on our favorite game? That is crazy & I am sure that if most of us who did this quest KNEW that this was going to be the outcome – we wouldn’t have even have done it at all! Luckily I found this website (thegirlwhogames) looking to find out where the Age Machine was & luckily read all the horrible things that would happen to my Sims by doing this quest. I immediately stopped the quest at 24% & hoped it would go away but saw the “rings of death” around my Sims heads & my heart dropped. I immediately stopped the quest & haven’t played the game since (afraid if I have my Sims do ANY actions that they will start to die) 😦 I was a daily player. :.( I miss playing it (I was a lvl 32) but I’m not going to play it anymore UNLESS EA tells us how to DELETE the quest & I can go on playing it “without” my Sims dying. I was very happy with the game the way it was & won’t play it any other way. My Sim town was my virtual “Family” & I don’t want to lose ANY member of it. Each one of my Sims represents a member of my real life family (including 2 seniors who are named after my mother & father-in-law) and WHO would want them to die or have to kill them off to save another family member? I’m sorry, maybe some people take games lightly like a shooting game but this is not one of those. To a lot of us who play this game it’s a virtual world with a virtual family that we get attached to after playing with them for months or years. Laura

I love that you actually have this list to EA, and they responded! I’m sad that I missed the initial list because I had a thought or two if my own for ideas ;(. Granted I’m only level 18 I still thought of some ways they could improve the game, along with what everybody said above in the list (it’s amazing what you all thought of). It’s also good to know what quests lie ahead of me and I know when to start some actions to get the “prize” at the end of quests. Thanks “girlwhogames”!

Great List!!! Just like how sims’ clothes are removed when they enter the pool, I’d like it if the sims changed into nightwear when they get into bed. It would also be really cool if they were be able to get underneath the sheets too.

Also I like the idea of paying 5lp for a baby and auto aging to a toddler, pre-teen, and maybe Teenager, they should let is pick at pre-teen. But we should have the choice up to teenager and beyond. The price of 5 LP to “life up” is too much

That seems like that fixes a lot of the problems people have said to have, but I’m still only at multi-story quest. I’m level 19 but the building costs a freakin $200,000 so I’m still trying to get that far. I’m talking about the early players who want to start families, baby cost and cake costs should be reduced. Probably would have helped if I said that earlier…
They will never reduce the cake costs, they must make loads on people needing LPs to age their sims
Yea, and then they make more for people trying to stop aging. I can see why they added auto-aging.
I think the time goes too slow. Maybe if the game went faster than real time we could play the game more and not get bored

I agree with all of these!! And I have some more suggestions. 1. (Someone already said this, so I’ll add to it) Give Sims PJs! And when you click on a wardrobe have an option to change Sims into their PJs, and have them automatically change into PJs when they go to bed. Also give us different PJs (not all the same for every Sim). 2. (Already said) Have Sims get under the covers when they sleep in a bed! 3. Have Sims actually take off their clothes when they shower/bathe. Why do they shower/bathe in their swimsuits?!! 4. Have Sims ‘Whoo Hoo’ on beds and in/on other places. Why do they just do it wherever they happen to be standing?!! 5. (Already said) More things for babies to do. Obviously babies can’t do much, but at least let them out of their cribs, I hate how they are always stuck in their cribs!
I agree maybe instead of when you go to bed they automatically change into there PJs at night (like when it gets dark?)
I have another suggestion: Be able to create more than one Sim at a time/be able to create a family (know what I mean?). And be able to create Sims of different ages.

I’m on level 24 and it still hasn’t come up yet. Did they move it up?
Have you completed all previous quests?
Oh and I also want to see more actions, for example rather than be romantic actual romantic options cause that can be annoying
And we also want babies without marriages, And woohoo being something that disturbs other sims if you do it jnfront of them

One major thing I’d love to see added to the home store: Rugs! Every other sim game had a wide variety of them, and they really tied the rooms together. Honestly, I don’t really play for the hobbies or careers or anything although I enjoy them. I play because I love creating and decorating the houses. And the addition of rugs would diversify the way homes could look even more.
I would also love to see more paint, floors, and definitely more art, because really it’s between the volcano painting or teen/preteen posters if we want anything to decorate the walls. Maybe even some home quests or an artist hobby to unlock new art/wallpaper/floors/etc? I’d be all about that.

I totally agree on the prices! I have to pay 100,000 simoleons for the stables and its HORRIBLE! It’s going to be even worse when I have to build the community center and swimming center! Please help EA!

Some of the things I would like to see is tree houses, or being able to pick up your baby, for preeteens and teens video games ( on the TV ), some of the buildings in options like you can pay in SP LP and simoleons ( I can’t get the night club ), and maybe you can actually drive the cars and collect money from them, and ( last one I blabber a lot lol ) Cameras! Some of these are a little unreasonable but seem kinda fun to me! Lol thx

I really like your ideas, EA should take notice of this, I have also some ideas that they can put like:
-maybe a sims can be pregnant with more that one baby
-You can dogs on a walk
-An airport to visit other sims
-Be able to carry a baby in a baby holder (so you don’t have to leave it at home alone)
-Able to have grandparents
-Able to make a party and decorate

I have a few ideas to add to the list!
Angled walls would be cool. You could make alcoves and things like that, or an octagon shaped house!
The ability to build a short fence with a gate to go in front of the house or around your garden.
I also put in a vote for balconies, that along with things like decks. More attractive outdoor furniture.
Cheaper cost of furniture and other placable items. Despite my greatest efforts, its rather harsh when you want to build a house for a new Sim but there’s no way to do so on a single Sims earnings. You need a great deal of money for even the simple things, and the cost going up as time goes on is fairly steep and unrealistic. I can understand having a tutorial price and then later a normal price but its pretty annoying.
You know how the houses have a timer on the town map? That green button you click to get the money and xp? Some way to not only make the time and revenue longer and more but also to maybe increase revenue but keep the same time would be cool. The first home timing out every minute for so cheap is slightly annoying. If every house had the same amount of time and revenue, it would be easier to collect (especially if smart people stagger it throughout the day or something.)
Shorter jobs would be nice too, and the option for your Sim to do more than one.
The ability to make your Sim fat or skinny would be cool.
Custom clothing, like in the Sims kingdom! If you’ve never played, it gives you a template white shirt which you can draw on and use stamps and things to create a shirt with your very own design! This would work well with the touch screen and would add a piece of customizing to the game (since the town already has a preset design)
This might open up possibilities for custom painting your house and other things like making a square of pattern and have it repeated on furniture!
Ability to make something like a family meal or coffee for two, set it on the table, then invite the intended partner over to share with. Family meals to increase the bonds between all family members at the same time.
Paintings are painted by you instead of your Sim, or you can use you phones photo gallery to make paintings.
You can actually go to all of the town map places. (Similar to when you have an empty house and are given the options to create Sim, move Sim, or view the space, you would have the option to shop at a store or go into the store with a Sim, where you would interact with a CPU Sim to purchase things and you could just do things there.
The option to choose how a rooms flooring is laid out. If you have a living room connected to the front door, you could have mostly carpet but have tile near the door. Same for other joint rooms like a children’s room with two kids, one side would be blue and the other would be pink, etc.
Outdoor flooring like flagstone and concrete to create a patio. The choices of gravel, grass, dirt, or other average outdoor flooring.
Fun things for the player. Dancing may be fun for a Sim, but it can be boring to watch. The option to play mini games and get extra money or lp by successfully doing the game would be fun. Mini games for things like cleaning and stuff would be cool too.
That’s all I can think of right now, but I’ve had these ideas forever and someone needs to hear them.
The adult stage is too long. I have three generations of sims all in the adult stage-weird! They should split it into at least two stages like “young adult” and “middle-aged”.
Also a lifelong happiness meter would be cool. Like every time you got promoted I your career or mastered a hobby or got married or had a baby the meter would go and other actions could bring it down too like having a nemesis or when a close sims dies. Then at the end of their life you could see if they had an overall happy life. You could be awarded LPs or life orbs would be even better (so sims that so many sims don’t have to die to build something) if your sim lived a happy life.
I would like if like everyone can get in the car and like if there devorced and they have kids they should say like pack up and get in the car and the take the sue case and get in the car
And for them to go in the market and really go shopping
i want balconies and i wish there with would be a simoleon and lp extractor in the home store. WHY DOES EA MAKE THE BEST EA GAME SO DIFFICULT TO PLAY!?

Toddler-1 month
Preteen- 1 month
Teen- 3 months
Adult-7 months
Senior-2 weeks
Sims freeplay should have like more fun places to go like in sims 3 and a apartments to buy and traveling!
Would be cool if you can create a family with kids, I don’t like to all ways get my sims to get married to have baby’s and to age infant into a toddler costs 5 lp!!! Adopting could be free…
there should be an adoption agency for free and the people come check out how you live and if we can write for the sims and like if there divorced there should be a thing like when you talk to the kids it should say time to vist and have an air port and aprtments you can rent and more then ten people in a place it should be how much you want and a daycare and to be able to have as many people in a house like not 4 liveing in one house like 10 people living there and to go on road trip and no more life orbs and to age when i want and cake should be like 10,00 silmons not lp and lp should be easir to get like do a daily spin but dont have to pay real money and to vist people in other places and they should knock on the door when some ones there and have like a news paper and when in the store you can really go in the store and get a shopping cart and walk around and i wanna be able to talk for the sims because i dont understand them so i wanna have the converstions for them thank you i have more ideas
What I would love to see:
-Sims being able to cry on the bed, standing up, sitting down, and to others.
-Sims being able to rock babies in the rocking chair.
-Police outfits.
-Sims pulling the computer chairs closer to the desk when they are using them.
-Seeing different things while watching TV.
-Make babies and toddlers heads smaller.
-Sims being able to do romance to other ages.
Having to click a button that says agree to use lp on this item, because I have accidentally hit the button to use lp on carrots.

I really want them to have woohoo and then have a baby instead of buying a baby for $6000 you really don’t do that in the real world unless you are adopted
I think that if they are in a bad mood that they should look crankey or the babys will cry while doing actions, like for example, your baby is crying and needs a diaper cange, rather than looking all happy while you cuddle them and stuff they will still be crying and look all cranky and stuff, and that you could woohoo on a bed or in a shower like in the sims 3

I would really like there to be a Theatre that the sims can visit, and have Broadway star/dancer be a job! I think its kind of sad that your preteen sims can only do dancing and after that they can’t anymore
So I agree with pretty much allll of these!!! But I still feel like toddlers need more to do, like if holy have ghostly items then toddlers can have nightmares
The new update for long hair is really exciting buut why is won by completeing fashion design, why not revamp the salon so we can have a hairdressing hobby and we have to use another sim to have the hairdressing sim practice on, cool?? I believe so!! I have so many ideas for Sims and its awesome to see all the other awesome ideas!! Id love to here your opinion on these update ideas girlwhogames!!! 🙂
I think that the hairstyles shouldn’t cost real money if you don’t complete it on time i think that they should at least cos a lot of simoleons or a few lps
To sit on the bed when watching tv in the bedroom instead of the floor
I’ve only been playing Sims Freeplay for a few weeks, so haven’t got too far yet- but I’m already rather upset at the idea of my Sims aging and dying outside of my control! I’m not at all happy about that- so that’d be my first ‘what I’d like to see’ feature: player choice to age Sims or let them die.
I used to play Sims Social on Facebook beofre it ended and there were some features on that which I’d like to see here, such as:
Sims undressing for bed as they do for showers etc.
Sims sleeping under the covers.
Woo-hoo in bed (I kind of assumed that they’d both make their way to the bedroom the first time a pair ‘woo-hooed’ as they did in Sims Social- and it was a surprise to see that they went for it right there out on the front lawn. (Shameless- the pair of them!!! 😀 ) The option to woo-hoo in the shower or bath was good, too.
Different romantic actions- in Sims Social, Sims in a romantic relationship could simply kiss, or ‘make out’ or ‘whisper sweet nothings’ – even recite poetry!
Better hairstyles- that long hair quest was a farce and it’s insulting not only to have to pay for a long hair style- but not even get to choose what style to have is appalling. I am NOT forking out real money for a random style- and certainly not when that real money is very nearly the same as buying around quarter of a million simoleons! If Sims Social, which was free, could provide a much bigger range of hairstyles (and lengths) as standard, I’m sure Sims Freeplay could.
I actually like this far more than Sims Social- but there is more of a sense of ‘out to make you part with your money’ with this game, which is a shame.
Same with me here! Why not a window pops out when we have to do the Legacies and Life dreams, warning us if we want to do the quest or not. We can finish this quest whenever we want. I deactivated my fb acc so please contact EA about this idea to choose if we want to do the quest or not. I also played other EA games which are fantastic but Sims Freeplay is special!
