If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the unicorn painting. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the stables and horses but you won’t get the painting

- Spot horses with a telescope- 5 minutes (buy from promotions r us)
- Go to the mystery island
- Spot the overgrown stables (tap on it)
- Call the mysterious number- 2 minutes
- Read a horse care manual- 9 hours 30 minutes
- Call the mysterious number again- 5 minutes
- Look up a locksmith on a computer- 8 minutes
- Build the stables- time and price varies (not enough money?)
- Send a sim to the stables
- Clean up mess in front of yard- 4 minutes
- Have 4 sims at the stables
- Clean up mess in yard with your sims (aged teens and up) (you need to repair the bathtub too) You can work on repairing all of these areas with more than one sim to complete quicker:
- Wild Grass= 30 seconds

Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to repair the stable (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)

Hi, it’s me again. 😊 I need help with the toddler life dreams. The last time I had this I just skipped over it but this time I want to know how to do it. The toddler wants to do some Serious on a Swing set but when I send the toddler there to do the task it says “action failed an adult is required to do this action”. I don’t understand why they have a swing set in the toddlers section and then a toddler can’t use it. I’m sure it a simple answer. Thanks for your help. 😃
You need an adult to be free too, they need to push the toddler on the swing

it helps if only the adult and toddler are in the house (or the others are busy) then make sure there is space behind the swing for the adult to stand then get the toddler to click on the swing and the adult should follow
there is only one swingset so you cant have the wrong one

Hello again! I just got the toddler to swing and I haven’t ever bought the swing set as it costs LP. Do you know of any other way for a toddler to swing without buying the swing set? Is there one somewhere in game? I’m betting not as they are looking for ways to make us spend real money in game.

This is the most expensive and annoying quest I have done yet! -_- I had to spent quite a lot to get a car, then I had to get & spend $250,000 to build the Promotions ‘R’ Us store (which took TWO DAYS to build), then spend another $3,490 to buy the telescope, and now I have to spend $275,000 to build the stables (and it’s going to take TWO DAYS & SIX HOURS)!!! And I only have $58,704 and it’s going to take FOREVER to get enough $$ to build the stables!! UGG!! And I had only JUST built the Promotions store when my time ran out (at least the prize isn’t worth it)!
I know, i think they put this quest in the worse place, this is really the time in the game where most people don’t have a lot of money!

Make sure the sim you want there isn’t busy, go to the stable and click the whistle in the sim tracker to bring your sim to the stable

I’m up to this quest, but can you believe the only two quest I haven’t finished are the Sim town sign (takes forever) & the monuments on the islands, lol. Sims is really milking their money & time out of us.
I’ve been playing sims for a few years now & joined sims freeplay the day it was released. Since you put this blog up with all the quest info, I’ve been a loyal fan and return every time. I haven’t leveled much (for cost reasons) but I love completing the quest thanks to your guides. Please keep the good work up and ignore the ignorance of people sometimes.

It says in the post what happens, you just won’t get the prize, you can still complete a quest once the time is up
hi! I have gotten to the part to fix the show jumping gate. but every time i try and repair it, it says something else is being constructed. but i have nothing else being constructed! help!
I think this is a glitch, a few people have told me they are also having this problem, contact EA about it to see if they can fix it

Hi, I’m up to this quest and I’m up to the bit where you have to get the 4 sims to clean the yard.My problem is that when I went to do this bit I sent 3 adults and 1 preteen thinking that that was right but then when I tried to get my preteen to clean it wouldn’t let me so I tried sending another adult sim to do the job with the sims instead but that wouldnt work,it wanted me to use the exact sims that I first brought to the stables to do the jobs but I could only get 3 sims to clean because my preteen can’t. I didnt know at the time that this was wrong but now Im stuck and not sure what to do as I want to finish the quest so that I can get access to the horses at the end. Thanks
Thats strange, this seems like a glitch, as I’m sure you should be able to get the other adult doing it regardless of who was there first
Have you tried with different adult sims? If nothing works I think you should contact EA and let them know about this issue so they can fix it
First of all, I just wanted to say THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO MAKE THIS BLOG. I’ve restarted this game a few times and your blog helped me alot!! Second, thank God the prize is not worth it! At first I thought I would finish it for sure because 7 days is a lot of time. .. BUT IM BROKE. LOL. I’m starting to regret buying all empty lots because building your own houses are fun!!! (I’ve only renovated some parts of ONE house out of 4 empty lots yet I’m still broke xD). Good thing I bought the Promotions R Us already. I’m currently building the car dealership (I think I should’ve just built a mansion tho). Still need to buy a car, then build the stable, buy a horse, repair stable, etc.. T.T and all I have so far are 37kS… (Sorry I just wanted to rant..)

I’m just getting ready to update to the horses content. (My last update was Life Dreams, so I don’t have horses or carnivals yet.) Wasn’t sure where to post this since the question actually involves orbs & aging, but mostly general planning for the Need for Steeds quest-line…
One of the things I’ve discovered that I really enjoy about this game is taking my time between the updates, to poke around and exploit the little bugs after the major content patches. I’m very happy that EA doesn’t penalize us with their updates. It’s great that they let us keep whatever we’ve managed to create before updating, even if we did so by exploiting glitches. (Actually, I didn’t realize that some of these were glitches until I updated and couldn’t go about the game as I expected…)
Anyway, your write-up says: “Build the stables (time and price varies…”
Does this stable price involve orbs or is it the standard Simoleon currency?
The reason I’m asking is that I’m able to exploit an orb bug and can basically create & keep any number of sport or geek orbs–I’m pretty sure that EA fixed this bug soon after releasing the Life Dreams update because it was a pretty major shortcut for the higher value orbs. With it, I’ve been able to unlock all of the special content in both beach and arcade areas and have permanently paused most of the sims that I want to keep. Should I be stockpiling them before I update?
I know that they’ve introduced Entertainment orbs for the carnival content, so I know that I’ll have to learn the real rules for orb usage with this new update, but was wondering if there is any value to creating a some batches of the sports & geek orbs now, before I update. Aside from creating the platinum orbs, I don’t have a use for them anymore and am starting to look forward to the new content.
Someone earlier asked if spending real money was worth it. Figured I’d toss in my 2 cents:
Short answer is, it depends.
I don’t mind spending real dollars if the game gives me pleasure and I don’t feel cheated after the purchase. Especially for free-to-play games, because it’s a way to support the game developers. (Free games are free to us, but not to those who develop them…)
I was ready to ditch this game (more than once) when I felt that the game sucked the fun by denying content unless you spent money. I don’t want to feel pressured to spend money.
Examples:
–I purchased the pool cleaner and totally don’t regret it… I hated cleaning pools and love that all my pools are now sparkling. Love that my real dollars let me put as many cleaners as I wanted, using only Simoleans and not LP or SP.
–I purchased fish tanks and thought it was worth it because they’re neat and I have an unlimited number of them at no cost…
–I purchased the stair/elevator pack… (very expensive!)… regretted it because I thought that it would entitle me to an unlimited amount of those particular items, like my previous content purchases. Instead, I got a limited number of special stairs. Yes, I like the stairs & elevators, but I felt cheated because the description didn’t indicate that there was a cap on what I could place in my homes. (Perhaps if I’d known the limits before making the purchase, it wouldn’t have left me feeling cheated… but I nearly quit the game after that one.)
Anyway, everyone has their own financial and ethical limits for micro-purchases so ultimately, it’s up to each player to decide what’s best for them… but my feeling is that as long as the game is entertaining, the purchase offers are not mandatory to the game, accurately described and fairly priced, micro-purchases give me a way to enjoy special content and support excellent game development.

Thanks! Was relieved to hear that the horse stuff costs Simoleons & not orbs. I’m nearly done with my orb collection (there were two beach activities that weren’t in the update that do require sports orbs, so I’ve just been finishing those off to get them into my inventory…)
I was all set to update, but I think I’ve stumbled upon a little baby bug… (EA didn’t lift the 4 person per house limit, did they?) I’m experimenting with this a little bit longer, but I think that I might be able to get 5 or 6 people in one household! (I’d love for one home to have one member of each age group permanently paused…). If this works, then I think I’ll hold off on the update just a little bit longer…
Oh, I’m having such fun now! I have no problem expoloring these little bugs in between updates… (I’d never do a hack or anything to jeopardize my game, but these bugs are like finding special content that uniquely customize my game…)
(It seems that the game, at my point in the update process, recognizes “percolating” baby cribs as pets, not people, so if the parents die, or move out… And another family moves in while the crib is still percolating, they assimilate the new baby when it’s born, as long as the two pet limit is in place…). Anyway, it’s fun. I was bummed that my first set of parents died before the baby was born, but then I found this little glitch when I moved a family in to the empty house… Gonna see if I can exploit it before I update…

There is a barrel in the doorway of the first field area (just to the right of the stable door) you need to remove this

You won’t make it to the end of the whole game with 100,000 but if you just go slow on this quest you could make up a lot of money by gardening to do the next quest a bit quicker 🙂

Click on the first gated stable in the building and you should be able to repair it

I just started The quest.. WITH A 45.000 simoleons! Should I plant the Tomatoes that possibly turn into sim eating plant. Or try Safe seeds? Im level 11 with 7 adult sims by the way. (Possibly can only have 5 sims free to do the planting)
