LEVEL UNLOCKS: 8 UNLOCKS: pregnancy and pregnancy events
Pregnancy has arrived in simtown! Once you complete the Two and a Half Sims Quest you will be able to build the maternity store in simtown from level 8 (you can find it next to the real estate agency and near the mall) once the store is built this quest will begin. When you complete the quest you unlock pregnancy so your female adult sims will grow a baby bump!
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
The price for building the maternity store will vary depending on how many businesses you have already built
In this quest you will be completing the pregnancy event, there is a 9 day time limit for this event and if you complete in the time limit you will unlock the baby bonus but you can still complete this once the time limit is up.
- Have a Doctor explain pregnancies- 30 seconds (call a Doctor using a phone, they will appear at that house so you can select the option)
- Talk pregnancies with a sim- 30 seconds
- Purchase the maternity outfit from the maternity store- black and grey outfit costs 500 maternity tokens
NOTE: your sims can only wear the maternity clothes when they have a baby bump (check out my maternity store post here)
Once this quest is over you can still earn maternity tokens to buy all the items from the maternity store by completing another pregnancy event!
- Place empty crib- buy one from the infant section of the home store
- Start the pregnancy event- for this you need an adult female, this event takes 9 days! Click on the crib and select the pregnancy event option and then select the adult female who you want to become pregnant:
- Select sim icon- click on the pregnancy event button in the corner of the screen then click on the picture of your sim
- View pregnancy daily goals- head back to the pregnancy event tab
Daily goals have to be completed by the pregnant sim, no other sim can complete these goals. Your sim has 9 days of goals to complete, you don’t have to finish a days goals on time, if you are behind you will start on the next day as soon as the previous days goals are complete BUT you cannot complete day 9 once the time is up, the baby will be born straight away once the time is up and you will only get the baby bonus if all goals and tasks are completed before the time is up (keep reading for more information). Completing pregnancy events earns maternity tokens used to buy maternity clothes and nursery furniture from the maternity store.
- View pregnancy support tasks- head back to the pregnancy event tab
Support tasks can be completed by any sim, you need to complete all support tasks and daily tasks within the 9 day time limit to earn the baby bonus
- View baby bonus- go back to the pregnancy event tab and click on the ‘i’ icon above the picture on the event tab
If you complete all the daily goals every day and all the support tasks you will earn bonuses for that baby, they will earn more experience points when they complete actions, complete actions faster, are not affected by low motives (low needs) and they will have these bonuses for life!
- Complete the pregnancy event
You need to complete all 9 days of daily goals and support tasks to earn the baby bonus, once the 9 days are up you will no longer get the baby bonus but your sim will still give birth. The 9 days symbolise a month a day so once you complete day 3 and start day 4 your sim will reach the 2nd trimester and their baby bump will appear, they will then start wearing the maternity clothes you brought earlier in this quest. Once you complete day 6 and start day 7 they will reach the 3rd trimester and their baby bump will get bigger
NOTE: I know I said in my video that appointments aren’t going to be in the update but I misunderstood when they told me appointments were going to be removed- they were talking about the aerobic and ultrasound appointments not the doctors appointment which is still available, sorry about that!
TIP: If you cannot afford the simoleons for the appointments select the LP option instead, this post may help if you need to earn some LP quickly!

If you don’t manage to complete this event in the time limit you will miss out on the baby bonus but the baby will still be born!
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
Pregnancy has now been unlocked on the crib, so you now have two pregnancy options:
- Pregnancy Event– you have 9 days to complete all the daily goals and support tasks to earn the baby bonus and maternity tokens for the baby is born
- Pregnancy– takes 6 days but there are no daily goals or tasks to complete, your sim will just grow a baby bump and then give birth after the 6 days!

Hi I have built the pregnancy store but the event doesn’t occur. Any suggestions?
Have you checked your active tasks tab?
If you don’t complete the pregnancy event during the bumpy ride quest, will your sim still give birth? I don’t have enough money for the doctors appointments so I wasn’t going to continue it.
Yes once the 9 day time limit is up they will give birth.
Hi! I am trying to buy the grey and black outfit but it says I have to progress further in the pregnancy quest even though the task is “purchase the maternity outfit”. The outfit costs 500 tokens but I have 0 and don’t know how to get to 500. Any ideas? Thank you!!

Do you know where to fond the magazine pile for the bouncing bub quest?
The magazine pile can be found in the living room section.
If I complete the daily goals before the time is up and the support task are not at a 100%, will it end the quest?
If you don’t complete the support tasks you won’t get the baby bonus, your sim will still give birth.
A Bump-y Ride Quest… First day support task “practice preparing formula” fails to register progress even after 5-plus Sims have completed it. Is there anything I can do to salvage this situation?
Are you waiting until they are completing the task before you go to another house? Sometimes if they are travelling to an item they will stop completing the task when you return.
If my town is maxed out in regards to my number of Sims, will my pregnant Sim still give birth? I only want to build the maternity store if it increases my Sim count.
The answer to this seems to be yes, it shouldn’t really let you start a pregnancy event when you have no space left but it does and allows the baby to be added to the game.
Hi maybe this is a stupid question but im wondering nevertheless. My sims count is full. Im allowed to have 19 and i have 19. will the baby still be born? Or is this like the previous quest where we added a baby via the crib (without pregnancy)?
You still add the baby from the crib for this, it shouldn’t let you add a baby if you are at your limit but if it does then the baby will be born, recently a few people have told me that it has let them add a baby for the event even though they are at the sim limit.
I’m on level 15 almost 16 and I have completed the quest and unlocked the store for the kids but the maternity store when I finished the two and half sims it didn’t unlock it gave me the nanny quest well I finished it and now its got me on the book of spells quest can someone please tell me how I can get the maternity store unlocked please
You click to start the nanny knows best quest and the book of spells quest, these don’t start automatically. As these are both discovery quests you won’t be able to start building the maternity store until any discovery quest you are working on is complete as the bump-y ride quest is also a discovery quest.
If a pop up appears saying you can start a new quest click no so you can start building the store, you don’t have to complete any discovery quest when it tells you to but once you have started it you will need to complete it before you can move on.
Can you still get pregnant or have the baby bump if you have missed the challenge? I tried and it’s like grayed out.
You need to finish the pregnancy event and give birth to that sim first.
If you’ve missed the time limit, does the bumpy ride quest ever come back at some point?
You will need to complete this quest before you can move on and complete anymore discovery quests.

Hey,I have just completed the events of the nanny knows best quest but it won’t let me begin the quest .what could be the problem?
There was a glitch where it wouldn’t let players begin some discovery quests, this should be fixed now.
I keep trying to open the maternity store, but it keeps asking to update, and I already have it as a new game. I need help!!!
Go to the App Store where you downloaded the game from and see if there is an update available.
Will the Bumpy Ride Quest come again?
I couldn’t finish it the first time but I won’t be sble to build some things without it.
You need to complete this quest before you can move on to another discovery quest, even if you don’t complete in time you will still have it in your quest tab to complete before you can move on.
I am to call the Yoga instructor on day two and she ( the pregnant character) will not pick up the phone to do this. The phone is accessable and there is plenty of room. and still does not do it. She will use the phone for other thingts but will not for the Yoga instructor. Hlep please.
That is strange, have you tried placing the phone in a different house?

To complete this quest you must choose the pregnancy event option.
I play in Sims Freeplay. When I go to call a doctor by the pregnant sim. Nothing happens. The pregnant Sim doesn’t move to use the phone. No doctor shows. Nothing. Help. Thank you.
Is there anything in the way of the phone? Or blocking the sim from getting to the phone?
