Once you complete the DIY Homes: All Mezzed Up Discovery Quest you will be able to add mezzanine floors to your houses! Mezzanine floors are partly open floors or indoor balconies, this post will walk you through how to add, resize and delete them.
1.Firstly you need to have rooms in your house to be able to add a mezzanine to, you need to have a room below the room which you want to build a mezzanine. I added a basement, a room on the ground floor and a room on the second floor:
2.Go to the house section and find the mezzanine tab:
3.Click on it, the tab says:
To build a mezzanine, touch and drag anywhere WITHIN a room. Ensure there is a room BELOW the room which you want to build the mezzanine. Green means the mezzanine can be built white red means it can’t.
4.Drag in a room to place the mezzanine
Click the green tick to place it there, click the red cross if you want to try again:
5.I built two mezzanines, one on my ground floor and one on my second floor, to build one on the ground floor you need to have a basement (click here for my adding basements guide!)
NOTE: There must be a room below where you want to place the mezzanine but you cannot place one between rooms
The white dotted line shows you where the rooms are located below, you cannot place a mezzanine over these lines:

Adding Railings to a Mezzanine
Once you have built the mezzanine you can change the railings by going to the railings section and clicking on the mezzanine you want to change:
Resizing a Mezzanine
If you want to resize the mezzanine, go to the mezzanine tab and drag the white arrows on your existing mezzanine, click the green tick to accept the changes or the cross to go back to your original mezzanine.
Deleting a Mezzanine
Go back to the mezzanine tab and click on the one you want to delete, click the red simoleon button to sell that mezzanine:

Once you have completed the DIY Homes: Basement of Kings Quest you can then find Bree in the park again to begin this quest (it will take 24 hours for this quest to show once that quest has been completed) If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the mezzanine house template, you can still complete once the time limit is up to unlock mezzanine floors but you won’t get the house template. I am so happy we can finally add indoor balconies!
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

Ripped rubbish bag- 1 hour
TIP: have two sims to clean these at the same time
Are we mezzanine ready?- you need to check three walls:
Check wall- 3 hours
Check wall- 5 hours 50 minutes
Check wall- 2 hours
TIP: use three sims to check all the walls at the same time
Shoo the cat- 4 hours 10 minutes
Research mezzanines- 5 hours 30 minutes (using a computer)
Go to a home lot (send your sim home)
Build a mezzanine- go to the house section and click on the mezzanine button (that is flashing)

Return to the mezzanine house (using the phone)
Give news to Bree- 5 hours

Meet Sue Portive- 6 hours 40 minutes Is Sue in the pool? Have all sims leave the house, force close the game and go back to the mezzanine house without a sim, click on Sue and then bring a sim to this house. You should now be able to interact with her
Investigate Bree’s work on the third floor- 7 hours 30 minutes (click on the x)
Calm Sue- 4 hours 10 minutes
Have 3 sims in mezzanine house
Clean the third floor- there are four things to clear:
Bucket of water- 8 hours 20 minutes
Ripped rubbish bag- 5 hours
Cans of paint- 3 hours 20 minutes
Ripped rubbish bag- 1 hour
TIP: use four sims to clean all the mess at the same time
Cuddle the kitten- 11 hours 40 minutes
Approach Sue- 3 hours 20 minutes Is Sue in the pool?Have all sims leave the house, force close the game and go back to the mezzanine house without a sim, click on Sue and then bring a sim to this house. You should now be able to interact with her
Comfort Bree- 6 hours 40 minutes
Freshen up- 10 hours 30 minutes (shower)
Have a group photo- 5 hours 50 minutes (click on x)
Have an interview- 11 hours 40 minutes (Bree)
Relax by pool using 3 sims on the deck chairs- 16 hours 40 minutes (if you want to speed up this task you have to speed all sims up individually)
Send sims home- send all sims who are at the mezzanine house home
Where can I find it? In the house templates on both standard and premium house lots
Cost: First one is free, after that they cost simoleons
Is it worth it? If you don’t want to build your own mezzanine house but really want indoor balconies then it is worth completing in the time limit. If you would rather build your own mezzanine floors then there is no rush, I personally will be building my own house!
What is the difference between the standard and premium residence? The only difference is the garden, the house is exactly the same on both

How do I start this discovery quest?
Once you have completed the basement quest you need to wait 24 hours then you can find Bree (the woman in the hard hat) in the park to start this quest
Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit
I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it

In this post I am going to explain how to start a career in the sims mobile and also how to change your sims career.
Starting a Career
When you have built a workplace a pink suitcase will appear:
Click on this with the sim you want to work there and it will ask you what story should we tell? Click on the picture in the middle of this pop up to begin this story which starts this career:
Once you have started that career the pink suitcase will turn into a pink star, click on this to begin a career event:
Each career event your sim completes earns you career points to be able to level up in the career and unlock the career story chapter to unlock new items:
Changing Careers
If you would like to switch your sims career go to another workplace and click on the pink suitcase:
Again choose the story you want to tell:
When you click on this story it will ask you if you want to switch stories? Click switch to change your sims career, this will cost simoleons:
You will then be able to start the new career story, you will not be able to complete the previous career anymore
NOTE: only one sim can be in each career at a time
Stickers are a new feature in The Sims Mobile as of the February 2018 update, this post explains all about them
How do I get stickers?
When you log in each day you will receive new stickers to give away, it will also tell you how many stickers your sims received yesterday:
How do I use stickers?
When you click on a sim with a blue plumbob above their head (these are other players sims), stickers will appear at the bottom of the screen where their name is. There will be 3 different types of stickers, click on the one you want to give that sim to spend it:

How many stickers can I give a sim?
You can only give them one a day, it will appear next to their name which sticker you gave them:
Will they know it was me who sent it?
No, they won’t know who sent them the stickers (I still feel rude giving people scary stickers though!)
I’ve run out of stickers what do I do?
Once you use all your stickers in a day you will need to come back tomorrow to receive more
Why should I use the stickers?
One of your daily tasks on your to do list is to give stickers, completing this will earn you 2 fashion gems which you can spend at Izzy’s Fashion Shop on unique outfits!
At the end of the week you will earn Fashion Gems based on how many stickers you received:

Social tasks are the tasks you have to complete in a neighbours town to earn social points, this post is a list of the tasks and how to complete them.

My neighbours don’t have an item I need, what do I do?You could find a neighbour to add or skip the goal with LP.
How do I skip a social task with LP? If you cannot complete a task and you want to skip it, click on the task in your active tasks tab and then click on the orange button next to the task, it will ask if you want to skip the task. It will cost 10LP to skip a task:
I don’t want to add neighbours! Is there another way to earn social points? Yes, you can earn SP by completing Live Events too but these events aren’t always available, you can also use the social point flower but this will cost you 20LP. Completing social tasks means you can earn more SP although sometimes the rewards are only XP
My neighbour added something to their town for me to complete a social task but I can’t find it! Why? To see the latest version of your neighbours town they will need to Save to the Cloud and then you will be able to find the item and complete the task
I don’t have any neighbours! Can I complete tasks in Another Simtown, the default neighbourhood? Yes you can but it is really lacking in a lot of items so you won’t be able to complete every social task there, this post shows you what you can find in Another Simtown
