The Sims Freeplay- Party Time Live Event

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys- may differ from actual version

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER!

ONCE THE 8 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

Party Time!! Complete this event to unlock new party items!

Live Events are very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes this time! You firstly need to update your game to the dance party update for this event to appear

This event is only here for 8 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you have participated in a Live Event before then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory, you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

NOTE: I completed this on the Early Access Beta so some information may be slightly different but I will update the post as I complete the event.

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the discoball event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the archway entrance! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!
Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the archway entrance (click on the discoball event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the discoball event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 480 candles,  720 pottery, 1080 jewelry or  1190 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 8 hours.

Thank you for everyone who let me know what Laura Craft does!

Do I think she is worth it? Definitely not! If she made constructor coins too then maybe but I’m really struggling to see how she is a good investment- even if I could afford her! I am shocked at how many people brought her before even knowing what she did!!

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? I believe you will have to buy her again for this event BUT everyone gets to try her out for 24 hours in this event:

Click on the board at the front of your house and click try for free on this pop up

The Sims Freeplay- Tropical Romance Island Community Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER!

ONCE THE 14 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO BUILD ANY AREAS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore fruit or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

This is the second time this community event has been available, it is only here for 14 days and the aim of it is to collect enough fruit from special new plants (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock the Tropical Romance Island and build all the places on the island.

If you completed it last time you will not get this again as you have already unlocked all the prizes. If you started it last time but didn’t complete it you will start from where you got to, so you will only have to collect enough resources to build the places you have left.

The community part of this event is, the fruit everyone collects (you do not need neighbours this is everyone who plays the games progress) is added together and we unlock new items when we have collected so much

There are a few goals to complete first that show you how this event works:

Plant a banana tree (find the banana tree in the events tab of buy mode and place in one of your sims gardens- first one is free)
Collect some fruit- 12 seconds (click on banana tree)

This will take you to the personal progress tab in the island event progress button that can be found in the corner of the screen:image
Here you will see you have unlocked the island ticket!

Buy tropical romance island ticket- go back to the personal progress tab and click purchase on the island ticket
Visit the tropical romance island (click on the boat in simtown and select tropical romance island)

NOTE: you will see two destinations on the boat, if the Magical Rainforest is locked then you will have to wait for them to bring that community event back again before you can go there but you can still access the Tropical Romance Island for this event!

Use the event spin flower (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin flower option, the first time is free, after that it will cost you 450 bananas)

Check the community progress (click on the island event button and find the community tab)

Check the daily goals (click on the island event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the fruit appear above that sims head, click to collect bonus fruit!)

Continue collecting fruit- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting fruit to unlock everything on the island!

If you want to speed up a collecting fruit action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus fruit as well if you speed it up!

The Sims Freeplay- Ageing UPDATE!

LAST UPDATED APRIL 2020

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest your sims will begin to age automatically. Previously once the circle that appears around their face was full and red you needed to either age them to the next life stage or use LP to reverse them back to the beginning of the life stage they are currently at.

For example, if your adult sim was ready to age you would have had to make them a senior for free or use LP to reverse them back to the beginning of their adult stage.

Now, instead of costing LP you can reverse your sims back to the beginning of their life stage for FREE!

How does it work? To reverse their age all you need to do is wait until their time is up and the birthday cake appears above their head. Click on the birthday cake and the growing older pop up will appear, just click no if you do not want them to age. It will then ask you if you are sure you want to reset them to the beginning of that life stage, click yes if you do. Once you click yes the circle around their face on the simtracker will be empty ready for them to start ageing again!
This change is a great move as I know a lot of people were using far too many LP to keep their sims at the age they currently are- mostly so they can complete events! Although it does sort of make earning platinum orbs to pause your sims at their current life stage a bit pointless!

How many times can you reverse them? You can do this as many times as you want!

How long does a sim last in each stage before they automatically age?

  • Baby- 5 days
  • Toddler- 7 days
  • Preteen- 8 days
  • Teen- 12 days
  • Adult- 24 days
  • Senior- 9 days

A sim will only age when you are on the game and these times do not mean your sim will age after its been that many days, they need to do the amount of actions that add up to that many days first.

NOTE: You can still reverse your sim for free in 2020

The Sims Freeplay- Ice Sculpture Special Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER!

You have 10 days to complete the Ice Sculpture hobby 12 times to unlock all 12 ice themed packs, you get a pack each time you complete the hobby collection:

Out of the 12 packs there are to unlock, 11 of those were prizes in the Secret Winter Wonderland Christmas 2015 Quest. If you completed each part of that quest you will have unlocked all those prizes so you will only have to complete the collection once to unlock the last pack!

Confused about time limited hobby events? This video explains how they work:

How can you do this hobby?

Buy Ice Pedestals from the promotions r us store, you can buy 15 of these and the price increases each time you buy one:

  1. S1,000
  2. S1,100
  3. S1,300
  4. S1,900
  5. S2,500
  6. S9,000
  7. S20,000
  8. S35,000
  9. S50,000
  10. 8SPs
  11. 12SPs
  12. 18SPs
  13. 26SPs
  14. 32SPs
  15. 40SPs

Once you have brought an ice pedestal you can find it in the inventory under hobby and career items to place in a house:

Who can do this hobby?

Adult sims, you can have a maximum of 15 sims completing this at once.

What are the options?

  • Practice Sculpting- 5 hours 45 minutes
  • Conjure Masterpiece- 8 hours

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FOUR ROWS TO GET ONE PACK!!

(12 ICE SCULPTURES= 1 PACK)

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

  • I would recommend having one sim doing the longest option to try and level up quicker while other sims can do the shorter option to find the collectibles for the levels you have currently unlocked.
  • Have more than one sim working on it- I have 9

  • Remember to click start new collection at the top of the ice sculpture collection list once you have got all of the collectibles, as shown in this post
  • Once you have completed the collection for the first time you can have all sims on the shortest option, as once you reach level 6 all the items will be unlocked so the shortest option will help you earn more collectibles in the time limit!
  • You can always use the lucky spin on a row if you are really struggling, this video shows you how the lucky spin works
  • Most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need and this event will probably return if you don’t manage to complete it this time!

The Sims Freeplay- Hobbies: Aerobics

HEALTH HUB – AEROBIC STEPS – ADULT SIMS ONLY – PRIZE: 2LP

TIME LIMITED HOBBY EVENT – TIME: 7 DAYS – TIME LIMITED PRIZE: ACTIVEWEAR OUTFITS

Once you complete The Grooving Guru Quest this hobby and the time limited Aerobics Event starts straight away:

The Aerobics Event has a time limit of 7 days, you have to complete the aerobics hobby collection 7 times in 7 days to unlock all the new activewear outfits (a collection means finding all 12 items in the hobby grid, not just one row!)
You can have one sim completing this hobby using the steps at the Health Hub and you can also buy more aerobic steps from the promotions r us store and place it in one of your sims houses. You can buy 14 steps from the promotions r us store, the price increases with each one you buy:

I cannot find it in my home store to place it? You need to look in your inventory under the hobby and career items section

I cannot place the aerobic steps, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the aerobic steps in one of your sims houses.

Once placed tap on it and select one of the options:

  • Warm Up- 4 hours 50 minutes
  • Shake It Off- 6 hours 30 minutes

Why can you only use one of the steps at the Health Hub? The other 4 can be used but only for 10 minutes, its like the main sim is taking a class but those sims aren’t doing the hobby

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the aerobic collectibles. Every time your sims complete one of the options above their aerobic hobby skill level up percentage will increase, once they reach 100% they will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the aerobic collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them (then you can complete the collection to unlock one of the activewear outfits!

The table below shows the level up percentage for each option:

This may change in future updates

 LEVEL  4 hours 50 minutes 6 hours 30 minutes
1-2 400% 1600%
2-3 200% 800%
3-4 100% 400%
4-5 75% 300%
5-6 25% 100%

NOTE: it says 1600% but you will start from 0% at level 2

The next table shows you for each level what aerobic collectibles you unlock (so you can then find those ones too) and also the level up reward that a second and future sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

LEVEL  TITLE 1st TIME LEVEL UP UNLOCKS 2nd+ TIMES LEVEL UP REWARD
1 Arrthymic Amateur Salute-to-the-Floor and Long Trip are unlocked in the hobby collection
2 Isometric Initiate Simple Step, Longitudinal Lunge and Plyometric Groove are now unlocked in the hobby collection 250XP
3 Fiery Feet Triple-Triangulated-Turnstep, Jumping Jack and Star Stretch are now unlocked in the hobby collection 500XP
4 Aerobic Adept Reach for the Sky is now unlocked in the hobby collection S750
5 Lycra-clad Legend Shimmy’n’Shake and Boogie Blast Off are now unlocked in the hobby collection 10,000 Town Value
6 Stepping Sage Groove Wonderland is now unlocked in the hobby collection.

You can now complete the collection!

1LP
NOTE: only the first sim completing this hobby needs to get to level 6 to unlock all the collectibles, future sims will be able to find any collectible even if they are only on level 1 in this hobby (and they can do the shortest option to try and find the collectibles quicker!)

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?

If you complete this hobby 7 times in the time limit you will unlock the 7 sets of activewearso each time you complete the collection you will get one female adult and one male adult activewear outfit:

Tips for completing in the time limit

They have made this event a lot easier, it is still difficult but when I first tried to complete this I only just managed to reach level 6 by the end of the week so I got one outfit, they have changed this so you level up a lot quicker this time

  • I would recommend having one sim doing the 4 hour 30 minutes option 3 times and then the 6 hour 30 minutes option twice, that should get that sim to level 6 so you can complete the collection!
  • While that sim is levelling up have all your other sims doing the 4 hour 30 minute option (only until you get all the items that are unlocked until that first sim reaches level 6, then all your sims can just do the shortest option)
  • Have as many sims as possible completing this hobby event- I had 9, 8 at home and 1 at the health hub:

  • Remember to click start new collection at the top of the aerobics collection list once you have got all of the collectibles, as shown in this post

NOTE: I don’t know whether they will bring this back as a time limited hobby event one day but I really hope they do as I didn’t manage to complete it!

The completed aerobics collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

You will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

The reward for completing this collection is 2LP:

  • You will earn 2LP each time you complete this collection once the aerobics event has ended
