Once you complete the mysterious island quest this quest will begin, this quest will show you how to complete monuments on the island. If you complete this in the 2 day time limit you will receive a treasure chest full of Artifacts, LP, XP and more! You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up but you won’t get the treasure chest prize

Times may vary depending on the star rating the item has.
- Go to the mysterious island (click on the bridge)
- Tap on a monument (symbols are rock, water, air and fire)
- Read big book of stuff- 21 hours 30 minutes (can be started goal early)
- Leftovers from a fridge- 18 seconds
- Search for artifacts in the garbage- 8 minutes 30 seconds (you need to kick over the garbage first to get this option)
- Find the third artifact (you get them at random by baking, gardening and using objects, you can see if you get one because a material will appear above your sims head) TIP: just plant peppers until you find it! or have a shower- you just need to do something quick!
- Upgrade the riches of terra to level 1 (first monument-rock, click on it and click upgrade now)
QUEST IS COMPLETE!

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) including the mysterious island quest and reach level 10 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 10?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
How do I visit the island?
Click on the mysterious island bridge, this will take you to the island
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
I cannot find the third artifact, where do you find them?
You get them randomly by baking, gardening and using objects, I cannot tell you where to find them as any action can give you one. Try planting peppers or any other action that takes seconds to try and get it quickly
How long does it take to upgrade the riches of terra?
Go to the island and click on it and select upgrade and it will complete straightaway

Once you reach level 10 your game needs to download additional content, this link explains what it is but it doesn’t say how to do it, I’m guessing your game should do it automatically. If you still can’t progress you may need to contact the makers to see if they can fix this for you

Yes, you can start it early, but stay away from that house until you get the goal to read the book

I was just wondering if there are certain tasks that you noticed give you certain items. The ones in particular I am searching for are GOLD for Riches of Terra (I found that corn gets it for you sometimes), the WISP of air for the Tempest of Bliss, the MAGMA for the Flames of Wisdom and the PEARL thing for the Springs of Fortune. I have gotten them all at some point because all these monuments are level 2 or higher except the Springs of Fortune. Is that a life orb? I am currently on the Ghost Hunters quest. I seem to always get a pickaxe (I have over 150 of them). I know they are supposedly randomized, but I have seen somewhat of a pattern and was wondering if anyone else has discovered one.
those 3 are rare that is why they take longer to find than the others

No, none of the monuments are life orbs, life orbs are completely different
I have found that my sim collected the Magma Rock (Flames of
Wisdom) whilst doing the Settle in action whilst fishing. The sim is level 5 and I got 2 magma rocks after choosing settle in 2 consecutive times. I have somehow collected 1 gold bar, but not sure what I did to collect it. Fashion Designing seems to collect the black Onyx and feeding an infant (since update) collected bamboo no idea how to get the whisp. I know EA need to make money, but making it this hard to collect the items is frustrating and stopping my enjoyment. Also trying to get the last collectable of the toddler clubhouse trying for nearly a month now and still can’t collect it.

Are all the artifacts really assigned randomly? Because I do a lot of gardening, and I have 43 pickaxes, 34 blocks of stone, but only 3 metals for the riches of terra next upgrade (going for level 4). Also, I’m having real trouble finding the red veined rock for Flames of Wisdom.
Is there anything I can do to get those more often and the ones I don’t need less often? Or is the game just unbalanced to force you to use LPs (and thus hopefully by them)?

Yes they are, some are rare though so take longer to find so the gold and red rock are both rare, and yes they do this to get you to spend LPs on them, but there is nothing you can do to get those more often you just have to play the game and hope for them!
I get stuff by kicking over the rubbish bin and cleaning it up… Works every time for some reason
how do you get gold bars on riches of terra or the last rock on the flames one?
any action can get you them, its random so I can’t tell you exactly how you get them, also they are rare so take longer to get than other pieces

What is the top level of the monuments? I just want to know how many more levels until they are completed. I am on level 7 for one of them and 6 on another, and the stage of construction of it doesn’t look like it’s even near the completed stage if it is only 10 levels.
level 25 unlocks the volcano but I believe they go up to 80
When, I would be on the verge of ending the quest “The Mysterious Island”, if I start reading the “big book of stuff”, and then after few hours, I finish the quest of mysterious island and then enter to the quest of “the raiders of lost artifacts”, would it count, as I’ve started reading it in the earlier quest and ended my reading in the required quest?

Yes it will count as long as you only complete reading when you get the goal, if you finish before the goal appears you will have to do it again.

Hi thank you so much for your lovely blog. I am currently on the Need for Steed quest and I’m having trouble getting 100,000S for the Promotions R S. I was wondering if I can do it along with the toddlers quest, as in two quests together? If not, can I skip it and go to the toddlers quest? No, you can’t do more than one quest at a time, you have to complete need for steed before doing the toddler quest and you can’t skip quests either

go to the mysterious island, click on the monument you clicked on earlier in the quest and click upgrade now.
Hello I am currently reading the big book of stuff and I am wondering if you can collect the artifacts you to upgrade the monuments before you get to the step in the quest
no you can’t because you get the first two at specific points in the quest, then you have to get the third one when you get the goal to do that
The prize is not worth it, you can only get it once, maybe you can just get it once a week! 😦

I can’t really tell you where to find it as you get them randomly, just complete lots of different actions, you should be able to find it quite quickly.
I’m on level 31 and I’m trying to get all of the monuments but none of them (except the one I built in this quest) will let me build it. All that comes up is a checklist that shows that I passed the level but it won’t let me actually build it. I got on my dads phone and it says that I haven’t completed this quest yet but I have. I think I might’ve messed it up when I got a new phone but it shouldn’t have done that. Suggestions????
this sounds like a technical issue, you may need to contact EA to see if they can fix it for you

I’m so stupid- I started the big book of stuff early but before this quest officially came up I went to the house with that Sim so it doesn’t count anymore. I have 11 LPs so I’m probably going to have to use all of it to complete the quest in time. I’m so angry and annoyed with myself… Also can I ask you a question? The last time I downloaded this game (2013/14) there was a quest for fashion studio but is there one now? Because there was a popup about the long hair quest coming back again and i think you need to build it before the quest is available?

Hello, I’m trying to do this quest, but when I press on the bridge, I see the Sims Freeplay logo, and then it goes to the home on my tablet. Could it be a bug?
It sounds like it crashes your game, try restarting your device and trying to click on it again, hopefully that should fix it

I was just wandering if there any special places for each artifacts cause i did a lot of things and i only got pickaxe from gardening, granite from sentinel thingy from last quests and i haven’t found any gold help?
Not really, you find them at random and can get them from completing any action, gold is the rarest so it takes longer to find.

Why haven’t you posted about monuments yet?
I am still in the process of building all the monuments on the island but as soon as I have I will create a post- I haven’t forgotten, it just takes a while to get the rare items!

The big book of stuff is 24 hours.
If you are using a cheaper bookcase but it is 21 hours 30 minutes on a more expensive 2 star bookcase, the higher the star rating the quicker an action is completed.
I started “Read Big Book of Stuff” after the bridge was built, but before I started the quest. Do you think I will be able to finish the quest on time? Or should I stock up on LPs and be prepared to use them, just in case? Thanks!
You will be fine as you have started reading the book early, just stay away from the house where the sim is reading until you get the goal otherwise you will have to start reading it again.
Whew! Thanks. I thought I would have to use my LPs to finish reading the book. But I guess that would nullify the purpose of starting the goal early. I hope using all my Sims on “Find the 3rd artifact” will make up for the late start on the “early start”. Haha! Cheers!
Don’t worry it will be fine! As for the find the 3rd artifact just do short tasks such as wash hands and you will find it in no time!
