       I think you will get it when you go back on your game if you don’t go on there on the 15th.

5. you know rainbow bucket in shop? its random every 8 hour or we get all type of flowers?

   • It auto gathers 300 Daisy, 400 Blue Bell, 600 Petunia OR 700 Pansy every 8 hours, so you only get one of those every 8 hours, not all of them.

6. Sorry to bother you again , as I hate to be a pain. I found the answer to my question regarding the free prize awarded to us annually by Sims Freeplay, that is on the 15th of December.

   I am having another issue though and I was wondering if you have had other inquiries about it. I have collected enough flowers and coins to unlock the campfire prize but it is still locked and I am unable to build it. Do you have any suggestions or ideas?

     Have you collected enough flowers to unlock it on your personal progress bar yet? You may have enough to build it but you will still need to collect more to unlock it first

7. For some reason I can’t open the campfire I have enough flowers and construction points but it still won’t open.

   • Have you unlocked it yet? You will need to unlock it in your personal progress bar before you can build it.

8. Hi! I’m having trouble completing all the goals because even if I bought the first one (Crackling Campfire) it didn’t count as “claiming/buying a prize”. Is it also the same with you? Thanks!

   • I had this issue too, then I went back on later and the claiming a prize goal seemed to disappear completely! Hopefully this will be sorted out soon!

11. I’m fairly new to the game and this is my first social event. And I’m thoroughly confused on the “Claim or Buy a Prize” portion. I got the one on the first day (the ticket?), but cannot figure out what to claim or buy today to get the credit. I “bought” the campfire on the island, but didn’t get credit for that daily. Nor do I see enough such progress items to do it daily…

    • I had this issue too, it seems to be a glitch where it isn’t recognising it as completing the goal. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon!

      • Looks like they removed the “Claim or Buy a prize” from the daily goals. I didn’t see it yesterday or today.

      • Yeah I gathered that as there have been issues with it.

12. Correction: the bonuses work the same way they did for the gemstones in the Spa event (not the Tropical Island event).

13. I think that the maximum bonus is about 10 every 20 minutes, provided you’re doing the 3h30min option. You can have more than 10 as a maximum when you pick a longer option. I don’t have it down to a science yet!

14. When you win a prize in the community prize you also unlock a quest/part of a book.
    Do you have to complete them before you can keep the boat ticket?

    • No you don’t, you get to keep your access to the rainforest now you have unlocked it.

15. I had enough daises and constructor coin to build Crackling Campfire. So, I build one. I wait for 30 minutes, then it said that it’s done. But I see nothing in crackling campfire spot in rainforest. even the “lock” is gone. Plus, the claim prize button is still disabled, it should be enable coz I already build crackling campfire. I lost my daises and constructor point for nothing. Any one knows how to fix this? The last SPA event work just fine for me. this is my first time joining prince and the pocket sized princess.

    • Can you not see the little guitar, campfire and stones to sit on? If not, I think you should contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you.

17. What do you think about buying the $10.00 ranbow bouquet that automatically collects flowers? I missed out on the top prizes for the spa event because i couldn’t collect enough, but i feel i played all the time.

18. I understand there will be items to unlock that will be available in the home store, but will you be able to visit the magical rain forrest after the event has ended. In other words, what is the benefit of unlocking these locations in the magical rain forrest?

    I missed the tropical paradise community event, so I don’t have that experience to compare to. If you participated in the tropical paradise, can you still access that map location? How was that event similar/different to this one? (I did play the spa community event, but wasn’t able to unlock things because I didn’t want to pay SPs.)

    • Yes once the event is over you will still be able to access the magical rainforest but you will not be able to unlock anymore places that you didn’t unlock during the event.

20. hey, do you by any chance know why it isn’t updating on windows phone but the others? I’ve got an android and I’ve received the update but not on windows phone. even after i deleted and downloaded the game again. I’ve checked online but there aren’t any answers.

    • I heard there has been an issue with the update on windows phones which is why it is taking longer to release, they do try and release them on the same day but sometimes it just isn’t possible unfortunately.

        I understand your disappointment regarding the delay in Christmas update for Windows phone.

        Please let me share that we don’t have any specific time-frame from Microsoft. The issue of the Windows Phone release not being available is due to the need for Microsoft to review our update and they have not provided us with a timeline for completion – so at the moment it could be at least another week.

        I hope you’ll understand.

It’s only been two days since I started but I’ve got enough daisies & constructor coins to build the first thing and it’s not unlocked yet.

    • Thanks! Yes I have unlocked a few things so far, I have just updated the post this morning! So have you not unlocked the campfire and tea set on your personal progress bar yet? Or have you unlocked it but it isn’t letting you build anything?

    • You will still be able to access the magical rainforest once the event is over, even if you do not unlock or build all of the areas within it.

23. Hello! Do you happen to know what the Rainbow Bouquet item looks like once you buy it? Is it an actual item that you can place at a home, like a gazebo or some sort of decorative thing? The picture they show in the in-game store looks really cute, but I’m hesitant to pay real money for it if it does not look nice or have some use beyond this timed event. Thanks!

    • Yes its the picture it shows in the game so I’m guessing you place that in your garden and it will give you one of the flowers every 8 hours.

24. Hi, first of all, I would like to say thank you!!! Your posts are always helpful. Recently, I find that some architect homes listed in the game are no longer can be purchased by Social Points. However, I purchased a lot of Social Points before and thought I could use them later to buy homes. And I do not want to use Social Points for furniture. What can I do? Thank you!

    • You’re welcome! I’m glad they help! Well architect houses change all the time so although there may be less that cost SPs this time, next time there may be more so I would suggest you just be patient 🙂

25. This is more of a comment than a question, but I thought it might to useful to other players.

    Having played the spa event, which is very similar, I don’t think it’s possible to complete this without converting a ton of LPs into SPs. I think I used more than 1,000 LPs for the spa event to get a few hundred SPs.

    For the spa event (and so far on this event) I gathered materials four times during the day for 3:30. And set it for the 9:30 option at night while I slept. If you get up every three and a half hours during the night to collect flowers, you’ll get a lot more, but I’m not willing to do that.

    Also (and this is the useful part) I wouldn’t use SPs to spin for constructor coins. You get a negative expected value back. Meaning that for every 20 SPs you use, on average you only will get 7 constructor points back.

    You could get lucky and hit a couple jackpots, but the odds are not in your favor. You’re better off using your SPs as constructor coins. You get a one-to-one exchange rate when you use them to complete your materials.

    Hope that might help some people. I like the prizes you get for these events. But they’re really set up to be nearly impossible so that people will have to spend real money. Which is lame.

26. Hi Thank you for the helpful post. I was just wondering what the benefits of this event are. For the spa event, I earned free items so that was nice but for this one, I only get access to places that I don’t think are worth the simuleons, sps and the time I have to spend. So, I was wondering if getting access to those places on the island is helpful for future quests of not. If not, I think I’m not going to earn flowers any more haha

    • You are right, you unlock places in this event, not items and it won’t be helpful for future quests. However if you complete the community progress quest you will get some new items!

27. Hi! Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if we don’t unlock all the areas in the forest do you think there will be another event like this or not? I noticed the spa event we had said at the end “get the rest of the spa items when the challenge comes again!” Or something like that so is this event the same?

28. Help me please! I can’t seem to get the quest! Do you have to unlock it? If so, how? My twin got the quest already but I haven’t got it! Do you have to unwrap the present? My twin did that & got the quest. Although, I don’t see any presents next to my mailbox! Any tips? P.S. I really appreciate your blog. It helps me with a lot! 🙂

    Just a short note – the maximum bonus varies if you take longer options. I don’t have the exact numbers – I didn’t think about creating screenshots when a drunk idiot woke me up at 3am.

    And though it’s probably too late for that now – when you first collect those 50 flowers, you can easily do so with multiple plants. Another 150 isn’t much, but it’s nice to have 🙂

    And now I’m off to celebrate that I got 3 grasshoppers on the coin patch today 😀

30. Hi, I’ve got another short question for you: somehow, my Sims’ actions keep lagging. Like starting the 3.30 option with all of them, at the same time – only that one Sim needs 1h longer, hence 4.30 any idea what might’ve caused this? I submitted a ticket already – but I’d love to prevent this mistake from occurring again.

    • How strange! Have you tried restarting the game or your device when you see that one has taken longer? Sometimes I go on my game and they have only just started an action they have been doing for hours so restarting the app usually fixes this issue.

      • I did – still happening every now and then. I won’t finish anyways – I started 2 days late. If I’m lucky with the constructor coins patch, I might unlock another venue, missing only one. I really hope it’ll return one day 🙂

31. Hi! I love your blog! I have a windows phone and I’m waiting since I starded the game this summer to have the Christmas items to build a cottage that I saw on youtube. I’m afraid that they will delete the items from the store before we have the update

    • Thanks! I would recommend you contact EA about this, its worth a try anyway! I know they have submitted the update but the windows app store are taking forever to approve it

32. Your blog was recommended to me on r/simsfreeplay. Nice work. Did you make this entire website yourself?

    My coin flower patches keep turning into regular garden patches all throughout this event. I keep putting the garden patches into storage and then replacing it with a coin flower patch. In a couple of days, that coin flower patch is a regular garden patch again. Do you know why?

    Also will I be able to keep the giant flowers after the event if I put them into storage afterwards so I can move them into other residences? Will I be able to keep the tiny forest after the event?

      How strange! I haven’t heard of anyone else having that issue, I think the only thing you can do is keep replacing it unfortunately!

35. I dontnwant any of the christmas ornaments or anything. I want everything else that has nothing to do with Christmas like the fairy world!!! I have to wait for my sims to get off work and my other sim to stop planting which is same time my others will get off work. It wont be my only quest though… Soo i have to make lots of money!!!! As well as make time. I’m glad I am not working right now..more time for this game.

    • I recommend not sending sims to work during the event so they can keep collecting flowers.

    • The community progress is everyone across the world who plays so we are all currently on the same part.

    • It hasn’t happened before, we have always managed to unlock everything so I think we will be okay- especially as it is Christmas so I think they will be kind to us!

40. Hello! Do you know if we will be able to build the places we’ve unlocked but don’t have enough material to build, after the event is over? Obviously it would have to be using SPs. But I can tell there is no way I’ll be able to collect the constructor coins necessary for building the all the places in the next few days.

    • I hope so! We have been able to in past events so hopefully this one will be the same but I am not 100% sure on this!
      I know, I still need over 1000 constructor coins to build everything 😦

      • I still need 660 coins 24,000 pansies. I think the bonus coins we get on the bar should be higher amounts, so it’s easier to complete the challenge.

41. I appreciate your blog. It has helped me a lot over the past couple of years.

    Unfortunately, I am done with this game. I have been playing for five years. It was fun at first, but now it is impossible to properly play without spending hundreds of dollars. This last event proves it.

    I have been setting alarms every 210 minutes, even in the middle of the night to harvest flowers. I will still need to spend close to a hundred dollars on social points to win all of the forest.

    I understand needing to make a profit, and when a company produces a good product, they deserve to be fairly compensated. But this whole “pay to win” concept is just appalling. They should charge for the game so gamers can play to win. Paying to win doesn’t take any time or skill.

    I’m done with my soapbox. Thanks again for the blog. I will give you a one time “thank you donation.” But, I will not spend any more money on any EA game unless they drastically change, which will probably he never.

    • I’m guessing you unlock them for free when you build all the other places as that is what has happened in the other events, I personally didn’t finish it though as I just could not earn enough constructor coins!

46. I stopped collecting after building the Spider Web. We had the community bar done and I had no way in the time left to unlock the last 2 prizes. Went back to working on my Life Dreams before I have to advance ages. Good luck to anyone still playing! I am disappointed because I usually get all the prizes for the community events.

47. I’ve finished the Quest! Yahoo!

    I followed your tip about earning LP’s fast during this quest, but instead of doing the cooking hobby I had all my Sims not involved in the Quest swimming like crazy. That tip has helped me so many times, thank you, thank you! That approach helped me earn many SP’s to spin for constructor coins. Nevertheless, as the last few hours of the Quest loomed I was going to just fall short of having enough constructor coins to finish up.

    My Sims are now joyfully flying around the rain forest, thanks in the end to a lucky break when I used the SP spin flower and won 500 SP’s !!! Amazing! That got me over the top of what I needed to finish.

    Since I’m retired I was able to devote a lot of time to this quest. I don’t know how anyone who has a job, school, etc., could possibly finish this quest in time, unless one wants to spend a lot of real money buying SP’s. I should also note that I chose earlier in the game to not complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest because I didn’t like having my Sims get old and die.

    Now if only Firemonkeys would fix the parts of my game that are still not working since the 2016 Holiday Update. I’m going to try submitting a new support ticket to see if that works.

      • I see that other posters, as well as yourself, couldn’t finish this part of the game. I agree with those who are displeased with the trend to make it harder to play without spending real money. I only completed because I lucked out with a lucky SP flower spin (boy was I shocked). Firemonkeys did finally fix the problems I was having with my game, and they also gifted me some extra SPs to keep me happy. However, I’m having to re-evaluate whether it is worth the effort to play long-term. This should be fun, not work! I realize that developers need to earn money, just like we all do, but they need to be honest about it. And my final comment is about how we choose to play the game: this is just a game! There are ways to play without spending real $$, but there are some trade-offs (like my decision to not advance into the Life Dreams level so that my Sims don’t age – I actually restarted the game when I learned that my Sims would need constant attention if they were aging). I’m also not getting into the Market, as it’s too labor-intensive. It’s fun to play a quest once in a while, but not all the time. These choices make the game more fun for me. Hope sharing this approach helps others.

48. I will have about 10,000 daisies and 15,000 blue bells when the event runs out 😦 Any chance they’ll still be in my inventory when the event comes back??

    • No they won’t be, you will have to start from zero next time the event appears if it does.

49. You said this event last for 18 days, how come my event last for 8 days only? BTW, I like your blog it help a lot while playing sims FreePlay for years. More powers!

    • The time limit was the same for everyone so if you started late you wouldn’t have had the full time.

50. I’ve had all my sims doing nothing but collecting flowers even adding more sims just to collect flowers. I have everything unlocked but know I won’t have enough time to build everything. You think they would add a day or something because this is ridiculous. I feel like without spending money there’s really no way to finish this one.

    • You have 7 days now the event is over to build any places that you want to but you cannot collect anymore flowers or coins during this time.
