To begin this discovery quest you need to find the puppy in the park. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the puppy and kitten outfits, you can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the puppies, kittens and hobbies but you won’t get the outfits
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
Are you currently completing the An Alien Concept: Weather Machines Quest? Don’t start this one yet! They both need Osiris to complete
Say hello to the small dog- 1 minute
Call for the puppy- 5 minutes
Pet the small dog in the park- 45 minutes
Read the puppy’s collar- 5 minutes
Wait for the owner at the park- 9 hours (bench)
Pick up the puppy- 4 seconds
Return home with the puppy
click the house with arrow button on simtracker
Let the puppy on the ground- 3 seconds (click on sim holding the puppy)
Check lost puppy ads on a computer- 9 hours
Buy a food dish (S5,000 from pet section)
Check a refrigerator for puppy food- 4 minutes
Place puppy food in the dish- 1 minute
Read a book on puppies- 19 hours
Check voice messages- 4 minutes (phone)
Call back the number- 4 minutes (phone)
Sit with the puppy- 19 hours (pick the puppy up then click on the couch) NOTE: if you cannot find the puppy, you will need to contact the makers to see if they can fix this for you
Greet Osiris- 5 minutes (you will need to put the puppy down first or use another sim)
Show the puppy to Osiris- 3 seconds (pick puppy back up and place puppy on x)
Pet the puppy goodbye- 15 hours 15 minutes
Stay out of the way- 2 minutes 24 seconds (seat)
Pet the kitten- 10 minutes
Tell Osiris about the puppy- 10 hours 15 minutes
Check the pet store (click the green arrow once finished looking to complete goal)
Say goodbye to Osiris- 14 hours 15 minutes
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now buy puppies and kittens from the pet store! Completing this quest also unlocks two hobbies; Puppy Pals which is the timed 7 day hobby that starts as soon as you complete this quest (buy a puppy from the pet store and the Puppy Play Mat from promotions r us and place in the house with the puppy to start this hobby) and Internet Kitten which doesn’t have a time limit to complete (buy a kitten from the pet store and the Kitten Play Box from promotions r us and place in the house with the kitten to start this hobby)

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
Do you keep the puppy and kitten in this quest?
No but you will be able to get a free puppy and kitten from the pet store once you complete the quest

This quest unlocks the puppy pals and internet kitten hobbies, does the time limit start straight away once I have completed this quest?
Yes, the time limit for the puppy pals hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down There is no time limit for the internet kitten hobby
VIP perks are unlocked when you buy items from the online store with real money, anything you buy with real money now gets converted into points (the more money you spend the more points you earn) and the more VIP points you have, the higher level VIP you will be, earning you more perks!
You can see on the bar at the top of your screen how many VIP points you have.
What are the levels and what are the perks for each?
If it says NEW next to a perk it is new so you will get it when you reach that VIP level If it says UPDATE you already have access to the perk but you will earn more when you reach that VIP level

Each Perk Explained:
Additional Sim per Town- the maximum amount of sims you can have in your town will increase to 41 if you reach VIP 15!
Daily Social Point Flower Seed- From VIP 8 you will receive a free social point flower seed each day (usually costs 5LP) to earn social points (the flower can be found on a garden patch)
Daily Monument Resource- Each day from VIP 7 you will get 1-3 (depending on your VIP level) random resources to help you complete a monument on the mysterious island e.g. gold or pickaxe
Collect All Revenue Button- a new button will be added to the town map from VIP 6 to allow you to collect all revenue from buildings at once!

Additional Sim per House- you will be able to have 5 sims living in each house at one time instead of 4 once you reach VIP 5 and 6 once you reach VIP 14.
Time Extension- if you run out of time on a quest or hobby you can use a time extension once unlocked from VIP 3 to add more time (each time extension adds 24 hours to a quest or hobby) NOTE: you can only use each time extension once and they don’t replenish so choose wisely!

Daily Rainbow Cake Slices- rainbow cake keeps a sim inspired (their needs won’t decrease) for 24 hours

The image below shows how to use a rainbow cake:
Click on the sparkly sim button
Select the cake button
The Rainbow Cakes of Inspiration pop up will appear and at the top it tells you how many rainbow cakes you have available. Click on the green add button on the sim you want to inspire
Click the green button at the bottom of the pop up to confirm the inspiration
Your sim will now have a green sparkly background on the simtracker
If you added cake to the wrong person at step 3 you can press the red minus button as seen in step 4 but once you click confirm inspiration you cannot undo this and you won’t be able to use the cake again.
Bigger Rainbow Cake per Sim- this means that you can give a sim more than one rainbow cake at one time so they will stay inspired for longer (you can have up to 7 at the moment so they can be inspired for a whole week!)

Double Shift- from VIP level 1 your sims can work 2 shifts instead of 1 in 24 hours at the police station but it will cost you 20LP to send for the second shift!
Mega Spin- this perk unlocks the VIP only mega spin in the resource exchange at the police station from VIP level 2, this gives you better resources than the normal spin but again it will cost you LPs- 15LP! Simultaneous Constructions- this perk unlocks from VIP level 7 and unlocks the ability to build or upgrade more than one workstation at the police station at a time, without this perk you can only build or upgrade one at a time and have to wait for one to finish before constructing the next.
Chance of Extra Profession Resources- this unlocks from VIP level 11 and gives you the chance of getting extra resources from the sims you help while working at the police station.

Christmas is back in simtown- update your game now to unlock new quests and Christmas items! (I will be creating a post on what is new in this update as soon as possible)
This is the first of two quests this Christmas, you have to complete this quest in 3 days to unlock all the new winter clothes for yours sims!
First set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults and teens
Call the mayor on a phone- 48 seconds
Print flyers using a computer- 4 minutes
Place flyers on lamp post in park- 9 hours 30 minutes (only need to place flyers on one lamp post)
Have a strong hot coffee- 48 seconds
Bake an apple pie (using a stove, select baking)- 40 minutes (can be started early)
Wait for part 2 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.
Second set- complete this set of goals to unlock winter hats and clothes for adults and teens
Call the mayor on a phone- 4 minutes
Send out carol advertising (computer)- 2 hours 50 minutes
Call sims about carolling (phone)- 4 hours
Set up camera in the park (on the x)- 8 hours 15 minutes
Have 3 sims at the park
Use camera in the park (completes as soon you start the task)
Carol for the camera- 5 hours 15 minutes (you need two sims to select this option on the camera- if you are speeding up with LPs you will need to use LPs on both sims to complete the task)
Upload carol video (computer)- 12 minutes
Open the package- 12 seconds
Wait for part 3 (next part starts at midnight) NOTE: you can skip this for 10 LPs to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.
Third set– complete this set of goals to unlock winter clothes for adults, teens and preteens
Have 3 sims in the park
Have 3 sims clapping- 1 minute (podium)
Have 3 sims carolling- 6 hours 15 minutes (podium)
Listen to the mayor-5 minutes (podium)
Murmur doubtfully- 15 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Have 2 sims brainstorm together- 5 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Play loud rock music on a guitar in the park- 45 minutes
Place a flare on the X- 1 minute
Turn on the flare (click on flare and select turn on)
LIFE DREAMS AND LEGACIES QUEST – PET PARK: DOG AGILITY AREA – TEEN AND ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: DOG AGILITY OBSTACLES AND 5LP
Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest you will be able to use orbs to build the Pet Park, once the pet park is built you will also need to use orbs to build the Dog Agility Area (for more information please click here) Once the dog agility area is built a teen or adult can complete this hobby along with a dog
NOTE: before you can complete this hobby you need a dog in your town (not a puppy) and they need to be wearing a collar that you can buy from the pet salon. Once they are wearing a collar when you click on them you will get the option to send to pet park:
Once one of your sims and the dog are at the pet park you can click on one of the dog agility obstacles and select:
Enter Dog Agility Hobby- 6 hours 2 minutes
When you first start you will have access to the jump, as you complete each row you will unlock a new item at the pet park but you can click on any piece of equipment to unlock any of the medals. For example, to get a tunnel related medal you do not need to click on the tunnel, any piece of equipment can get you a tunnel medal once you have completed the previous row and unlocked the tunnel. After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the dog agility medal collectibles. Every time your sims enters the dog agility hobby their dog agility hobby level up percentage will increase, once you reach 100% you will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the dog agility medal collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.
NOTE: click on the dog at the pet park to get the option to send them home once you complete the hobby

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?
The completed dog agility collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):
The first time you complete a row you will unlock an obstacle in the dog agility area at the pet park, further times you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but tocomplete the collection you need to find all 15 of the collectibles

Once you complete the Saved by the Spell Quest the time limit for this hobby will start straight away, to begin this hobby you need to buy the potion brewing cauldron from the promotions r us store or the sorcerous supplies store for S5,000 and place it in one of your sims houses:
I cannot place the cauldron, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the potion brewing cauldron in one of your sims houses.
If you complete this hobby in the 7 day time limit you unlock the Wizard Costume Pack for your sims:
When your teen or adult sim first starts this hobby they will only have one option:
Brew Invisibility Potion- 2 hours 30 minutes
You need to find all 3 different potions to complete the first row in the potion brewing collection to unlock the brew growth potions option, you then need to find those 3 potions to unlock the brew youth potions option and find the 3 youth potions to unlock the final option which is brew levitation potions to find the last three to complete the collection

Brew Youth Potion- 4 hours 30 minutes
Brew Levitation Potion- 5 hours 30 minutes
NOTE: once you complete the collection for the first time you can find the potions in any order but you will still need to do each option to find the different potions to complete each row
TIP: only one sim can complete this hobby for the first time as you can only buy one cauldron, but you can send another sim to a neighbours town to complete this hobby (if they have a cauldron) after the first time you can buy 3 cauldrons so 3 sims can complete this hobby
