What is the maximum amount of sims you can have in one house?
4 is the maximum for living in a house at one time but you can invite other sims over and have 10 in a house or public place at once
How Many Sims Can I Have In My Town?
How do I get a sim to sleep through an alarm?
Click on bed, choose the option
How do I call a sim?
Using a phone
How do I invite a sim over?
Make sure they aren’t busy, go to the house you want them and click the whistle next to their picture
How do I use a computer?
Click on a computer in the game and choose the option you need.
I can’t add a new sim, why?
You may have reached the sim limit, you need to wait until you level up to unlock a new sim but you don’t always unlock a new sim each level.
Why can’t I add another baby?
A couple can only have 2 children as only 4 sims can live in a house at one time
A material just appeared above my sims head! What is this for?
These materials, for example granite as shown in the image below are used to upgrade the monuments on the island that you unlock during the Raiders of the Lost Artifacts Quest:
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
Do I need a birthday cake to age a sim?
Yes you need a birthday cake to age your sim to each life stage until you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies quest where your sims age automatically
If I bake a cake early will it be there when I need it?
Yes, it will be stored until you are ready to age your sim
Can I change my sims name/ gender etc?
How do I get two sims married?
Can I make my sims friends after they become nemesis?
Yes, just be nice until they become friends again
How do I save my game?
If you log into Game Center or Facebook in the game you can save it to one or both of those to save your game to the cloud. The game will save automatically each time you collect your daily reward but you can save it manually from the settings

Once you complete the Multi Story Renovations Quest you will unlock this and be able to build multi story houses

They need to clean the pool first and then they should do the action.

Help! I put my preteen bed in my inventory but cannot find it! Why?
If you haven’t completed the preparing for preteens quest yet you will not be able to see the preteen tab where the bed will be, once you complete the quest the bed should reappear

How much do houses, businesses or workplaces cost to build?
The price varies depending on how many other houses, business or workplaces you have already built, each time you build another one the price will increase but it will only increase for similar buildings, for example, if you build a house the price will only increase for the next house you build, it will not increase for businesses or workplaces too

How much do workplaces cost to build?
The price varies depending on how many other workplaces you have already built, each time you build another one the price will increase but it will only increase for similar buildings, for example, if you build a workplace the price will only increase for the next workplace you build, it will not increase for businesses or houses too
What is the difference between a career and a profession?
With professions you can go to work with your sims and help them out during their shift, with careers they will just go to work for a set amount of time and return when they have finished

They can’t see it because they aren’t seeing the most up to date version of your game, you need to connect to the cloud for them to see this version of your game
I can only visit Another Simtown, what items are available there?
If I skip a social task with LP will I still get the reward?
Yes you will
What items are needed to create a great social house?

Main Quests
I have missed a main quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (the order can be found here)
Can I complete a main quest even though I am passed the level it unlocks at?
Yes, it will start automatically once previous quests have been completed
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish a main quest?
Yes you have to finish it before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit
I don’t like a quest I am on! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete the quest before you can move onto the next one
Why are there two versions of some quests?
Some quests have two versions, as when the makers have updated the times for quests they haven’t updated them on all devices so some players still get the old times
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal
Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep these posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

I don’t get the option to watch SimChef on TV, why?
You will not get the option until you get the goal when the quest starts
Why can’t I buy a toaster?
You need to place a toaster on a counter or table, it won’t let you buy it if you try to put it on the floor
I can’t make cheese on toast, why?
You need to have a stove and a toaster in your house to be able to make cheese on toast
How do I invite a sim over?
Click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker
I can’t cook burgers why?
You need one sim to cook until they reach level 2 in cooking to unlock the burgers, if you use the same sim to cook for each cooking goal in this quest they will reach level 2 by the time you need to cook the burgers
Where can I find the chopping boards?
You need to complete the cooking hobby for the first time to unlock the chopping boards, they can then be found in the kitchen section of buy mode
Love is in the Air Quest
How do I get two sims in a house?
Click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker
Why can’t my sim kiss another sim on the cheek?
You have probably been romantic too many times, you need to be dating to get this interaction, if they are already partners you won’t be able to do this task. To get around this you need a sim to be romantic to a different sim until they are dating so you can complete this goal
How do I send a sim home?
Click on the house with the arrow in it button next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker
I can’t be romantic, why?
You cannot be romantic until you get the goal in this quest to be romantic
Two and a Half Sims Quest
I can’t place the magazines in my house, why?
You need to put them on a table or counter, you cannot place them on the floor
My sims won’t read the magazine, help!

Raiders of the Lost Artifacts Quest
How do I visit the island?
Click on the mysterious island bridge, this will take you to the island
I cannot find the third artifact, where do you find them?
You get them by random, by baking, gardening and using objects, I cannot tell you where to find them as any action can give you one. Try planting peppers or any other action that takes seconds to try and get it quickly
How long does it take to upgrade the riches of terra?
Go to the island and click on it and select upgrade and it will complete straightaway
Why haven’t you posted about monuments yet?

You can find it in your inventory under career and hobby items
I can’t afford the stables, how can I earn more simoleons?

No exclamation marks appear above items to clean up, what should I do?
Just click on items when a sim is there and it will come up with options on the things that need clearing
Can I have more than 4 sims cleaning the mess up at the stables?
Yes, you can have up to 10 sims at a place so 8 sims can clear the 8 items at the same time
How do I practice brushing another sim?
Select the interaction between two sims
My game says there is something under construction when I try to repair a stable, what do I do?
Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to repair the stable (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)

Hidden Unicorn Quest
Which is the unicorn jumping gate?
This is the arena at the stables that is not next to the other two gates
How do I bake rocky road?
Click on a stove and select baking and find rocky road
Does it matter if the rocky road burns?
No it will still complete the goal
My game says there is something under construction when I try to repair the gate, what do I do?

What is the magic castle?
The playhouse that is to the left at the swim center
How do I feed my toddler a snack?
You need an adult sim to select the interaction on a toddler
Does the cat stay at the swim center once the quest is complete?
No, it will disappear
Where are the dancing trees?

Does the adult need to clean up all the pee puddles?

I can’t afford simtown elementary, how can I earn more simoleons?

How do I serve the food?

I cannot find Wumples/Santa/Grouch! What should I do?
Firstly restart your device then try looking around all your houses in simtown for them, they have got to be somewhere!
Pizza is locked, how do I cook it?
Your sim needs to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave at that house
I cannot make the quiche, it is greyed out, why?
Your sim needs to be level 4 at cooking and have a 2 star fridge and stove
How do I give the mud pie to the Grouch? It disappeared!
You don’t see the mud pie, just click on the Grouch and select the option to give mudpie
My game says there is something under construction when I try to open the front door, what do I do?
Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to open the front door to the restaurant (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)
An Alien Concept: Weather Machines Quest
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker
How do I become friends with the alien?
Be nice to Osiris until your sim becomes friends with him, do this again to become best friends when you get that goal
I have spent S16,000 on items but the goal will not complete, why?
Make sure you are just buying items from the electronics section of buy mode
How do I negotiate with a sim eating plant?
You need to grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant then when it has you will be able to negotiate with it
How do I get my sims to woohoo?
You need two sims who are partners to be able to get this interaction
I already have a world globe, do I have to buy another one?
Yes you do or you cannot complete this quest
I don’t have a stereo, where can I find one?
You can buy one from the electronics section
Multi Story Renovations Quest
I can’t afford the community center, how can I earn more simoleons?

No, you cannot build the community center until you get the goal in this quest
The game says I have to complete the multi story renovations quest to be able to build the community center, what is the problem?
There is no problem, you have to start the multi story quest and the first goal is to build the community center so you cannot build it until you get that first goal in the quest
How do I send my sim to the community center?
Go to the community center and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker
I don’t understand what you mean when you say you can do both call the home store/ hotline goals at once to save time?
This goal appears twice so it is like being able to start a goal early that you have access to (read the question below if you don’t understand this) to do this you need two sims and two different houses:
1- When you get the goal to call home store you can set sim 1 to do the task
2- In a different house which you need to stay away from until you get the second goal you can have sim 2 also do the task
3- When sim 1 is done you complete the goal the first time
4- Wait until you get the goal again to call home store and you can go to sim 2 to complete it straight away!
Does it matter if the banana bread burns? Will the goal still complete?
The goal will still complete even if it causes a fire
I crafted the 1st set of woodworking items before I got the task to, my game now won’t complete the goal, what should I do?
You will need to find the next 3 items in the second row to complete this goal
I completed the quest but I cannot place stairs, why?
Firstly make sure you have rooms upstairs and also give this post a read, it explains how to add stairs to a house

You need to use the blackboard at the community center

Help, all items are greyed out apart from the magazines! What should I do?
Buy the magazines again, this should allow you to access the rest of buy mode
Do I need a teen for this quest?
Yes, in this quest you complete the teen idol hobby for the first time so a teen is required to complete all the goals
Can I have more than one teen doing this at once?
No, only one teen can be the teen idol and complete this hobby at one time
I have done the task write 3 pieces of music but it will not complete, why?
You need to write 3 different pieces, you cannot just do the task 3 times
Why can’t I buy the microphone yet?
You need to find all 3 pieces of music on the keyboard, then all 3 on the bass guitar, then all 3 on the drum kit, then all 3 on the guitar and then you will be able to buy the microphone
I cannot find one of the pieces, what should I do?
Some take longer to get than others to find so just keep going, you will find them eventually!
Adulthood Quest
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker
Do I need to use a teen for these tasks?
No, all can be done with an adult
How do I call a sim to the swim center?

Do I need the snow park to complete this quest?
Yes you do, you cannot complete the goal to visit the snow park without it
You cannot do this at a neighbours town, quest goals can only be completed in your town
How do I send my sim to the swim center?

I don’t have the option to feed or investigate the pigeons, why?
Make sure you using an adult sim
How do I search garbage for a cupcake?
Kick over the trash can first then you will get the option

What are discovery quests?

Why can’t I do a discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another discovery quest you will not be able to do another one until that is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do a discovery quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started a discovery quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish a quest?
Yes you have to finish it before you can move onto the next discovery quest

How do I start this discovery quest?
Build the sorcerous supplies store to start this quest
Does the time limit start when I click to build or once the building has complete?
Once it has finished building the quest and time limit will begin
Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Is it possible to complete this quest in the time limit?
Yes it is
How do I unlock the door to the wand room?
Select randomly rearrange
How do I place the magic wand podium, I can’t find it!
It will be in the hobby and career items section of your inventory
Everytime my sim gazes into the crystal ball it says ‘this place is too crowded’ why?
If you already have a sim at the wizards cottage you will get this message, use the simtracker to go to the sim who is already there instead of using the crystal ball
Can I do all the distract a mummy tasks at the same time?
No you can’t, you can only do them one at a time
How do I pack up the magic wand podium?
Click on it to pack up
The magic wand podium has disappeared once I’ve picked it up! How do I complete the hobby?

I have a question. I am currently doing the superhero toddler quest and am at the last action on the list. However, I won’t be able to finish on time and am wanting to use LPs to finish it. But an adult sim and toddler sim are doing the quest together. So do I use double the LPs to complete it to get them to finish it each or does it not work. Because I’ve already tried to use like 5lps on just the toddler to complete another action when the toddler and adult sim were watching tv together, but it didn’t work then.

I don’t think they fixed the two and a half sims glitch for everyone. I can’t participate in the onesie event either. EA page says it’s been fixed and something like the techs won’t be responding. I tried restarting device. I sent a request to them. I hope I hear from them soon. I’d like to try to get something. Any ideas that I could try?
If you are still having this problem and restarting doesn’t fix it then I’m very sorry but there is nothing I can do about this, I have let them know that lots of people are still having this problem so lets just hope they take another look at the problem as it clearly isn’t fixed. You could try contacting them but I don’t know if they would be any help as it says at the bottom of their page about the issue ‘Technical Support is unable to assist directly with this issue. The Game Team has corrected the issue.’ but it is worth a try.

Is this your first time at doing the hobby? As you haven’t been able to start the event yet you can only get one xylophone the first time you complete this hobby.

I have a question for You. I’m now lvl 15, in my tasks i can see 4 quests “Waiting in queene” these quests are unlocked by my lvl i think. At now im doing quests with horses/stable making etc …. If that “4 quests waiting in queene” the timer of this quests isn’t started yet? If I do my horses too long by using tokens i dont lose that four quests by timer down?
The timer for a quest will not start until you start the quest, it just shows them as in your queue because you are on the level to complete them so they will start straight away once you complete the previous quest.
So if I’ve done all the major quest and ask I have left is the mall and have some all discovery quest is that the end of the game? There will be no more quest?
No, the game is constantly updated with new discovery quests to keep it fresh, it doesn’t end when you complete all the quests.
Do yyou think you’ll ever do a page with the timed events listed (and maybe links to those pages). I looked and didn’t see any of them on your “All Posts” page. I would love to see what I’ve missed that might be coming back around.

Almost everyone seems to be having problems with their toddlers in this update, unfortunately this is a technical issue so there is nothing I can do to fix it so you will either have to contact EA or wait for them to fix it because I am sure they have been told about this issue a lot already
Is there any reason why my neighbors town won’t update? I am level 58 and my wife is a neighbor. I got my wife playing because she saw me play. I told her how to do most everything until she completed life dreams and legacies. My wife is on level 32. I was telling her that there was a lack of rugs in the game. All I have is the Latin rugs and the breakdancing rug. My wife watched me play quite awhile and is fairly familiar to what I have available in the game. She told me that she has a lot more rugs and other things that she has not seen in my game. Since my wife is a lower level than me, she told me that she created a house on the island with all the rugs that she has and other things that she has not seen in my game. She told me to check it out. I went to her town and the house is not there, along with some of the other buildings she has built. I mentioned it to her and she shows me the house from her town. She didn’t show me what was in it. That’s how I found out there was other buildings that don’t show up. I showed her what it looks like on my phone, she tells me that is what her town looked like around level 27 and tells me that she from 27 to 32 just today. Why is her town not updating on my game?
Your wife will need to save her game to the cloud so you can see the most up to date version of her game then you will be able to see that house. Everytime she adds something new for you in her town she will need to do this otherwise you will not be able to see it in her town as you are seeing an older version of her game.

I need some help..for the Spa quest I’m stuck between using my Social points for the mega spin plant or Use 400 Quartz to get more construction coins. It takes a few hours just to replace the lost Quartz and I have 41 social points that I don’t use anything with but it takes awhile to earn it.

As you don’t have many SPs I would recommend you use the other plant that costs quartz,you will only need just under 20,000 quartz to purchase items anyway so the rest can be used on the spin plant to earn your coins.
You could use the social point plant on a normal garden patch that costs 5LPs to make SPs but you can still earn a good amount of coins on the cheaper spin plant

First of all, thanks so much for all the effort you put in this blog.
I wanted to mention update issues for kindle users. There is no search feature for kindle app update. It’s either automatic, prompted (which you can ignore), or (as it happened to me during the spa event) becomes necessary. If the latter happens, you have to save your game to cloud, uninstall the app, reinstall the basic game, upload your game, and the FINALLY reinstall all extra content that was already earned in addition to the update that you missed in the first place.
Advice to kindle users……. just accept all updates unless you want to lose at least 2 hours of playing time.

Why did my husband unlock things at different levels than I did? I had to wait until level 12 or somewhere in that area to unlock hearts wallpaper and floors, he got it with completing the love quest much earlier. I unlocked things at 14 that my husband had to wait until his level was in the upper 20s. I had stuff early on that my husband had to wait awhile for, but the latter is true for other things
When they update the game they change things like this so it may just be that they just changed the level that those items unlock at in an update
Hi I have an inquiry, is it possible that a user made Spa will be made in the Archetict homes tab?? I don’t think I will get all the prizes in the event. I have the open entrances, clear reflections, and the steam room sets of the community tab. For the personal progress I have robes, interior decorations, the mud bath and the outdoor spa. I just don’t have enough time to save up for construction coins.
Farming for gems 5 to 9 hours is pretty long and I used that the first few days, so Now I have stuff to do at home I use the 3 hour time, so I can check on it. It’s pretty hard to collect the bonues every few minutes! But I have done it a few times at night.

Why won’t the buy a tree task or the cook on the stove task ever complete? Today’s weekly tasks told me to buy a tree, I bought three different kinds of trees and it never said task complete, I bought a maple, an elm, and a silverbirch, by then I just paid 10 LP to skip it. Later, it told me to cook on the stove, I had a level 5 cook make chicken salad by tapping stove, select cooking, and chose the highest one available, upon completion, no task complete, another 10 LP spent. I have more problems with weekly tasks not registering that I completed them than any other quest tasks.
Cook an item is misleading because it actually means to bake an item such as cookies

Hello, I’ve been trying to build a Japanese inspired house but I’ve just noticed I don’t have the tatami mats flooring in my house store. Is there any way to get it? Or is it a glitch? This is frustrating.

The mats flooring doesn’t unlock until level 51 I believe so you may have a while to wait!

You have probably been logged out of facebook or game center in the game so you will need to log back in and this should fix this issue
How can I go back to the toddler quest because it says that I have to pass the a toddler quest which is attained at level 12 and I wanted my baby to have a birthday how can I go back to the quest please help me immediately..
Did you read this post? This is already answered. You cannot miss a quest, you need to complete main quests in order.

The puppy odyssey quest is a discovery quest, you need to find the puppy in the park to start this quest as long as you aren’t currently on another discovery quest.
i have no more discovery quest to finish (i believe) and i still can’t see any puppy in the park. been waiting for it every end of the quests before

For the boutique hair event, do you have to do a specific option on the fashion studio, or can you get everything unlocked using the lowest time option?? I started using the ‘working overtime’ option, but feel like I’m never going to make it all the way through with it. Thanks!!

My question is about VIP.
I’m at level 6 and it says I can have another sim live in my house. I have a family of 5 consisting of a married couple, a toddler and 2 babies. I placed another crib in my home and the add baby icon isnt showing up. I haven’t maxed out the number of sims in my town or anything. Any idea about what’s going on? I also have 2 pets. A two story house also.

You already have your extra sim as you have a family of 5, usually you can only have 4 sims in one house.

Yes it does, the prices and time for the other houses increases when you build a houseboat.
How many babies do I really need?? I like their cute outfits but I find that I can do a bit more with toddlers. Toddlers and preteens are my favorite age group. I have three right now, I have two more baby outfits to unlock, but I’m not in no hurry. Im curious about how many babies do you have in your town?

hi again, if I demolish a house, am I gonna spend to build another again? Or will it just demolish the rooms and the lot will be empty?
Just delete the rooms individually otherwise you will have to build the house again which will cost you when you demolish it

I don’t know how it happened but one of my preteen is homeless! I divorced her parents. Moved her father sim into a friend’s and moved mother in to a friend’s and preteen daughter is still living at the original home!?
Why did she not move with a parent?
It won’t let me “ask to move in” after best friending moms friend!? I know how to fix it except to move mom back to original house. (Not what i was wanting to do)
Any ideas?
She will have to be a teen if you want to get the ask to move in option, there isn’t much you can do while she is still a preteen.

I’ve been a lurker on your website for a couple of months now and I’m having an issue that maybe not everyone else is having? I use the free LP/Simoleons/SP/EXP option on the goals tab but for the past three days, I’ve only been earning Simoleons and EXP. Watching ads is my primary source for earning LP/SP since it gradually adds up, but I was wondering whether or not this was just an issue I was having or something all players are experiencing? Just curious if you’re experiencing this as well.

No, you will need to go on the game before the time is up otherwise you will not complete in the time limit.
I have 7 queued quests and have tried so many different things to start the A Quest For Toddlers.

What quest are you currently on? You need to complete them in order so you will not be able to start A Quest for Toddlers until all the previous main quests have been completed.
I’m doing the love is in the air quest and I kept telling my sims to be romantic so now they’re partners. I didn’t know I was supposed to move on so now it tells me to get them to date but they already are because I moved on. I can’t move to other quests.

My question is that I can find them on Play Games but I cannot add them there(as mentioned in your post), I need to add them on Google+. How do I find the respective person’s G+ profile from there. Yes you unlock different outfits when you build the costume and swim store so it is worth it.
